Terrible. When I booked the taxi through an automated system no one told me is cash only. I have used the taxi rank before and paid by card through a Link they sent me. When we arrived at the destination the driver Ajmal Riaz was very intimidating and without my permission decided to drive time to the cash point. We agreed to do bank transfer so I can just get out. Felt like I was held hostage. Absolutely disgusting and will be reporting this further now that I have drivers name.

Could not book a taxi as there card service was not working, confirmed payment link on 3 separate occasions. Despite extortionate rates (£17.90 for a 4 minute journey) we accepted and confirmed 3 times, said we could pay cash and was met with I'll manners and no help

Absolutely despicable. after calling the firm at 2 pm to book a taxi in advance for my younger foster sister who is a quad amputee. DG Cars told me that my taxi was booked.
After enjoying a good day, with my foster sisters at the arcade and cinema. It was brought to an abrupt end, by the lack of accountability and compassion from this company. Not only did they Cancel the taxi, but they waited until five minutes before the taxi was meant to arrive. I understand that the agent on the phone was not liable for this problem. However, the company held no policy to give further assistance for a disabled person in need. Frankly this is not the first experience I’ve had with services for disabled people as such and it makes me sad that people who are in a similar position. Do not have access to normal services like the average Joe. Something needs to change..

Second time we have ordered a taxi from these people My wife is disabled and so he parked about two hundred meters away from the door and drove off before we could get there. Absolutely disgusting service and most definitely will not be using them again. Minus five stars. Avoid this film.

Very friendly driver earlier than expected

I phoned to book a taxi we agreed a price. Got another phonecall to say it would be another £12. All because my wife was a wheelchair user. It is illegal to charge extra just because we have a wheelchair

Used DG for journey to Heathrow. Service was excellent, driver was punctual, polite, helpful and courteous. Car was very clean and driving was excellent. On return the driver was waiting for us at Heathrow, the car was clean and again the driver was polite, helpful and drove back to Nottingham very well. Thank you DG, would certainly use them again.

Shamus our driver from East Midlands airport was fantastic.
Never stops talking but had a good laugh on our way home from holiday.
Recommend him highly & hope to travel with him again

The taxi was booked to arrive a.s a .p, within 10 minutes the taxi arrived and rung me to let me know the driver was waiting outside my workplace. Driver was polite and took me to where I wanted to be, which was a different stop. No issues at all. It was a very good service.

Booked taxi ahead as catching a train. Car didn’t arrive but seemed to be on its way but it then disappeared. Nothing from dg cars. I called and they said the taxi driver had cancelled. as it was a busy time they initially said it would be 5 mins wait then when didn’t arrive I called again and car hadn’t even been allocated. Car arrived 10 mins before train due so I missed by train. Absolutely terrible customer service. The only decent part was the taxi driver who finally picked me up as he was so nice

I like it when my car arrives on time. I dislike it when am been told the car is 5mins close then is 40mins away and after waiting they cancel your ride leaving you stranded
And I dislike when the car isn’t clean Today I stain myself with my partner after we sat in the car And another trip we had too there was a bad scent in the car aswell . But one thing I like is that they are 24/7 available especially when is emergency. Thanks

It's very unusual for me to take time to put up a review but i felt it necessary on this occasion based purely on the impression left with me by the DG taxi driver who just dropped me at the East Midlands Airport. The driver literally blew me away with his manner and old school gentleman kindness. I didn't have to lift a finger, the gent loaded and unloaded my luggage and even opened the door to let me out on arrival and was super friendly and taught me a shorter route to the airport saving me a quid or so!!! (:). Great experience all round.

Ordered taxi for patient 45 mins & 4 phone calls, all cut off. Then taxi called to say they were waiting, at the wrong hospital!!!! Then told 5 mins. Never turned up. 1 cold frustrated patient. Called another company , there in 5 mins. DG useless & won’t be recommending

Terrible driver stole my bag which I accidentally left the back of the cab,these drivers are ment to be trusted but clearly they are dishonest.

Car never showed up. Not only that car not assigned to the job booked the night before. Train missed as a result.

Tried to call, nobody answers just a useless automated system saying it was looking for a driver….this was after the time I was due to be collected.

You would think that it’s not beyond the skills of a competent developer to add a feature that if there is a risk that a booking can’t be completed they would message you with notice.

When I searched for a driver there were none in my local area, 5 min after I was due to be collected. So hmm maybe if the closest available driver is 10’min away and one hasn’t been assigned within 10min of the booked time, the app (as there doesn’t seem to be a person involved) might start flagging to the waiting perspective passenger that there may be a problem and they may need to consider alternative plans.

A booking 30 min ahead of a booked train, where the journey is less than 10 min feels like a reasonable amount of time to provide a competent company to get you to the station.

Very disappointed and I always leave 5 star reviews for this firm. I booked a Taxi yesterday 14 December around 3pm. I was astonished that the fare had gone up by £3.00 in just a few days as I made the very same journey less than a week ago. I was told that they increase the fares at their busiest times. I thought this would be for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and News Day. I use this taxi firm on a weekly basis but I may now have to try other taxi firms to compare prices.

Booked taxi to City Hospital the evening before due to a very early start. Online booking process very easy! (& gives option to pay cash in taxi which I prefer). Taxi arrived bang on time the next morning.

Later booked DG Cars again by telephone to return home & was lucky as driver was already there waiting for the next job! However, from previous experience, was confident they'd get there promptly anyway.

2nd 5-star review for DG Cars in 2 weeks as, service excellent, especially with informative texts as was 1st time.

Would definitely use again & recommend to others.

I've now deleted their App and will not be using them again. They have refused to refund a cancelled trip. Numerous phone calls and followed their instructions to log it officially, they got back to me this morning with a screenshot of a 5* review of a trip I had actually taken and NOT THE ONE I had cancelled!!! Please check out their refund policy very carefully!

Booked via the App, easy transaction and always turn up on time with good and friendly drivers. Used before and will definitely use again. Book with confidence
