Dreadful company ,I can add nothing that others haven’t already written about this hapless company!
I have reported them to my insurance and told them I will not work with carpenters and the reasons why and I wanted it noting with everyone in my insurance companys office
I will mention it every time I renew any policy with any insurance company!
I would never recommend them and my friend who also used them is even more disgusted with their services !
Trouble is they get used by insurance as they must be cheapest and Carpenters have some sort of agreement with all insurance companie!!!
Well let me tell you insurance ,you will lose business from customers for using useless solicitors like these ,you need to shop around and use solicitors who are user friendly competent ,and understand customer service and can treat a client with respect and we the customer get the best outcome for our difficult situations.
This means forget Carpenters.

I’m absolutely devastated. I lost my car in an accident that wasn’t even my fault, and to make things worse, the insurance I’ve been faithfully paying is now working against me instead of helping me. It’s incredibly frustrating to be in this situation—dealing with the stress of losing my car, the financial burden, and the feeling of being completely let down by a system that’s supposed to have my back. Don’T use THEM

Absolutely unbelievable please do not use this these cowboys my car was wrote off with me my wife and daughter all injured car wrote off had physio and had to go to 8/10 philosophy sessions then they came up with an Deluded offer which we felt rushed to agree with then the other person Admit liability we are we all had different handlers and the Portal that you use no one once replied to any of my messages and emails just to be told 2 years on they was shutting the case 😳speechless I couldn’t believe it so today nearly a year after shutting my accident claim they contacted my wife different case handler saying we need your signature to go to court again Flabbergasted so I ring up by the way if you get though your extremely lucky and get told they might have to pass my claim on to the Manager to look again at it The solicitors regulation Authority’s need to be contacted about Carpenters It was only the fact Hastings insurance put me in touch with them now I’ve got my own brief to look into this matter and conduct what needs to be done £600 pound per hour hopefully we can get this place shut down the legal Ombudsman will be involved STAY CLEAR I will update this post if the changes are made correctly and I don’t have to pay out to make a point!

Communication was OK at first,now my claim is in the latter stages you can't get no response,they will not answer my messages,totally ignore you and can never get to speak to my case handler.Absolutely terrible company I will be contacting the legal ombudsman

Don’t even deserve a star. Were put on to this firm by Hastings insurance after a car accident. Third party was at fault. This was Dec 24. I cannot get to speak to anyone on the phone, they don’t answer my emails and we don’t know where we are with this now. I fractured a bone in my neck and had medicals they asked for, as has my partner , who was driving. What do we do now? Getting really annoyed now as we have just asked for an update and not getting it. Would not recommend this firm at all.

Awful company will not answer emails will not answer the phone I was hit by a car when I wasn't even in it all I need is my 500 pounds back that I've had to pay to get my car back they don't need to do anything else this has been going on since the first of may last year this is a joke

Awful company to work with if they are dealing with your case through insurance due to a car accident I would get the company changed. They are unreliable they don’t communicate with their customers. They also lie to their customers. Tell their customers about enforcement and there’s no such thing they say that the pursuing court procedures and they don’t they say that to try and scare third-party insurers also they do not communicate with the third-party insurance, I had to do all the footwork also they lie about payout My case handler unreliable also. I believe the whole team need retraining on customer service skills and Learn how to support Customise through such hard time The whole company from Liverpool are hopeless.
And also the portal team and the finance team they both say different things and advising me Two different things.

Why can we not do -ratings, this company is an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to actually call themselves Solicitors, I had a crash in December of 2022, they were so quick to get on board to take on my claim, they send you an app/online based system, that decides to work when it wants, I've asked on loads of occasions for someone who may be human to ring me, and nothing, not sure if anyone here can actually speak?? PLEASE DO NOT even contemplate this company, I had no choice as it was through my insurance company, maybe very CHEAP to use, there were 2 other people involved in my car, one has had an offer, another they got the wrong account of the accident and I've had nothing, changed insurance company because of how disgusted i was.

