Club100 awful behaviour
That’s my awful experience with Club100.
In January 2022 I made a card payment £50 to Club100, the payment was asked as a confirmation of subscription to the championship 2022. After one month, I have been notified by the bank that thay charged me a deposit of £140 without asking any permission. I wrote them an email saying that I didn't agree about the fact that they taking money from my bank account without my permit, or at least a call to ask the authorisation. I have been answered that their system is not made to advice people before taking any payment. Also, I reported that I wasn't adviced in the first telephone contact that they eventually store my debit card data, included the 3 digit code from the back of the card.
In january another payment of £99 has been taken in the same way, and today. the 10/03/2022, another payment of £268 went through, still without been adviced. This amount suppose to be due, for the first race of the season, but the actual cost displayied in their website is £225. They invented another excuse to justify this amount. So, at this point I asked to be cancelled from the competition, and be refunded of the £268, which I have been charged. I also asked the manager phone number to talk with him, but the number was denied, instead, I have been told that he will call me on Monday (14/03). Untill today, (22/03)I haven’t received any call, but I received a further refund of £98, I guess, for the cancelled training day. They retained the £50 of the championship fee, and £140 which is the depoait for the 7 races. Their way to manage my money is awful, together with the way they answering by email, without any form of politeness. To be fair, I advised Trade standard as well, because I believe no business can retain the debit card data without the explicit consent of the customer.
