I can only warn people to use craigslist for searching apartments. I checked the ads in craigslist Istanbul several times during one year.
And I made always the experience that most of the people behind the ads were fakes or criminal.
Many guys for example offer fake apartments just to get in contact with women. There is one guy that always says that he has just rented his apartment, but you could meet him.
Other people offer furnished apartments for rent, but in reality they are real estate people that try to sell apartments to foreigners.
Some people just collect your data, they ask you to send more personal informations, yor name, your age, your income, your phone number etc.. But they never answer again, and they will never tell you their name.
And the bad thing is, you can not report any ads and fakes. What kind of company is that? Seems as unserious as the people the put ads there.
My opinion: Stay away from this website, if you don´t want to get into trouble.

I got scammed by a John Grayson III he claimed to be the owner at 6 Kingdton Mill Rd..locatedin Durham NC...He got $500 from me...I will NO LONGER use Craig's list or any other list to purchase anything....They need to remove this site or secure it better....

it’s literally just riddled with sex/sexually suggestive ads. they need to remove it asap ruins the whole entire site for actual gigs and jobs. so stupid

Tried to publish an ad looking for a lost connection in Canada. Publishing is not possible without phone verification, but only US and Can phone numbers can be used. No help in the "help pages". Why shall we use craiglist? Just another piece of useless s...

Craigslist censors all gender keywords
I tried to post a rental listing last week, and have a description like this: "One of the rooms is rented to a 4th-year male student, and we look for a respectful tenant to rent the other room." Craiglist blocks the post automatically, citing that the keyword "male" is used regardless of the intention of its usage. It's an automatic block. No human review or flagging.

I don't know why Craigslist does that. I hope Craigslist doesn't mean what I am afraid it means.

They have nothing in order. The platform is plain and old. I think that people are starting to realize this more and more. It lacks so much its impossible to name it all in this post. Another thing is that most the time people do not check the ads in most categories. That is why I had moved to USclassifiedinfo.com its more of a place where you have freedom and you can chat with others

I wouldn't give this site any stars! It sucks!! Too may solicitor's and scammers and too many people flag your ad for nothing! Too many low life people on this site that just want stuff for free! Too many no show people too that say they're interested in your stuff and never show! What a waste of time! Craigslist needs to remove people being able to flag your classified items(a lot of revengeful people out there!)..I still get solicitor's and scammers contacting me!! Doesn't make any sense!

I been looking for a 4 bedroom on craigslist..I been through 3 different people and every single one of them was a scam..I mean every single one!! They get houses off of Google then post them for rent tell you to fill out the application on line and tell you approve and send in the money.. without you going to see the house or nothing and when you ask them about it they have a excuse why they can't..I never sent money Thank God..Just be careful please..I don't think no one on here is a legit rental..

Stay the hell away from this site!!! If you don't get hacked, you might just get robbed by someone pretending to be someone else! Take my word and BEWARE!!!

read the title. If I come across a scammer; all I get to do is hit a flag button that does nothing. Meanwhile, others are being scammed. I’d like a button that makes the post red as a warning until its looked into by Craigslist which probably will never happen because all this is now is a joke. Sad day. And to post this I have to add my email address so I can get more unsolicited emails. Thanks dcks !

I paid for a few ads. After a few days I was notified that my ads had been flagged. But didn't give me any reason. Said that I was going to be given a one time refund. Still waiting for the $25 I wasted.
Ads that clearly are looking for sexual contact are ok and stay up until the ad expires.
There are a ton of ads in the same category for the same company and that's allowed. Makes it difficult to find the real ads.
Scammers are allowed to post ads and that's allowed.

Hello everyone in 2016 I was robbed home invasion my laptop cell phone etc was taken. Within 3 hours a terrible message was sent out on Craig's list . I was never a member of Craig's list but this message ruined me it went viral around the globe I've been running for my life ever since. Bob

Craigslist is a joke these days! I recently tried to sell a vehicle on here and nothing but scammers responded. Wanting a vehicle report from specific un secure sites. Vehiclereportpro.com and another I can’t remember. I will never use Craigslist again!

I’m looking at boats. Craigslist reads 600 boats. In fact about 100 boats and 500 unrelated crap items like cars and furniture. Not worth looking any more

The worst site that exists, only serves for people to send you messages to give you a blow. They ask if you are real and say they will send you a 6-digit code and if you send this code they have access to everything from your phone. I posted a job ad because I need to work. And mean people on this site just want to ruin you. Administrators should make more security so that this doesn't happen to honest people anymore.

Craigslist used to be a good place. No security anymore. All that money they make and total scammers on there!!! They rely on the community to flag scammers!! That's a joke. Again.
