Be very careful and check your bill at the end if you are paying by card. Yesterday they included the service on my bill but when I went to pay with a card it suddenly added the service on my bill again, so it shot up from just over £74 to just over £82! Luckily I noticed and questioned it, I was told it was if I wanted to leave a tip. when I pointed out that the service had already been added to my bill, she deducted it (with no apology or explanation). It left a nasty taste in my mouth – pun intended. I wonder how many tourists are ripped off in this way by this restaurant, serving very average food by sullen staff. The only thing it has going for it is the stunning setting.

Don’t go there would be my advise! Yes the settings are beautiful, of that there is no doubt! As for the service and the food, appalling! It was a group booking for a certain time, days previously back and forth with emails, two courses chosen for everyone, list sent to Coppa as requested.
In a nutshell, we arrived, waited to be seated, made sure they knew our booking, I had copy of ALL paperwork!
No water on table, no greeting, no one came, staff were elusive and miserable, hailed a person to get water, again for drinks menu, again for drinks! 45mins later called for manager! I could go on and on but basically food eventually came, with things that were on list to be removed, knives that couldn’t go through steak, taken for sharpening and so on! So an occasion thoroughly spoiled for 14 people who will NOT venture there again and will pass on their experience to their friends! What a waste and such a shame when many businesses are folding at the moment that no one seems to want to try and rescue this one! Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Coppa Club. The aubergine bake I ordered was terribly undercooked, and I had to discreetly remove large, unappetizing mouthfuls into my serviette. Not only was the food bland, but my partner's steak was undercooked as well, and even the fries were cold. The shocker came when the bill arrived – I couldn't believe how much we were charged for such subpar food.

To add insult to injury, I ordered a cocktail priced at £11, but it was utterly devoid of any discernible alcohol taste. Despite informing them that we were celebrating a significant birthday, Coppa Club failed to provide even a small gesture or token of acknowledgment. It's disheartening to think that a £120 expenditure on food and drinks could lead to such a lackluster experience. I definitely won't be returning to Coppa Club anytime soon.

Following a previous negative experience I was delighted to have had a really enjoyable supper with friends at Coppa Streatley. The location couldn’t be more stunning! The food, drinks and service was good. A special mention for our waiter Greg who was most helpful and accommodating towards one of my guests with various dietary requirements. All in all, a v special evening. Thanks. I will be back!!

AVOID. We should have known when we first went in not to bother-the staff were rude! Then our server was so moody we had to ask her to repeat everything she said because she spoke so quiet and dull-clearly not happy in her work! Placed our order, waited ages for it to come, my sons burger was a joke!!! The biggest bread roll and a plain fry tiny burger that nearly broke his teeth, referred to server to look at it and she said she’d be back in a minute-a portion of fries were missed off the order, the server didn’t appear until she brought the bill, still charged for the burger and the missing fries, corrected the fries and didn’t take the burger off, said it was eaten, ermmm no it wasn’t !!!! Instead of paying on my card I paid cash, I deducted the price of the burger and didn’t leave the discretionary tip she requested of £12. The toilets were filthy !!!

Really disappointed. This is our 2nd visit, but it will be our last. We liked the whole ambience of the Igloos when we 1st came a few years ago. This time we planned a trip with family and thought it would be nice to show them the Coppa Club, so we booked well in advance to get another Igloo. The food was 'okay'. Tasty but nothing special. Considering how hard it can be to book and the cost, you'd expect a little more' wow'. The worst thing was it was filthy. Gaps in the wood table top were full of old food that had been there for weeks/months, and there was food all over the floor. It was really offputting. We covered the table with paper menus so we weren't staring at mouldy food during our food. Then there was the SLOW service. It was soooooo slow at every point that by the time dessert came around, we were past it and just decided to leave. It wasn't busy, and the inside was practically empty, so I couldn't see why it was so slow. We also ordered a round of drinks that never materialised. We won't go again, which is a shame as it's in a lovely setting.

Appalling service! Waited 25 mins for our drinks. 2 of the wines we wanted were not available! How can a restaurant run out of its house wine?! And the attitude of the staff was less than welcoming!

Lovely area to sit and have drink but wouldn’t recommend the food. Went for breakfast and had the poached eggs had to send them back as were more like a boiled egg disappointed. Wanted to sit in one of the igloos were told all fully booked yet lots of them empty whole duration.

Very disappointed by our waiter’s attitude at Coppa Club, Putney. His attitude was cold and sour and he couldn’t refrain from having a smoke less than 10m away from the people he was serving. Despite this, the food was great.

Booked a lunchtime table for five celebrating our 50th Birthdays. Arrived at 1.00pm food and drink order taken after 30mins of being there. First drink arrived at 2.00pm. The food order (which was taken on an iPad ) crashed. Order taken again by pen and paper. Manager was very apologetic and as we had waited so long the first round of drinks, they were on the house. Food eventually arrived it was very average. And unfortunately the dessert of crème brûlée was either completely runny or the other scrambled egg. Yet again both items removed from the bill. On the plus side the pear and ginger margaritas were delicious.

