Yet again weekend outage with no support!

Customer service from Jade was a delight.
I had an issue or so I thought (I didn’t actually, I was mistaken)
Jade ‘talked me down’ (by email) like an expert pilot in the control tower helping a passenger land a 747.

Top customer service, efficient, effective, personable whilst remaining professional.

Things have been challenging from the very start with it hard to get clear information about equipment setup and preparation for switchover to the new service, ability to use our own equipment and us even being billed for service before it was configured and actually working!

Lots of 'admin issues', but by FAR the biggest issue are the endless outages, the last one lasting just short of 2 days. Outage after outage after outage. It is clearly a very fragile network with no alternate routes and multiple single points of failure. Consequently, it only needs one thing to ‘break’ and the service goes out … again. And of course, these days that takes both internet and landline, and being in a rural area, mobile signal isn’t great, meaning loss of service really does cut you off. Worse, it is a supposed business service. How many businesses can operate losing internet and phones for 2 days at a go?

600mbps might be nice for the occasional large file upload/download, but for sure, our prior 60+mbps FTTC service was FAR superior as it was rock-solid and never went down … unlike the CBB service where even planned maintenance takes the service out for large portions of a day.

Once again, we have found the service to have gone down over a weekend. There is no way of contacting CB at weekends and all they do is send an automated message telling me that the service is down and they are “working to restore it”. No-one answers a phone call and all I can do is send them a complaint email. It’s a great service when it is working, profit is Monday to Friday. Hardly ever had outage issues with BT. Just be aware that 24/7 backup does not exist

During initial consultation, we were advised that they'd install FTTP on the condition that we'd sign up for 2:years, and that after that time, we'd be able to seek other providers, using the system. However, they have now decided not to open the lines to other ISPs so, we have two options - go back to copper, it carry on paying them.

I wanted to leave during the initial 2 year period because of the shoddy service and unreliable speeds, but as per agreement, I was tied. My intention was to leave at the earliest opportunity, but now I'm stuck with these people

I have contacted County Broadband's Technical Support Department several times throughout the year 2025, not so much because things were "going wrong" but more because I wanted to "do things" and needed advice how to do them best. Every contact I had was supportive, friendly and responses came very fast (either on the phone or online). I feel really looked after by this team. Korshy was outstanding with his knowledge and his patience sharing it with me. He made solving all my little niggling problems interesting and I learned a lot. Thank you so much! I am so glad that I have changed my broadband provider to County Broadband and I am looking forward to continue being one of their very happy customers. Happy New Year 2026 to you all!

Never responded to my multiple calls and emails when I attempted to sign up in 2023 when they were a fairly new business. Looking at the reviews now what a blessing in disguise it was not signing up. You’d think a new company would be desperate for people to sign up, not this company clearly. Very poorly managed and fully earned this one star review.

County Broadband is in my experience, a caring broadband provider, who generally speaking, appears to give an excellent level of service, but is particularly attentive to it’s older customers. Cost and service comparisons with other providers are very favourable, but where the organisation excels is it’s customer care, where a human being will generally be available to deal with your requirements without a lengthy wait or, having to remember which of a long list of alternatives you need to identify to get to the next step!
My advice, check out some cost comparisons and be surprised, even more so when, staff members like Donna Dixon volunteer to sort out the paperwork for you!

County Broadband Customer Service is excellent. I have contacted them several times by email and they have always replied the same day either by email or phone. An issue had developed with my landline recently which Leon looked into thoroughly and quickly. I highly recommend CB to anyone changing their network supplier.

Donna gave clear information that helped reduce the cost of the service being provided to me and answered a question quickly and efficiently.

I could not log in to renew my broadband contract online. So rang your help line who took my details and got a lovely lady, Donna Dixon, to ring me back, and sort out the renewal. Donna had such a pleasant and easy going manner which makes life so much easier for an Oldie, that hates using the telephone. Thank you Donna.

I was approaching the end of my commitment with County Broadband. I emailed the renewals team to find out options and got an instant response from Donna Dixon detailing 4 options - all seemed good to me. I opted to pay a little more to upgrade to the 600Mb/s service. Very quickly Donna completed the renewal and upgrade for me - looking forward to another year to reliable, fast internet. I made an enquiry by email asking for clarification about the timing of the renewal of my contract. A swift reply from Donna Dixon answered my query perfectly, but she also offered to carry out the renewal for me. I replied asking her to do that, which she did the same day. This is exemplary customer service: so refreshing to encounter as it's far from the norm with larger corporations these days!

A quick and positive response to my important enquiry for confirmation of acceptance of my renewal.
Very helpful, knowledgable, understanding and explanations of the choice of contracts being offered, and a special generous tailored one which I accepted.Finally wonderful customer service help by Donn with completing my acceptance form. I now feel relieved, confident and content that I will look forward to enjoying the next period of my new renewal period.

Having myself just come from an industry that relies upon ISPs for help from time to time I'm well accustomed to "brush off" support from the big players, and being bounced from one desk to another
With County Broadband the support is at another level altogether. There was no fault as such but I wanted to make a non-standard change which I couldn't get to work. Within 30 minutes I had Leon on the phone who was knowledgeable and patient staying on the line, working through the problem methodically to reach a resolution.
I couldn't have asked for someone to do more.
So it's Kudos to County Broadband from a happy customer.

I would award you 0. I think the way we have been treated is disgusting. We have been with you for years. Now we have a problem with the Internet we are told if you come out we're be charge £60. We are paying £41 a month. Yes you have offered to send out a new rota. So hopefully that will sort the issue.

Thanks to Donna Dixon for making our County Broadband fibre renewal so smooth. We were very pleased to be able to increase our speed for a very reasonable amount on a two year contract. Excellent communications throughout the process and dealt with quickly.

Clear and concise instructions on how to replace a router that was faulty.
