I rented a property managed by CJ Hole Hucclecote for around three years and the experience caused me and my family constant stress.
My mould complaint remained open for 357 days, while my children and I continued living in the property. During this time, I was taken to hospital by ambulance twice with chest infections. The paramedics saw the mould and told me that the mould could be the cause of my chest infections. An inspection also confirmed the mould and that repairs were required, yet the case was later closed as resolved even though the problem had not been properly repaired.
I also repeatedly reported a dangerous tree for over 400 days. Nothing was done until it eventually fell and damaged the fences of two neighbouring properties. Thankfully, nobody was hurt.
The shed roof failed twice, including after supposedly being repaired, damaging over £800 worth of my belongings. Instead of taking responsibility, I was blamed and told that I must have jumped on the roof.
They regularly inspected the property, saw problems themselves and told me to report them, but little was done afterwards. Whenever I made formal complaints, I felt questioned and judged for complaining rather than having the issues addressed. Despite always paying my rent on time, sometimes even in advance, I was eventually served notice after repeatedly raising concerns about the condition of the property.
When I moved out, I left the house in excellent condition, paid from my own pocket to repaint it and hired professional cleaners. Despite this, they attempted to make deductions from my deposit, including a claim that an approximately 10-year-old hallway carpet smelled of urine, which I strongly disputed. I had no pets. I challenged the deductions through the deposit protection process and recovered my deposit.
357 days with a mould complaint and over 400 days after reporting a dangerous tree is unacceptable. After three years of unresolved problems and unnecessary stress, I would never rent through CJ Hole Hucclecote again!!

I used CJ Hole to sell my grade 2 listed property, Tim was super helpful throughout and I felt he really looked after my best interests with the property. It wasn’t a simple property to sell but the team were knowledgeable and the sale went through without issue. I would use the team again.

We recently sold our house in Hucclecote and Tim and his team were amazing. They kept us informed all the way through the process and they were helpful and cheerful. We would definitely use them again. Rob & Vicky West.

The team came across as really kind and helpful at first.
Unfortunately, they had advertised the property with an appliance that wasn’t actually included( I still have the advertise). On the first day of my tenancy, I asked about it, and the agent admitted the mistake, apologized, and said she’d help me sort it out. But once the manager got involved, things took a turn. She was quite dismissive, saying it wasn’t their problem and that I’d have to deal directly with the landlord.

That was frustrating, especially since it was them who advertised the property, showed it to me, and even confirmed the appliance when I asked. The whole situation left a really unpleasant impression, and honestly, I don’t feel I can trust what they say anymore.

If you’re dealing with them, I’d recommend getting everything confirmed in writing.

Still, I do wish them the best moving forward.

Was nice to get the backing from Ellie regarding a problem we had with the washing machine in the property, as the landlord didn’t want to take any Acton and get it fixed, first letting agents I have been with that helped get it resolved by getting on to the Landlord on more than one occasion,

Very helpful and kept us informed the whole way through the purchases

I would 100% recommend CJ hole hucclecote. As a land lord after having some not great experiences with other agencies, finding them to be like a breath of fresh air. They seamlessly work though any issues. They are friendly and approachable but on the ball, knowing exactly the right processes to do. They give you peace of mind.

Becky, Emma, Tim and everyone else at CJ Hole were really helpful and kept us up to date throughout the house buying process, they also gave us a small moving in pack which was a really nice touch

What a woefully awful letting agents. To say they lack good customer service would imply that they have at least some amount of it- they don’t. They do not care about their tenants or their welfare and will try to penny-pinch wherever they can. Their staff are wholly unprofessional and will take days responding to claims, yet when they have something they need they expect it immediately.

I let from CJ Hole Hucclecote and was disgusted by moving in to a dirty flat with mould in. During the tenancy there were issues that took months to resolve and CJ Hole Hucclecote dragged their heels at every turn. After quite a significant incident, one might expect the basic human and decent thing to do would be to compensate for their failings and lack of care and professionalism. Unfortunately not, CJ Hole bury their heads in the sand and ignore the issues of their tenants. CJ Hole claim that their customers are important to them, I’m still waiting for evidence of this, after all of their wild unprofessionalism, I doubt it exists. I will never use CJ Hole again and I will recommend to any would-be home buyers or renters to stay well away unless you want horrendous customer service and a lack of care.

Professional and friendly staff. As executor of my late mums estate I appreciated the sensitive way the sale was handled.
