I ordered Monsoon Malabar Coffee
I ordered Monsoon Malabar Coffee! It seemed strange to me that when you buy 227 grams for £13 and then see that 2.5 kg costs £53! And I immediately thought it was a good deal! That's the problem! Before, when I bought something on the Internet, I looked at the site very carefully and checked everything! But here, because such an amount for coffee is very small, I lost my vigilance!
This company does not have a customer service phone number and the chat that is there is fiction! Yes, they write that this is for the purpose of saving! Strange!
I bought this coffee 500 grams for £4 in the store!!!!! Do you understand £4!!!! I brewed coffee and it is exactly the same as what I had from old stocks for £11.90 250 grams!
I suspect that the company buys this coffee in stores (I don't want to say which store, but in England everyone knows this) and packages it somewhere at home and puts its own stamp!
I have the order number, don't bother and decide what I don't want! I'm returning it!
stopped using coffee direct
I have been buying coffee from Coffee Direct for several years, but recently stopped. The coffee tastes OK (not exceptional) but i recently realised it costs significantly more than buying small 250 gm coffee bags in standard stores such as Waitrose (and that is buying large 900gm bags). If anything I preferred the store bought coffee. Shame, as originally i thought they had some unique tastes and products. But now not worth the premium.
Hopeless company
Ordered 2 large bags of Russian Earl Grey from Tea- Direct who now seem to be Coffee- Direct. Took 1st bag to France - turns out to be a not very good version of Lapsang. We still have 2nd bag unopened in UK. Cost a lot of money - no care taken.
Great coffee and great service
I was looking for a strong flavoured decaf coffee bean and decided to try the Swiss water decaf beans from Coffee direct as we had tried other decaf beans from other providers but these are the best tasting decaf beans we’ve ever had.
We have a regular subscription now to make sure we have a good stock in.
We did have an issue with delivery courier some months ago but after getting in contact, Miles sorted our issue.
Not much more to say other than great coffee and great customer service, would most definitely recommend.

I just received my first order which included their BRAZIL IPANEMA COFFEE. It's very tasty, if the others are this good then I will definitely be ordering again!

Have been buying coffee there for several years, always great quality and delivery.
5 star customer service too. I have recently ordered a wrong coffee (my mistake!), contacted the customer service and was sent the one I wanted originally free of charge. It is so nice to feel being a valued customer and buy from the company that actually cares.

Spent 40 quid on two bags... In the bin
Spent 40 quid on two bags off nice sounding coffee and binned them both. Worst products I have ever tasted. Ive had supermarket beans tasting better than these. Stay away and use a small independent roaster if you like coffee.
Get a new delivery service
Prices have gone up considerably in the last few months. But that’s not really my beef given inflation is high. It’s the continuing reliance on the ailing Royal postal service. Often late. Strikes at the moment create further uncertainty. Please drop the postal service and use a courier service. I think the cost of a courier is about the same as what I pay you to deliver via Royal Post.

I bought some coffee in Waitrose and it was good so thought I’d subscribe directly. Soooo expensive and that’s with a discount. Took 10 days to come too, in this day and age. Can’t say anything good tbh. Coffee wasn’t good either so all in all a massive waste of money. This company needs a rethink as not one thing worked well. Shame, as a subscription service for coffee could be great if cost, delivery and taste are worth it. I did email them and they said I could send it back and get a refund but I didn’t want to pay the postage so didn’t. No apology either for delayed delivery. Back to the shops I go.
An expensive mistake
I normally get my Sidamo coffee from Sainsbury's. it's very good, but they only do ground, no beans. A naive soul, I thought the fact that buying from Coffee Direct was between 2.5 and 4 times the price, depending on quantity and discounts, surely meant the quality would be appreciably better. Sadly not. It's good, but not better.
The real problem is that the hardness of some of the beans is beyond the capabilities of my burr grinder, something I've never encountered before. The burrs would jam completely, putting the motor under stress. I'd dismantle the machine, dump the beans that were left in it and start again. This happened several times until I gave up, fearing the motor would burn out.
Since I bought £40 worth, I'm going to have to make a generous gift to a friend with a blade grinder.
Service was great, the coffee arrived very quickly, but I'll stick to Sainsbury's in future.
Amazing coffee and brilliant customer service!
The coffee is amazing, good price, I also had made an error on my order, and miles got back to me immediately, and sorted it out. Absolutely amazing customer service, it was my first ever order and they definitely have a life long customer! The blue Sumatra coffee is absolutely stunning! Can’t wait to open our other bag of Guatemala beers soon!

Amazing Jamaican Blue mountain coffee
Truly Amazing coffee. I was looking for real authentic Jamaican blue mountain coffee and stumbled across this company via a google search. Hallelujah, we no longer need to go back to the Caribbean …just to get our favourite coffee. We could not fault the service at all, ordered 1 night, the coffee was roasted next day sent that same day and arrived day after. You could not ask for better service or fresher coffee!
We just had a weekend of drinking the best coffee in years, the pandemic stopped us from heading to warmer to climates of Caribbean to stock up and now thanks to coffee direct we don’t need to.
The coffee was truly authentic and perfect and the thought that went into the bag to keep it fresh was genius. We are looking forward to next weekend already.
Highly recommended, they nailed this purchase so we are delighted.
Poor labeling, poor coffee
Store packaging does not state anywhere state on it that it is ground coffee rather than beans, which is not okay. Coffee itself was poor to round out the bad experience.
Good Product, Bad Service.
I have completed 2 orders for various syrups. Upon ordering 4 bottles we received confirmation and then a day later received a refund as they didn't have one of them in stock.
2nd Order was for 3 seperate syrups and other items which I paid for delivery only for them to refund half of the order due to them not having it in stock and also the website erroring and never getting our order despite being charged for it. Waited about a week then contacted them to find out it had errored but they did not offer to switch out the syrups they just refunded as they do not know their own stock levels.
A business that's website doesn't update stock levels as well as members of staff not knowing is a pretty bad way of running a business which is why I am now looking elsewhere to order.
A company who also thinks about their community
We recently suffered from flooding in Horwich and coffee supplies direct were on hand to help the community. The staff are wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend this company enough.

So far so good. Taste is subjective but I’ve tried a few online companies and most of the beans I’ve had here have been good quality. Even if they weren’t to my exact tastes.

Really poor quality of coffee-direct
I purchased a premium coffee on a subscription basis (Jamaica Blue Mountain). Very disappointed with the quality of what I was sent. I have had Blue Mountain coffee from other suppliers e.g. Whittard & others. Coffee Direct quality is not what I was expecting so I will cancel my subscription, and if this is indicative of the company I will not purchase from them again.
