What can I say, my experience with CGT has been awesome. I can’t speak for the rest of the team but Dan was so easy going I thought it all seemed to good to be true, I’d highly recommend him if you’re looking for property.

I use CGT for all my properties in Cheltenham, I have found their team that includes Sam, George, Julia, Dan, Georgina, Sarah and others supportive and proactive. During tenancy handovers the void periods have been kept to minimum and all the tenants they have found have been excellent. I have recommended them to my friends and would recommend them to anyone looking to rent or be a landlord in Cheltenham.

We received first class service from start to finish from Quedgeley branch. All staff were consumate professionals and certainly made a very stressful process almost bearable. Special thanks goes to Olivia for her compassion when we were faced with having to find a property quickly due to being let down by our landlord.
Totally recommend if we could give you more than 5 stars we would !!!

Hannah and Olivia have been dealing with an outstanding energy bill on the property I am renting and have kept me informed through out. Nothing I ask is a problem and they are always quick to respond

Gloucester London road branch currently are leaving 2 young girls one of which is my niece without hot water or heating, one is not able bodied due to having had severe surgery less than a month ago!! They have been without either for a week now and are not making adequate effort to fix the situation. No heating for a week in November wouldn’t be acceptable to anyone

cannot rate them bad enough. my rent is £30 less than the 1 bedroom flats in my block. They have the extra room, economy 7 storage heaters, better carpets, according to my neighbour, quite nice. mine is awful, for almost same money. they tried the ol' 'sold as seen' Arthur daley approach.

The manager couldn't organise bins for us. she told tenants to use the commercial bin. the communal areas are dirty, smell of weed, our post is regularly thrown on the floor in spite of us having letterboxes (likely the lazy landlord), we are moaned at for putting washing out of windows and making the place 'look bad. They represent a terrible landlord that just care about their business.

my flat in particular is like the runt of the litter. upstairs shower often leaks, flooding my bathroom and getting behind my electric shower.

they are more interested in defending slum landlords than actually tidying up the building they are so proud of !!

an 'iconic' building where 2 tenants out of 4 are suspected weed smokers. only 1 that we know of has been 'served' a section 8.

now both me and the other professional working tenant have beee invited to leave because we complained about noise, dog faeces smells, poor decor, lack of storage heaters (making heating 3x more expensive, for only £30/month discount)

a total joke ! and they broke GDPR leaking my email address to the weed smoking tenants !

Sam, Gina, Julia and the team worked hard to get me a fab tenant. There was a quick turnaround, but all went smoothly. VERY VERY happy with the service received at CGT Lettings, landlord of 38 Churchill Drive, Charlton Kings.

George was very helpful and knowledgeable. He made the whole process simple and easy.

avoid Gloucester Branch London Road like the plague. Id rather gauge my eyes out with plastic spoons than ever go there for help or a property ever again. Rude staff that are absolutely no help and make you as a tenant feel absolutely worthless. left myself who is pregnant with asthma in a damp house full of black mould, mice and walls practically falling apart for nearly 2 years. also avoid Flatfair waste of time. Im sure this doesn't stand for other CGT branches ive heard lovely things about others but I have never been treated so unfairly by an estate agent ever. My mental health was crushed by the end of it and I am still receiving stupid emails from them demanding information then making out something completely different? Should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you treat your tenants

Olivia from CGT was superb when works I was having done to an empty property over-ran due to contractor illness. She liaised with all parties and went over and above her duties to assist in sorting out the issues that arose from delayed works and a tenant in waiting. Communication was excellent and Olivia professional. Thank you to everyone for your help in what was a fractious time.

Cannot rate CGT high enough!
Sam is extremely professional and non pushy, super lovely and was excellent at keeping in contact through the letting process.
Georgina and Beth equally brilliant maintaining constant contact and keeping me updated throughout.
They found me super tenants I’m very happy.
I’m thrilled I chose CGT and am looking forward to a continuous relationship.

I am a long term Landlord with CGT Quedgeley and have recently had a change of Tenant and some issues with delayed rent payment. The staff in the Quedgeley office (Kerry, Olivia and Hazel) provided an excellent service in helping me deal with these issues.

I have only just moved into my property and have found the staff that i have communicated with to be very helpful

We kept having problems with our landlord and CGT were just not interested would take months to get such a simple thing sorted.

Bad communication between colleagues. I laid down a holding fee and was set a deadline to provide info. 3 weeks before the deadline they stopped my application and kept my holding fee. They refused to refund my holding fee blaming me for their poor customer service and support. They have multiple avenues to contact me before hand but didn’t. Beware their reputation is very poor and I know multiple people who have had issues white this letting agency.

I am still waiting for a reply for my official complaint. Still £103 out of pocket. Use with caution.

I could not agree more with the comments made previously by Dean Angel on 5 Sep 2018. Here is my own feedback!

After 4.5 yrs of tenancy I am in the early stages of what appears to be a fight to get return of my deposit. Their Agent, during checkout inventory, basically made a comment that the property needs to be clean in readiness for new tenant. Having just paid out £250 to a professional company for a full end of tenancy clean (including carpet and oven), I was shocked. When I informed them and sent the invoice, response was Landlord maintains it needs cleaning!!! Basically told me to take my complaint to the TDS (which of course I will). Said that property had to be returned in EXACT same condition, which of course is not true, as have to allow for almost 5 years of FW&T and if I did hand back in same condition, new tenant would be flea-bitten (as I and family were when moved in).
I then had an offer from the cleaning company to return for a free full re-clean to a 'satisfactory' state required by CGT. Their response was that 'this would cause too much work for them', they 'prefer to keep the cleaning 'in house' and turned the offer down, quoting £130 for a SECOND clean!! Interesting that they prefer 'in house'. Even told me that this 'should be a lesson for me the next time round'. What!!??! For last 20 months another Landlord took upon themselves to barricade/blockade rear garden access, which I reported numerous times, and still the Agent nor Landlord have rectified this. Other issues took between 8-10 months from reporting to rectification. Quick enough to take your money, and keep it, but very slow in responding and sorting. Would not recommend to anyone. I was previously with HMT Lettings and had no issues whatsoever.
