Coastal Windows recently replaced 22 windows in our Victorian gate house in Somerset with upvc double glazing with acoustic glass and this made a significant improvement to the sound and thermal insulation in our home. Previously there had been 150 year old metal framed windows and these were skilfully removed and the new windows fitted within the existing mullions and the secondary glazing. This work was efficiently carried out by an excellent team of skilled workers from Coastal Windows. Jack, Dan & Anthony at all stages of this process went to great efforts to minimise the intrusion and at the end of every day tidied up and scrupulously removed all debris. I can without hesitation recommend this ace team of installers to carry out a really professional installation. The completed work was impressive and skilfully fitted to the existing windows.

The second time we have used coastal windows simply because they were so good the first time. Professional, polite and tremendous service. I would highly recommend.

Coastal windows are a fantastic company polite on time gave us all the time we needed to make are decision on want to have done no harassment gave us as much time as we needed not like other companies who harassed us daily to make a decision .The two guys they sent were so good polite even though it was raining and very cold they did a fantastic job

Just had all new windows a front door and the most amazing bifold door fitted by Simon and Callum , they worked super hard , really pleased, an all round great experience with coastal.

Alex and George fitted a new kitchen for us. Very professional and courteous. Kitchen is of a very high standard and matched by their craftsmanship. Overall an excellent job by the team all round

The actual process of construction despite some issues was reasonably good. Builders and fitters were both tidy and considerate.

The process of selling was straightforward but when we asked about planning permission we were told it wasn't needed. This proved not to be the case. A £2000 deposit locked us into the process but then issues started.
The surveyor who came round seemed more interested in snooping around our house than actually surveying the area where the extension was to be built. He was both patronising to my wife and made her uncomfortable in her own home. Fortunately for him I was not present as she found that experience traumatic - which then revealed that we DID need planning permission. The salesman's original estimate that the extension would be completed by May was at best optimistic.

At this time my wife was contacted by Head Office to ask us for feedback on "our experience" which we could not give - it being mid-summer by now because construction hadn't been started. The various wings of the company did not seem to know what each were doing. Eventually Charlie from the office came round to talk about an estimated start - this was to be November after planning permission was given in September. Our patience had run out however and an October start agreed. The original plan seemed fine and we waited for the 2-3 week construction process to start.

Day one revealed a manhole underneath the original plan which we were unaware of. The builders were adaptable as was Charlie in producing an adjusted plan to allow access to that manhole. The new manhole and soakaway pipe were installed and Lewis the builder did a good job - the lawn is starting to recover now.

I have to say that the additional bill for this was annoying but needs must we felt - I could have done without the office's intervention that seemed to be putting the blame on that squarely on us - no doubt pressuring us to stick to the payment schedule. This we have done but the office's comments at best were unhelpful.

Fitting went fine (sorry did not know the fitters names) and Charlie inspected the works which seem to confirm that the finished article is of a quality standard. I will be following and passing on any guarantee details as and when.

The mending of a dislodged drain pipe I look forward to. This sounds like a mixed review - the process was fine but the time it took to complete was too long. I also think some more joined up thinking would be of benefit to future clients.

We have had our conservatory 9 months now and very pleased but the doors are not shutting properly (need to lift then to shut ), one phone call in the morning engineer was here in the afternoon, service engineer Pete sorted the problem in minutes, what service

left each day saying what time they would arrive the next.

Called coastal window yesterday about a jamming lock, coastal came out the next day Sorted the problem out.

We had all our windows and back door replaced. Simon and Tyler did a great job and cleared up any mess. They were careful to keep the house clean despite doing the work in torrential rain. Simon spotted a scratch on a small window in the spare bedroom and ordered a replacement. Service engineer Pete replaced the window and fixed one of the key locks that was faulty. Very happy

We recently had a kitchen by coastal kitchens the overall quality of some of the kitchen was good but I don't like the you have 48 hours to let them know about problems we had a scratched hob and sink they did send a scratch expert to sort it out but he could not remove the scratches completely they are a friendly company but do ring to often overall not bad and pretty good prices

We had new gutters and down pipes fitted a few years ago and now they are all falling apart We would never use them again

We had two windows and French Doors fitted yesterday, fitters did an amazing job, cleaned up after woulds and were very helpful with any questions I had.
Product is top quality too, well happy 😃

Constant cold calls from an elderly man with a strong devon accent. Keeps telling me there's a sale on at Coastal Windows and won't stop calling. No matter how many times I ask him to remove my details from the marketing list, he won't listen. If I wanted new windows I would use a price comparison website with trusted reviews. I thought the days of sharks cold calling were over. Clearly not.