If I could give a lower score, then I would. If you want a better experience of this establishment, stand on the bridge and throw your money into the Thames. You will also note that the management never reply to the good or poor reviews. I have never come across a venue like this before, it simply never fails to disappoint by poor management, leadership and execution. The teams in any establishment are only as good as the leadership and clearly there is no leadership here. We returned after complaining and was given a £50 voucher to spend, however the management never explained to his restaurant team we were returning so they knew nothing. The service was worse than before, no wine arrived, starters and main courses turned up at the table at the same time. They took the mains back to the kitchen, but clearly never kept them warm, but proceeded to serve them to us. The mains were Luke warm at best, but the vegetables were stone cold. We made a complaint to the waiting staff who in turn got the duty manager and whilst he was speaking to us, hey presto, the wine arrived of which we sent back. The manger said he would wipe the bill and send us vouchers again (not arrived) but unsure if we’d ever chance a third time, because they had two chances to impress but failed miserably on each occasion. As we were getting ready to leave they tried delivering the wine again, unbelievable. As we walked through the restaurant we heard other tables complaining. Please do not waste your money, time and effort to visit this establishment, there are plenty of other less expensive establishments that provide better service and value for money. I’m certain that Hugh Osmond would not be happy if he was in touch with his teams and understand what’s actually happening within his company.

Bitterly disappointed. Went for a special occasion my husbands 60th Birthday brunch.We phoned and emailed ahead to say that we may be slightly late due to road closures. We arrived and were put at a table and asked then if it was possible to relocate to one nearer the riverside .as there wer only 2 x couples on the lower veranda and plenty of spaces upstairs too. This was declined and we were advised that there were 120 people arriving in the next 20 mins . Chastised we sat. Another couple came in were shown to seats changed their mind and asked to sit on the lower veranda and were accommodated immediately.
Our order for drinks was taken and then not recieved until the end of the meal,when they arrived they were luke warm .One order did not arrive even though it was asked for twice and condiments despite the request never materialised.
Some of the wait staff are fabulous but unfortunately ours was not and treated us with contempt.
This ruined the start of the day. I would not recommend or go back and will tell friends and family to avoid disappointment.
Despite contacting the Coppa club for a reply I am still waiting .

We went to Coppa Club Cobham on a Thursday night for my sons birthday. The food was shocking all the ingredients seemed out of date. The carrots were black, the donuts hard. Service was terrible. I used to love this place but its gone down hill. We will not be going back in a rush. I wish I had looked at previous reviews before booking it as loads of problem reviews.

We went out for a celebratory dinner and had a really terrible experience at Coppa Cobham. Our steaks were completely raw, the salt & pepper squid was tough and the service was rash and patronizing. We definitely won’t spend our money there again!!

Heard much about Coppa and thought give it a go to see for myself. Went to Coppa Reading (actually in Sonning) and not a great experience. Setting is great, venue very nice, staff on a saturday filled with ‘saturday workers’ or seemed that way. Had the 10oz Rib steak and reckon 4oz was fat and another 2 was bone. No way worth £34. Wife and I shared some sort of dough/cinnamon ball thing ! Well cardboard would have been tastier, and the so called sauces that went with it had some flavour but were so watery you could hardly say what they were. May go back for a drink but would not return for food. Go to a chippy !

Putney Coppa
Shared pudding platter - do not waste your money on this pudding as it is awful. 5 pieces of pineapple, very small bit of cake, small bit of ice cream and creme brûlée. Not worth the money!!!!!!!!!

Everything went wrong this evening at Coppa club cobham as follows;

My wife’s aubergine was hard (uncooked)

My wife’s mains was missing the puffed rice (a crucial part of her meal)!

I ordered a main carbonara and was given a starter version.

The waitress chipped a glass when pouring the water and didn’t change the glass

We were asked whether we wanted desserts and coffee when people at our table were in the toilet.

We were asked whether we wanted the bill when we’d just finished. We were only there an hour by that time.

I ordered a glass of wine and was brought a bottle!

Not much attention given. Most staff are young and very inexperienced for the high prices charged! Disgraceful!

I see that it follows by many similar complaints on Coppa Club. I visited Coppa Club Tower Bridge, only to experience racism and hate. Awful experience, they literally attacked us, we have video footage - at some point there were about 6/7 members of staff around us, all because we forgot to pay the bill on the way out. Raised a complaint, and they Head of People seems to support their staff with such, and that’s why this is now a police matter!

The worst restaurant ever!

The Maidenhead staff are Racist! that’s the only conclusion I can come to.

The manager is also of a mentality that he’s so important he can talk to you like a child in front of other customers, while blaming for his staff’s incompetence to remember a basic order.

His Arrogance was not unnoticed! By a outer customer also, waiters who feel it’s ok to gossip! about you if you make a complaint about their mistakes and general overall attitude! Of one in particular she never smiles and acts as though you’re not worthy to be in her presence.

We spend a lot of money in this establishment for sub standard food and service ! I have now had fo make a offical
Complaint after months of biting my tongue due to the hostile behaviour and racist undertone . Appalling when given my friend and client has a food allergy! Which is nuts, and they did not care! Instead we were told we are being difficult Wow!

So if he dies that’s ok then just to not inconvenience the staff. Over priced and awful ! Balan’s is by far superior to this average over priced restaurant! shame there isn’t one in Maidenhead. Honestly ! I’m not even trying to make this up!

Rude staff!
I went here for a meal last night with my boyfriend and was very disappointed when my food arrived wrong, my boyfriend had finished his dinner by the time my food came out. This is not what you want when you go out for dinner. I found the staff very rude and non apologetic and will prevent me from coming back again. I do not expect poor customer service when you are going out for a meal.
I appreciate accidents happen but when they aren’t sorry and takes half an hour to fix this it is not acceptable.