Has an RTA 10th July 2023, was hit by a polish hgv driver, I'm still waiting on compensation
I've done everything carpenters have asked me to do ie specialist doctors, pyhio etc ect, even had xrays, MRI scans, CT scans and still not been sorted out yet.
They can't find the polish driver but been informed they have found the UK handling company in the UK. Still ongoing,
I have damaged vertebrae due to whiplash
Carpenters DO NOT keep you updated on what's going on, I've had to give up my driving job and had too get rid of my car as the pain in my neck is on going their is a possibility that I may need surgery.
Carpenters insurance in my opinion are NOT a very good insurance company., AVOID

Had a car accident they accepted liability straight away wife gets paid out AV been waiting two years 4 months 3months ago they said my claim is worth. More than they r offering so I said ok can U get me an interim payment they said yes as soon as second court pack has been sent so rang up and they hav said now that the company isn't paying the interim payment so I said I want to take the offer they've given me now there saying it's got to go to another department they make U hear wat they want U to hear disappointed at this so more time which is drastically affecting my mental health will keep u updated

My husband was involved in a car accident on 10 December 2023 which was not his fault. After many many phone calls to this company of which after 20 minutes the line goes dead, their total lack of communication is shocking. I emailed several times and you finally get a response a few days later. The claim has finally been settled 20 August 2024. AVOID THIS EXCEPTIONALLY AWFUL COMPANY they don't care about their clients

I have an ongoing claims with these solicitors, after reading few of the reviews here I seems I am in or ending up in similar situations what they wrote here, they are not straight forward to deal with, communication with them are less than a star, their advices are not to the interest of those they represent.

Our son had an accident June 23. 3rd party finally admitted liability. Hastings have closed the case. No contact off carpenters have to keep chasing. Still waiting for excess. Member of staff said all going through. Now it’s not? Get your facts right. What an absolute joke.

I would give this company a VERY wide berth. They don't even deserve one star!
Shocking customer care, total lack of effective communication, interest, and advice and no provision of duty of care, total failure in all areas. I don't know how they are still practicing. The distress they have caused me is unbelievable.
What we're not told when we have an accident is that we don't have to use the solicitors linked to the insurance company, so often Carpenters!
Please report them to the legal ombudsman once your complaint has been made to Carpenters. Follow the process, it's the only way to get something done!
My claim is now in its third year and I'm still chasing treatment and resolution but hoping the legal ombudsman will resolve the issues I've experienced.

It was 7th October 2021 some idiot crashed into me they had a child in the back seat she came ranting at me so I phoned the police would come out so did all the correct procedures being through HastingsDirect and having cover via these Solicitors was a great mistake I certainly wasn’t injured not sure what the other party claimed for so after paying out for repairs and hire access etc that still hadn’t claimed for my car hire only £57 got all the rest of money I paid out so after so many emails past from pillar to post Solicitors have more leave than Corvid or train/ bus workers so the took the 3rd party to court now I find out that it has been sorted the 3 rd party are paying the car hire the money WTH for ??only saving grace was

Would leave a zero score if I could only had to use this company because they were part of my inclued legal cover with general accident. Just agree with all the other reviews, waiting from December 2022 still nothing sorted out dispite got all required documents. Called numerous times same reply we will contact you. No response, going to get in touch with insurance company to see if they can do something this company needs investigating,bad
customer service, no communication just to start with.

I would rate them minus 5 if I could. I've had the same results as many on here. I got badly injured in a road accident that wasn't my fault in June, this firm were appointed by my insurance company and I haven't heard anything since my case handler phoned me in July about a medical appointment to dicuss my injuries. I've phoned them around 8 times and can't get through to my handler and quite often the call just drops off for no reason. I have even tried to get other staff members to contact the case handler.I will be writing a complaint through my insurance company.

Dreadfull service, made a claim over a year ago for my car insurance and there’s no way of getting hold of them.

Husband had an accident Feb 23, the first few days Carpenters were appointed by the insurance they made contact and made all the right noises. Contact very quickly dropped off and we have not been able to get hold of the case handler David McNally for months despite several messages and requests for replies being raised. We tried calling and was on hold for 45 minutes and then the call completely disconnected. We had no choice but to use this firm but I would advise to avoid at all cost. We will be seeking advice on what our options are moving forwards.

If could give no stars I would, had a accident in Nov 22 now July 23 and still no nearer to compensation I'm owed.....was told in April need wait another 6 weeks bur still nothing.....didn't get choice as this is firm my insurance company use but I'd definitely not use them again...absolutely awful company to deal with.
