Looks great on paper, not so much in practice (re: free hosting)
Pros:
1) 400% CPU and 8 GB RAM on a free plan is genuinely a steal - no complaints there
2) (until recently) The points system was a nice touch - let you renew your server without having to think about it too often
Cons:
1) The points system was SEVERELY underbaked. It got abused like crazy, and as a result, all the resources ended up in the hands of whoever hoarded the most points. Which, btw, led directly to the next issue
2) In March, there was a massive data loss event (or, let's be real, a deliberate wipe of the node to free up space for premium users) - servers went down, mine included, with zero warning from anyone
3) SUPPORT IS BASICALLY NONEXISTENT!!! I opened a ticket about my server being down due to the data loss, and it's still unresolved 2+ months later (and yes, I kept renewing the server this whole time). As of writing this, the ticket is still open. But here's the kicker - they actually charge you to bump your ticket up the queue. Not just a premium and free user split, but literally pay-to-get-a-response. Wild.
4) Then, around April–May, another hit - renewal windows got shorter AND they swapped out true 24/7 uptime for a fake version. Now, on top of renewing more often, your server hibernates the moment no one's connected, and spinning it back up means sitting in a queue for what feels like forever. Oh, and the cherry on top is overselling. That advertised 400% CPU? Yeah, it's basically a lie. You won't get anywhere near it, even under full load
Verdict: Back in fall and winter of last year, this was hands down the best free hosting out there - points drama aside. But at this point? Not worth it. The "generous" resources are pretty much smoke and mirrors now, and competitors offering less on paper are running laps around them in practice.

We appreciate that you recognized the resources offered on our free plan and that the previous points system provided value. We also understand your frustration regarding the issues you experienced.
Regarding the points system, you're correct that it became vulnerable to abuse over time. As our user base grew, we identified shortcomings that affected fairness and resource distribution. Those issues ultimately led us to redesign the system to create a more sustainable platform for everyone.
Concerning the incident in March, we sincerely regret the disruption caused to affected users. It was never our intention to inconvenience anyone, and we reject the suggestion that servers were deliberately removed to make room for premium customers. Infrastructure incidents can occur despite our best efforts, and we continue working to improve reliability and communication during such events.
We're also sorry to hear about your support experience. Waiting months for a response is not the standard we aim to provide. While we offer optional priority support for users who require faster assistance, every support request remains important to us, regardless of plan. We acknowledge that our response times have not always met expectations, and improving support capacity remains one of our priorities.
As for the changes to renewals and hibernation, these were introduced to ensure the long-term sustainability of our free hosting platform. Providing generous free resources while maintaining fair access for thousands of users requires careful balancing of available infrastructure. Although these changes may not suit every use case, they were implemented to keep the service available rather than reduce its quality.
Finally, regarding CPU performance, the advertised resources represent the maximum allocation available to a server. Actual performance depends on several factors, including workload characteristics, virtualization, and overall infrastructure demand. We do not intentionally advertise resources that users are incapable of accessing.
We genuinely appreciate constructive feedback, even when it is critical. Comments like yours help us identify where we need to improve, and we remain committed to making the platform more reliable and providing a better experience for both free and premium users.
