Antoinette put together a terrific package for us (6 travelers) that exceeded all of our expectations. I provided the dates, general guidance on the type of experience we wanted, and budget. Antoinette did all the rest. I usually plan all of my own vacations, but I could not have done this on my own.

The Kenya part of the trip was excellent. The driver/guide was very knowledgeable and supportive. The Tanzania driver/guide was inexperienced and the vehicle also was not up to the standards. During the later part of the trip, the vehicle broke down and we had to hitch a ride on our own with another party.

Trip planning was terrific as was the execution.

The best thing about the trip was the staff and guides, everyone from being picked up at the airport was fantastic. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was the first hotel was too noisy. The room was ok staff were great but the noise level from the street was terrible.

I rarely award 5/5 stars for any product or service but in this case I am delighted to make an exception.
Last September I reviewed safari holidays and travel agents in South Africa and after seeing outstanding reviews for Discover Africa in Cape Town I decided to use them.
My advisor with DA was (the excellent?) Vihann Van Wyck and I found him efficient, knowledgeable and competent. He organised a 9 day holiday consisting of a 4-day safari at the wonderful Timbavati Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park followed by 4 days in Cape Town touring the stunning scenery surrounding it.
The service from start to finish was excellent from being met at Johannesburg airport by a personally chauffeured car to wonderfully attentive staff at Timbavati to a great personal chauffeur/guide showing me around the beautiful Cape town area.

Discover Africa was a great company to plan our African dream. Devryn was always responsive and patient with us! He planned a great trip. We went to the gorillas in Rwanda, went on a 3 day Serengeti safari, and a beach holiday in Zanzibar.
Was very impressed.

I found the agency through an Internet search and contacted it without really knowing where I was landing.
We were late and had special requests. Susan, our agent, understood our requirements very well and worked to meet them. All her proposals were very well targeted. Very pleasant to have someone listening. Easy interaction, even at a distance, great availability. And this didn't stop once the reservations were made. I'm thinking in particular of the follow-up for health and consular requirements.

On site, everything worked very well. Smooth, on-time transfers, attentive, very professional staff.
We stayed at two lodges, in Kenya and Tanzania, for a total of 6 days. Two different experiences, two top experiences. Beautiful facilities, friendly, smiling staff, competent and attentive driver/guide. Two game drives per day, a lot of animals, small ones, big ones, thousands of pictures, lots of magical moments.
My siblings and I went on this safari to honour our recently deceased older brother. The response from the people on site was simply incredible in its warmth and humanity.

Yes, a safari isn't cheap, but it's an experience, a gift to yourself.

We had such a wonderful experience thanks to Vihann. All we knew was that we wanted to go to Botswana, so he booked us at a lodge in Chobe National Park and one in the Okavango Delta. Both areas amazing in completely different ways. The experience was seamless. No hassles, no mix ups. When we got the days confused booking our own hotel after the safari, he caught our mistake and helped us out. Even though we planned this next part of the trip on our own, a courtesy van was waiting at the Maun airport to take us to our hotel.

What an amazing trip of a lifetime! Could not have asked for better planning and they listened to what I had to say! Everything was top notch from beginning to end. My first solo trip and I was never afraid for one minute. Their recommendations of the two camps I stayed in were spot on and now I have new lifetime friends that I met while there. What a great company to work with!!! My hat if off to these people.

Our Trip was planned by DEVRYN there was not one glitch. Every detail we asked for was accomplished and more. DEVRYN remained in contact with us through every leg of our trip. Discover Africa was always very quick to respond to mails, arrange zoom meetings to establish our priorities for our trip and set us up with what we wanted. Antoinette made the appropriate recommendations as well. We will visit in October I can’t wait…

Excellent organisation, from start to end flaweless

Had an awesome Kruger safari and saw the big 5!

Very prompt with reply and great customer service. Tailor your experiences; can organise pick-ups etc. Things to improve on would be the communication around transportation e.g. time of pick-up etc as the timing were slightly off or you had to organise and check it yourself as communication between the pick up company can be disconnected.
