We bought a brand new BMW Coupe in February 2025 and we can't fill my car up with screen wash on my driveway? We have contacted BMW customer service with not much help. We have been in contact with Tom Sutton Head Business on Swindon and advised maybe should turn the car on the driveway the other way up .

We have.been told it's a design issue with BMW when they make the cars- if we was advised when buying the car if would be a problem then we would have not bought the car . Will be contacting Watchdog TV and all the papers for help!!!!

The reason I bought my bike from Dic Lovett BMW in the first place was because of how impressed I was with the service! But it doesn’t stop there, I had a similar experience in Poland when my old bike was due a service.

Took my BMW R1200R for 2 recalls. Was initially told would take around 2 hours, if shaft drive needed replacing then 4 hours max. So I decided to stay in showroom area, have a browse and coffee as weather was awful .6 Hours later I finally get to leave with my bike. Asked what had been done and if I can get a copy of work done. Was told that only inspected the shaft and drilled a hole in swing arm for any condensation to drain out-then put a plug in it. Work on foot pegs recall not carried out. Whilst apologetic about time taken, I could have replaced the whole swingarm and shaft drive myself in that time. He said he was unable to give copy of worksheet on work carried out, even though they are safety recalls and it is my bike.

From start to the end the customer service was great and they when far and beyond. The sales representative was great explaining everything and he made the process so simple and easy.

Motorrad, The new manager in Motorrad, has the typical attitude I would expect from a Lovetts manager, arrogant is an understatement. You just think that things are improving, Then yet again a change of management. I give up, Il be taking my business to Cotswold Motorrad in the future.

I e-mailed in via their enquiry's e-mail on 20th May and had a automated response to say someone will contact you shortly. After waiting for over a week I then called and got put though to the right department where the lady said she had received my e-mail and was awaiting a response from their other department. At this point I was told I would get a call back that afternoon and I've had no contact since! I didn't have the best experience when I last used them with my car but though I would try again but sadly still the same lack of poor communication! It's very disappointing.

Having actually been into D*ck Lovett BMW in Bristol looking at cars a little while ago, I often see their material on Instagram. I know influencer marketing is popular this days but I was shocked to see what I thought was a highly reputable organisation actively promoting their delight in selling to one of the most concerning influencers to have emerged over the last few years - Elle Swift. For those unaware, Elle is behind some of the most unpleasant social media posts I've ever seen, racist, homophobic, abusive and just plain nasty. I can only assume the marketing team had done insufficient due diligence but when I pointed this out D*ck Lovett immediately blocked me. Not the sort of behaviour I would expect as a long term BMW fan and customer. (Hilariously, Trust Pilot insists D*ck is inappropriate language, hence the asterisks)

We didn't go in to buy, just browse! £70k later, we've bought a brand new car!!

Sophie Allen was exceptional in her knowledge and professionalism and we didn't feel pushed or hard sold....overall a wonderful experience and we're very happy with the outcome.

Swindon branch- ignored by receptionist then when we asked for help, took our phone number (?) and told us to wait. 30 mins in dealership and no assistance, so we left and no-one was bothered!

I guess we’ll buy our next car elsewhere!

Mike in sales was great and Phil in service was super helpful. You don't seem to get this with other motorcycle brands any more (especially orange ones)!

D Lovett Motorrad Bristol - Picked my bike up 2 weeks after viewing as it needed a service and an MOT. On reviewing the bike I found that the front tyre had several cracks in it. Not what you would expect to be missed on a service and especially an MOT.
On pointing this out to the Salesman, he was very apologetic and said they would immediately replace the front and back tyres. I had travelled 2 hours to collect so decided to wait. The Salesman directed me to a local dinner and said he would reimburse me with the cost of breakfast. I am still waiting for reimbursement.
None of this is what you would expect when buying from a main dealer.

Visiting Melksham and had issue with my X3, contacted them and the service dept took the car in promptly, carried out a recall repair and resolved my problem very quickly. Kept me updated at all times and answered all my questions. Could not fault them and they really did go the extra mile. Many thanks guys

The whole purchase process was seamless, transparent and easy. Tim Chard kept us informed throughout the process and ensured the purchase experience was as straightforward and simple as possible. A great ambassador for the brand and a highly experienced sales person. Tim also added some nice touches that elevated the experience. A pleasure all round.

Great experience buying my Discovery 5 at Melksham. Nicholas, Nick and Niall were absolutely great. Would recommend visiting the dealership. From browsing to purchase to driving away...all took just a few weeks end to end. Very happy with our new Disco :D

Ordered a part and tried to source another from Bmw motorrad was told to continue the conversation via email replied to an email to chase parts required no reply after a week or so phoned company was told it would be passed on to original service advisor a week later no reply after contacting again finally got through to chase previous parts ordered two weeks prior to be told lost in the post
Managed to order the parts needed from bmw Alton with greater response than Bristol’s efforts

In February 2024, my father-in-law purchased a BMW 2 Series from D. Lovett Melksham, advertised as having full service history. We later discovered the service history didn’t exist in full at the time of sale.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve this privately, including a confirmed GDPR breach, conflicting documents, and manual alterations to BMW’s service system after the sale, the dealership have refused to uphold our complaint.

A buyback offer of just £8,300 (39% less than paid 13 months ago, with minimal use) was their only solution — and even that was presented without proper resolution of the service history issues.

Legal advice confirms this is a textbook case of misrepresentation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and we are now pursuing external action via the Motor Ombudsman, BMW UK, Trading Standards, and the ICO.

We delayed going public out of courtesy, hoping the dealership would act in good faith — but they have not. We will update this review if any party delivers a lawful, fair, and ethical outcome.
