As someone who is not overly religious at all, I can appreciate the art and beauty behind the churches, monasteries, etc., in the United Kingdom.Sadly, a lot of these have fallen into disrepair for no other reason than lack of care from those who "run" the funds that are allocated to these churches.Now the Church of England wants to give away £100 million pounds for some bizarre guilt trip that they didn't really have anything to do with, but they want to give close to a billion. Let's remember this is an organisation that pleads poverty.Rather than fixing a space that everyone can come and appreciate, they are going to let these buildings, some of which have been here since before the Vikings, rot.They aren't going to fix them; instead, it's down to Betty to sell cake and tea to try and raise funds to fix the church roof.This act is not very Christian at all infact id go and say its very anti Christian. It's being done for the wrong reasons, all thanks to Sarah Mullally, who would rather give these funds away to try to make herself feel better for some bizarre reason rather than protecting the history and heritage of an organization that she is privileged to be a part of. She is an utter embarrassment.

Many religions today have drifted far from God’s standards and moral grounding. The Bible is God’s Word — perfect, complete, and unchanging — so who are we, as humans, to decide which parts to accept and which to ignore? False religion forms part of Babylon the Great, as described in Scripture. We can recognise what is true, and who has God’s approval, by reading His Word and comparing its teachings. As Jesus said, “By their fruits you will recognise them.” Just as a good tree produces fine fruit, a bad tree produces bad fruit.

True Christians do not involve themselves in political disputes or align with any government or party. They remain neutral, obeying the laws of the land (Romans 13:1), but place their full trust in God’s Kingdom as the only real hope for humanity.

Would a true Christian bend and yield to what is popular and mainstream, or would they have integrity and align their lives with God’s Word? The answer is clear.

The Scriptures reveal everything we need to know about the true God, His Son, and the opposer who controls this world — Satan. As 1 John 5:19 reminds us: “We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.”

This verse explains much about the times we live in. The world truly is in the hands of the opposer. Satan blinds the minds of unbelievers and leads people astray — to the point that many reject God’s Word and abandon His standards.

Horrible, nasty treatment of the deceased and bereaved.

These people have the nerve to call themselves 'christian'. They are just another corporatised entity. Grave desecration, without a thought for the grieving relatives, justifying it on the premise of 'health and safety' yet not being able to provide any proof of any injuries being caused by a wreath on a grave. Petty rules regarding grave inscription and all with a side order of smarmy insincerity.

These people care not for humanity but for their own ascent up the greasy pole. Disgusted. No wonder churches are empty.

This annoying, colourless little fellow, who used to be a banker, has been wagging his profoundly compromised finger at the nation for far too long.
That the Church of England is a weak, watered-down, emasculated irrelevance is hardly his fault, but he has presided over a great deal that is harmful and destructive, and done nothing whatsoever to halt the decline except agree with the Churches enemies at every opportunity.
We live in an era where to criticise Islam, however justified, however politely, is close to being enshrined in law as ‘Hate Crime’, something that is a travesty in itself, yet it is open season all year round on Christians and Christianity.

At a time when a little muscular Christianity wouldn’t go amiss we have the unedifying sight of a spineless middle manager from the HR department from hell demonstrably, proveably not doing his job, yet refusing to resign.

If Welby continues to represent the Church of England then I fear Christianity is too.
And if you don’t understand this is a baby out with the bath water moment you are fools. It is not merely the religion but the culture and the history you would be throwing away.

A former oil company executive turned Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby presided over blatant religious discrimination aided and abetted by Reverend at St Paul’s Church Cemetery in Wokingham, Berkshire from our own experience in 2017. We had my beloved mother’s ashes brought over from Sri Lanka as we live in U.K. They were put in a hermetically sealed thick plastic box in a factory and buried in the multi religious section of the cemetery after a mini service by Rev. Richard Lamey who told us we were allowed to place a small ledger stone over it. Unfortunately, its inscriptions ending in “May she attain Nibbana” was offensive enough to deny us ! Appeals made to Bishop of Berkshire and Oxfordshire and Justin Welby himself were to no avail! He is a hypocrite, should be ashamed of himself and kicked out !

A Church of England bishop has called on the Archbishop of Canterbury to resign, calling his position "untenable" after a damning report into a prolific child abuser associated with the Church.

Bishop of Newcastle Helen-Ann Hartley is the most senior member of the Church to call on the Most Reverend Justin Welby to stand down, following the "horrific, horrendous and shocking" report.

Mr Welby is facing mounting pressure to resign after it emerged last week that he did not follow up rigorously enough on reports of John Smyth QC's "abhorrent" abuse of more than 100 boys and young men.

A review of the Church’s handling of Smyth’s case said the archbishop "could and should" have reported the case to authorities when details were presented to him in 2013.

The Makin review into Smyth's case said he might have been brought to justice for decades of abuse before his death, in 2018, had he been formally reported to the police in 2013.

Smyth is believed to be the most prolific serial abuser to be associated with the Church of England, having subjected as many as 130 victims to traumatic physical, sexual, psychological and spiritual attacks.

Smyth's abuse took place over almost five decades and across three countries, according to the report. He targeted boys who attended summer camps he ran for young Christians.

The report says that from July 2013, the Church of England knew "at the highest level" about Smyth's abuse in the UK and should have "properly and effectively" reported him to the UK police and the relevant authorities in South Africa.

They have gone against the word of the Lord by blessing same sex marriages. If you beleave in the Bible and the whole truth avoid this Church.

The CofE is an unsafe church.
Safeguarding is at an all time low and victims are being treated shamefully.
The church has just sacked 2 independent safeguarding experts because they wanted to help victims of abuse.
If you or someone close to you gets abused in the church you will get no help or care ; and if the abuse traumatises you then your life is over.

