I'd honestly never heard of Divan Base Direct, until my husband showed me the website, we were in desperate need of a new base, after ours gave up on us from years of use, to say I was impressed with the whole transaction from ordering our base to delivery is an understatement, I'm far beyond impressed!
The quality of the base is superb, I was skeptical when I realised how light the two pieces were, but that soon disappeared, we've already decided that in the future when any of the beds bases need upgrading we will definitely be looking here first.
Prices are fantastic too, which "joking apart" in this day and age is always good.

Good selection online, once I had ordered a follow up the day after to confirm delivery. Excellent communication from the delivery team, friendly and respectful of our apartment. Even delivered on a bank holiday. The base and ottoman are well made, sturdy and look lovely. Great job by all!

Really happy with my new divan. I had been checking the website for expected delivery dates as I needed it delivering on a specific day. When I placed the order I received a phone call with the expected delivery date but it was longer than expected. Explained my situation and the lady said she would try and rush things through. I chased it up a few days later and then received a notification to say its on its way. I was a bit concerned that it might not arrive on time but all was perfect and the delivery men took their shoes off at the door without being asked. 5* service thanks

The superior buld strength version of their ottaman bed base is well worth the small premium.

Got a headboard from here and it’s lovely quality. Colour matched the pics online which I was worried about but all turned out perfect

Absolutely shocking. Delivered broken, damaged, i paid for reinforced and it has none.

So cheap and lightweight i carried it upstairs alone. Cheap plastic feet supplied without rubber bottoms.

Corner of materials baggy, stitching terrible quality. Quite honestly my worst purchase yet

Excellent, prompt service. A fabric sample reached me 24hrs after my request and the headboard that I ordered arrived very quickly. The quality was excellent and the fabric was exactly what I wanted.

Good choice of products, easy ordering service, clear timelines for delivery and excellent communication to confirm delivery date and time slot. Also very happy with the service provided by the delivery and collection contractors

The website was easy to use with accurate product information. They bed and mattress seem well made and arrived in under a fortnight

Once assembled (by us) we were very pleased with the colour and quality. It fits our King size mattress perfectly. The drawers are spacious and come ready made up and in place.
We chose self assembly because we considered the prices quoted for assembly and even removing the thick plastic 'bags' and disposal of same to be on the pricy side.
The only snag we had was trying to fit the bars provided for fitting the bases together. Even with the metal clips provided to hold the two bases together whilst doing this kept dropping out. We got round this by actually screwing the bases together which has solved the problem and is working perfectly.
Overall a good product and recommended.

Fantastic! Headboard is high quality at a very reasonable price. The material we wanted was out of stock (confirmed after we placed the order) but customer services offered us a close alternative or to wait. We chose to wait until the fabric was back in stock and they kept us updated along the way. Highly recommend for customer service, value for money and the premium product itself. Delivery smooth, too.

Bed is good though messily made, which considering I paid extra for the better quality one is annoying. It arrived in filthy plastic which the delivery guys smeared all over my new carpets and walls, and is marked. I noted this when signing to receive it as asked, but had heard nothing from the company since.

Be aware the beds come with no build instructions, and take the maximum amount of time to make as is advertised.

All in all, wouldn’t order again.

Update: In response to what the company claim in their reply to this review - it was definitely Divan Base Direct. Their denial and refusal to take responsibility is typical of the dishonest way they operate.

The mattress we received differed considerably from the mattress pictured on the website.

Even the materials described on the mattress itself differ from the website description.

The company just fudged and denied - and communication was slow, vague, and at times disingenuous.

They insisted that the internal materials were the same - presumably safe in the knowledge that the only way for us to test this was to slice open the mattress.

Our efforts to arrange a refund were met with a demand for a 50% cancellation fee and a £60 collection charge.

Tired of the company’s attitude - and without a mattress - we accepted our bad decision and started using the product that was delivered.

The mattress that we now have has already started sinking - and in our opinion doesn’t appear to be of good quality at all.

We deeply regret this purchase.

Excellent communication and delivery. Mattress perfect, supportive and so comfy. Unbelievable value for money.

Happy with the bed, looks really good. But had issues with the delivery - damage to carpet and light fittings. Have given this feedback to the delivery company and emailed them with details but no response.
