I attended an online writing masterclass at City Lit. The weekly meetup was facilitated by Jonathan Barnes and we met across three terms from September 2022 to July 2023 to share 5,000 word extracts from our novels in progress and provide feedback. There was a selection process to be part of the group and all the writers were at a high level. The feedback was amazing and being part of this group not only gave me the accountability to keep writing but made my writing better

The course that I have taken this year ( German and Italian ) have both been excellent. I appreciate the help I had with problems I had with trying to log on. Everything was a real problem for me but it was quickly solved for me by the technology department. I did find it very difficult to enrol online but by telephoning there was no problem at all.

City Lit is a safe and welcoming place to learn.
The staff is helpful on site, especially the IT support team who makes the sign in and set up process smooth on the first lesson. I really appreciate that as I'm not a confident computer user.
As for the tutors, they are understanding and supportive. They have a sound experience in their field but they show us that it doesn't matter to make mistakes as we learn. We just need to retrace our steps and do it again.
I also like that they are inclusive and remind us to be kind and respectful when we communicate during lesson.
Lastly, I think it's great that the tutors give us some ideas of what to study next.

A few months ago, on a whim, I decided to embrace a new adventure and embark on a weekly yoga class. Struggling with Restless Leg Syndrome for years, I was amazed to discover that regular yoga practice has brought about a more restful and uninterrupted sleep. I awake each morning with a sense of renewal, ready to take on the day's adventures.

The guidance and wisdom of our experienced instructor have been instrumental in my journey. Her patient demeanor and attentive approach to each participant's needs create an atmosphere of trust and support. She seamlessly adapts the class to accommodate various skill levels, ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy the experience.

What I appreciate most about yoga is its inclusivity. It doesn't matter your age, fitness level, or background. The practice meets you where you are and gently guides you towards your goals, whatever they may be. Whether you seek physical improvement, mental tranquility, or spiritual growth, yoga offers a path for everyone to follow.

In conclusion, attending a weekly yoga class has been a life-changing experience for me. The physical benefits, mental clarity, improved sleep, and the sense of belonging to a supportive community have enriched my life immeasurably. The technicians are amazing, provide guidance and freedom to learn in a short capacity of time, all the courses I've done have been fantastic.

The college has supported our class by providing ways to nurture it and by allowing it to grow and continue, so that we are still here today.
Our teacher is very experienced and dedicated. She has taught us skills that not only improve our language learning but help us in life.
No doubt we have made friends here that we will remember for life.

Excellent violin classes, skilful and engaging tutor, great surroundings, very enjoyable learning in a group - highly recommend.

As I find it very difficult to book courses online I prefer to speak to someone on the telephone. I can honestly say that your staff have always been very helpful, patient and helpful

I have been doing French online with city lit for the last two years, having not studied it since I did my o levels in 1968! There is an excellent range of classes at different levels to choose from; my tutor has been brilliant! The classes are friendly and well run and my french has improved enormously. I’m now faced with making decisions about classes for this coming academic year - spoilt for choice!

Tutor Tony absolutely brilliant, nice manner, patient, understanding, first class teaching and online backup scores, videos etc. extremely helpful. Definitely bought my guitart playing & confidence along a great deal.

when learning mandarin from scratch you need a great teacher and that's what i have at citylit.

A fabulous teacher who is both knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It's a very challenging course but the sense of achievement and surprise ( Of the distance covered from the beginning to the end) is worth it.
