I came to Chartwell Funding after an incredibly bad experience with a mortgage broker. From the start, Daniel was professional, clear and pragmatic. Everything made sense, and he had an instant understanding of the type of lender I needed and how different lenders would assess my case. Daniel also had support from Charlie who was exceptional at keeping me updated at the right times. Once I'd got my mortgage, Jordan was brilliant at getting me the right life and income cover for my situation. All friendly people, all very professional and I will be using Chartwell for any future mortgage or insurance needs.

Chartwell Funding contacted me after I made an enquiry about mortgage advice. At the time, I was feeling quite hopeless due to a small adverse credit issue from 2–3 years ago. However, Kane reached out with no judgement at all and immediately began working with us to explore what was realistically possible. We had already found a house we loved, but it felt out of reach as we needed a lender willing to offer slightly more than we expected. On the very same day, Kane identified a suitable lender and helped us submit an offer on the property (mind you, I was all ready with the paperwork!). Within just two days, our offer was accepted, and we proceeded with the mortgage application. Amazingly, we received our mortgage offer within five days. I was truly speechless.

The efficiency, knowledge, and support shown by Kane and his team have been outstanding. From start to finish, the process was straightforward, no judgement, no unnecessary delays, just honest conversations about what could be achieved. Thanks to their help, we are now in the process of buying our dream home.

As a first-time buyer, I’d definitely recommend Tristan Parker and the team at Chartwell!

This was my first time getting a mortgage, and I started speaking with Tristan when my credit file wasn’t in great shape. He gave me really solid advice on how to improve it, explained my options clearly, and kept me informed about key timings where I could see improvements that might help reduce my interest rate.

He arranged a specialist lender for me so I could move quickly, which I really appreciated. The property chain I was in ended up taking longer than expected, but then Tristan got in touch and pointed out that I’d reached a point where my credit file had improved enough to look at mainstream lenders.

I was a bit hesitant to switch, especially since the specialist lender had already accepted me, but Tristan explained there was a chance to get a better rate and lower my monthly payments. I’m really glad I listened—within 3 days I had a mortgage with Barclays, and it saved me around £400 a month.

I was initially looking for bridge finance for my property purchase as I was not sure my case could be handled via traditional mortgages. I case across Chartwell (saw them recommended by HomeOwnersAlliance) and when I spoke to Simon at Chartwell - my thinking was changed completely. He is highly experienced in both traditional and specialised mortgages and bridge financing and never once tried to push for options which are most remunerative for Chartwell.

Simon did not sit on the fence regarding various available options - rather he clearly ADVISED - what I should be doing and shared his experience about what will work best. In the end proof of pudding is in the eating - he was able to arrange standard Mortgage for me at much better terms than I was earlier trying on my own (and far better compared to bridge finance which I was exploring) and all of this within less than 10 working days (one week of this was taken for Valuation - which was physical valuation - if it was a desk valuation, it would have been even faster). Not just on mortgage - but he shared his insights on whole property buying process and my purchase (including mortgage) completed in less than a month. Absolutely stellar role!!!

If anyone is hesitant about exploring Chartwell, I will say this - just speak to Simon once and and you will be convinced that you are at the right place for arranging funding for your property purchase - whether traditional or specialised mortgage.

Both Jordan and Oli were superb. Unfortunately I have a complex medical history and never thought that I would be accepted for critical illness or life insurance. With extensive research and continued chasing, with the help of Jordan and Oli I was able to secure just that. I can’t thank them both enough for their professionalism and support.

From the moment I first engaged with Tristan I felt supported in the process. I first reached out to Tristan a couple years back but then left the country for a while - as soon as I got back and was able too, I got back in touch and we worked through my options and eventually got a mortgage offer secured from a lender that I thought was out of reach!

Josh was fantastic at keeping me updated and I am a very impatient person, so was good work from him.
