My go-to company for European Breakdown Cover. Great policy at a competitive price despite my 13 year old car! Can't comment on breakdown service as luckily never needed to use it.

Just called Green Flag again 40min wait no sign of my trailer…
Just called Green Flag again 40min wait for call back. Trailer not delivered home by Egerton's Recovery14 days now. Long wait on phone told it is flagged as urgent but nothing can now happen until Monday. I will have to call again, someone different ,repeat story etc. I think it is now time to engage a solicitor to proceed for me. The agreements between the customer and Green Flag are not worth anything and the contract between them and Egerton's is a joke. But none of this helps the customer.

Incorrect information
The experience was OK. The one gripe is that when looking at the information of some of the sites coverage, they show the coverage, but do not tell you that most are charged as extra,s. They should have put the word from on the front of Web page.

The link from the MoneySaving Expert website was clearly indicating a discount, which was on the first page of the CBC website immediately applied. Everything else was exactly as per the host Eversure website, with FAQs answering my questions

No way to cancel auto-renewal - beware!
I took out a European policy. Fortunately never need o use them. Given the poor reviews I wanted to shop around this year but they auto-renewed my policy 10 days early. I never agreed to auto-renewal - I always decline if given the option. There is no way to opt out. There is no web site to manage the account. They hide behind an online form and there is no other way to contact them. The only short term option is to cancel your card. I will making a complaint to the financial ombudsman.

Automatic renewal is agreed at the point of purchase, and details of this are included within the policy documentation. Customers can contact us at any time before renewal if they would prefer automatic renewal to be switched off.
In addition, a renewal invitation is sent approximately 21 days before the renewal date, advising customers to contact us should they no longer require cover or wish to make changes to their policy.
As we didn't receive any instructions to cancel or make changes, the policy renewed automatically in line with the policy terms.
We can confirm that a member of our team responded to your enquiry received yesterday, and we believe this matter has now been resolved.

Broke down, phoned CBC, after about 2 hrs they phoned me to say they couldn’t find a recovery company and said I should arrange it myself.
First company GRS Breakdown where able to recover me, CBC can’t have been trying that hard.
What is the point of breakdown insurance if they leave you stranded and tell you to do it yourself.
Luckily I was in a safe place ant the weather was fine
I contacted CBC via their website, obviously they don’t read the comments
Still waiting for a formal response

I took out two different policies
I took out two different policies, one for me and my car and one for my wife and her car. It was cheaper! Go figure. They are great policies so no complaints.

Web site seems easy to use except that I wanted a short term one trip policy for a 19 year old car and it turned out to be annual but the price was still good so OK I supose.
Do check the reviews for the various companies offered.