For Radio 3 Choral Evensong on 5 July we had to listen to a service from Lincoln Cathedral. The music by Byrd, formerly organist there in the 16th century - fine.
The current clergy, not so much. Endless politically correct prayers, and digs at the government. Lincoln cathedral was once notorious for chaos amongst the Chapter, maybe it's time for a new broom again.

Copy of email sent to St John’s the Baptist clergy on 23/09/2019; to which I got no reply:
« It is with the greatest of regrets that I have come to the decision of taking a break, long or short, from the work I’ve come to love at St Johns.
I need a couple of weeks at least away from the church, so I can rest my mind.
I fear that contact with the place is detrimental to me, and is slowly but surely driving me into a very deep depression.
I enter the place with a positive and prayerful attitude; but often leave the premises an uncontrollable blubbering mess, with very dark sinister thoughts which I cannot recognise as my own.
I have recently encountered another opaque dark shadow, on Sunday about 3pm: walking or and sliding diagonally across 6 rows of pews inside the main church.
I am not sure it wanted anything wrong with me: it just did not feel right or benevolent.
Every time this type of event occurs, my heart feels like it’s been tightly squashed by somebody’s fist, and my whole body feels like it’s undergone an electric shock. I just end up crying, and feeling hopelessly lost.
I am very very sad about this; as I never felt a church as a hostile place before. They have always been a refuge or haven for me, throughout my life.
I am very sorry if I am disappointing you, and I hope you find suitable replacement : if only for a short or medium time, or for longer.
I need to rest my mind, away from this turmoil.
I found myself last night just wanting to end it all, in order to put an end this sadness. And for the life of me, I do not know why. My life is not brilliant, but it’s fine. I look forward to things in the morning, I have projects, I have beauty and creativity around me. A few things are looking up, also, in various areas of my life.
But I cannot help the emotions attached to this church anymore, and I’m virtually helpless. And on my very own to cope with this pool of stress.
This was a very progressive affair, with various phenomenons, including intimidating presences, and one large shadow seemingly trying to/ jumping from the ground into my womb.
I feel it’s only getting worse, and closer to me somehow.
I am extremely tired, and although I will miss the church, I am literally afraid for my sanity.
I do hope you understand, or at least try to comprehend: without insulting my intelligence, and without implying that I would somehow be the source of those events.
I am trying to find some peace. I cannot make sense of most things, but I do not want to spend time thinking about them, and worrying endlessly.
This is way too big for me: as I’m writing this, my heart is pounding in my chest so hard it actually physically hurts. And I really don’t like the physical shocks those repeated emotions are causing to my system.
I have not talked to anyone else about this, and I don’t intend to.
I trust none of you will make rash decisions, which might affect the way some vulnerable (or some simple minds) may use or understand the above statements.
Please kindly advise treasurers about this: unfortunately I have just recently been put on an automatic payment system, and I’m due some money at the end of the month; but I guess this would have to be adjusted again from now on...
Also, please do not worry overmuch: I will be fine, I think, should I get some rest... Somehow.

Following those unanswered emails, I got hostile and even aggressive comments from the main vicar. The last thing he said to me was : « Off you go! », over and over again.
There isn’t a day when I am not saddened, distressed and angered by those events.

Further to my below comments, I would like to bring to the publics attention 17 Hollow Street, Chislet, CT34DS is still occupied with eight people contrary to enforcement orders numbering 12 over the past 29 years, three high court orders from a circuit judge ordering the site to be cleared, the most recent being a high court judge in 2018. CCC planning enforcement request these orders to clear the site, demolition of dangerous structures and remove several hundred tonnes of rubbish. The above is still in situ with it being run as a boarding house. It has been used as a drug factory, stealing and selling car parts on the internet along with dispersing small quantities of drugs within the community all with the blessing of CCC and the grace of Archbishop of Canterbury. It was brought to his attention and he didn't have the courtesy to reply. Finns and co of wingham high street have since been instructed to carry out site measurement, both plots of land were sold by measurements by the city council and Church of England, they have the deeds so they have the measurements but they still carry on condoning criminality on the site and failed to follow the orders of the Secretary of State and planning inspector to clear the site. These enforcements span since 2004.

A six bedroomed house was build on the site, enforcement was brought against Paul McCleave, it was demolished in 2016 yet they left the rest standing. Finns are preparing a new report which has already been commissioned by Strutt and parker, at Margaret's street Canterbury, I find it difficult to understand why the Church of England have taken no action and pulled down the strictures that are on their land.

All above parties have been supplied with copies of the deeds and contract with the sizes on them.

I like the order of service. I use to attend as a infant & junior when I use to live nearby with my mother (Sunday services under Reverend Christopher Guinness in early 1980's) Overall superb, though I experienced being accused of glue sniffing here. I enjoyed the church arranged; summer camp, family house-swap (with other parish's) and Sunday school.

I am now a 'theist' because of Christianity believing (according to the Bible) that God is a spirit (see John 4:24).

I met God in 1984 via an Angel (in the Angel's shuttle). God and Angel's are extra-terrestrials as I have seen with my own eyes ( I couldn't see it with anyone else's eyes (😆)).

I was allowed to lead at least one mass here at St Stephens church because of this.

I wrote to The church of England reminding them of my account of meeting an Angel, with my intent to finish my account to explain to all that I was taken off of the planet (Earth) for a holiday and met Almighty God) and I also wrote to every MP, the Prime minister, Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II and other religious organisations and church's but nobody returned my correspondence (of mainly emails).

I like the order of service. I use to attend three times a week (Wednesday, Sunday services and Sunday choral evensong) overall superb, though I experienced rudeness here. However the church of England system gave me the opportunity to report the rudeness.

Thoroughly enjoy their services as well as the monarch and Archbishop of Canterbury delivering their speeches.
