Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. We bought a sofa from the DFS Sheffield Fornham Street store after being specifically assured by our sales adviser, Kevin, that because we were purchasing for a new-build property with no confirmed completion date, we could change the delivery date provided we gave at least two weeks' notice.

When our completion date changed, I contacted DFS over five weeks before the scheduled delivery, only to be told the date couldn't be changed. This was the complete opposite of what we had been told before purchasing.

After numerous calls to Customer Services, a visit to the store, and waiting nine days for a promised callback from Store Manager David Cowling, the only solution offered was to cancel and reorder the sofa for the date we needed—but only if we paid an extra £200.

I eventually escalated the complaint to the CEO's office after getting nowhere through the normal channels. Even then, despite being promised a response within 1–2 working days, I received nothing and had to chase again.

Misleading sales advice, poor communication, broken promises, and no willingness to take responsibility or put things right. I expected far better customer service from DFS and would not recommend this store based on my experience.

Excellent experience, really straight forward and got all the information we needed.

Went in today with the view of narrowing down which sofa we wanted, staff were welcoming and friendly but didn’t not push sales on us. We walked round on our own and they were there to help us when we were ready. Very professional and knowledgable staff

Great service by the advisors at DFS they gave great advice and went through everything in detail. Would recommend DFS to everyone they have a fantastic range and good deals .

A calm and welcoming visit to the Sheffield branch. No pressure sales just friendly and informative.

As soon as we walked through the door we was made to feel welcome, not the pushy sales team you sometimes get to the freedom to walk around and then approach one of the sales team. The male salesman the we dealt with was great and very knowledgeable of the item we was looking at. Would give him 10 out of 10

Ordered the foster 3 seat recliner and foot stool the delivery guys were spot on arranged the sofa exactly where i wanted it there was a missing sofa car kit products but i emailed customer support and the care kit arrived the next day brilliant service from start to finsh
