Busy Bees Nurseries - Busy Bees at Shenley Anmeldelser 

Horrific experience with Busy Bees in Shenley, Hertfordshire and would never recommend them. I am a mother of 3 and nothing usually fazes me when it comes to nurseries, I’m very familiar with the set up and have realistic expectations. My 18 month old was absolutely traumatised by Busy Bees for the short time he was there before we pulled him out - we signed him up for afternoon sessions twice a week which we were told was absolutely fine, however after settling in I was repeatedly moaned at by staff that my baby was getting too upset and disturbing other children because when he arrives for his session the entire toddler room is asleep, so he’s upset at having no one to play with for the first TWO HOURS of his 4 hour session. Why even offer afternoon sessions in that case? And why wait until we’ve paid to tell us this when I made it extremely clear that my baby will have already napped before 1pm, and also clarified that morning sessions are not an option for us?
Shortly after this we received a call that our baby had bumped his head and had a lump and bruise but was otherwise fine. Not even 30 minutes later, the app was updated to tell me my child - who had already napped - was asleep. Asleep after a head injury and a room full of qualified professionals all thought this was acceptable.
Every single time I collected my baby his face would be covered in dried, encrusted snot from crying all day. On two occasions I collected him and found him crying unattended while staff played with other children, despite them knowing he was new and obviously struggling with the adjustment and not being supported. The final straw, and I’m embarrassed it took me this long to pull him out, was that his dairy intolerance was not uploaded on the system despite my reminders. We switched to Juniper Juniors immediately after this and they were an absolute dream, settling in was perfect and to date he hasn’t had a single issue there 6 months later. To say I absolutely loathe them for how they treated an innocent and scared baby would be an understatement. Avoid this one like the plague.

Communication with management is very slow... The other thing is that when I went to pick up with my little son, he often had a runny nose, as did the other little child, and their nose was not wiped.
Since my little son goes to another daycare, I see how much the staff here are happy every day when we take them. I didn't experience this at this daycare.

I couldn't thank Busy Bee enough for everything they have done for our family. Shannon, Cherry, Yanique, and every single teacher there have made such a positive impact on my little one's life.

When my son first started, I was incredibly nervous. He was very shy, had a speech delay, wasn't potty trained despite multiple failed attempts, and had never been away from us on his own. If he was upset he would be hard to calm down if we weren't there to cuddle him. We did everything together and always had a wonderful time, so leaving him at nursery was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I worried about whether he could communicate his needs to the staff, if they would be as patient and loving with his tantrums and whether he would be able to tell me how he felt about nursery when he came home.

To say that he has been looked after, nurtured, loved, and patiently taught new skills would be an understatement. Shannon and Cherry are his main teachers, and he comes home talking about how much they encourage him and the other children, how they're always smiling, and how they play fun games together.

The transformation has been incredible. He now eats everything—fruit, vegetables, even Weetabix! (His diet used to be extremely limited.) He is fully potty trained, talks all day long, makes new friends, and literally runs into nursery every single morning with excitement and has outgrown any tantrums fully (in fact he's only ever had one since he started). He is the calmest happiest child.

As a mum who cares deeply for her children and prays every day for them to be safe, happy, and loved, I truly couldn't be more grateful for this nursery. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any parent facing the daunting decision of sending their little one to nursery. They have made all the difference for us, and I will always be thankful. The only sad part is that he is leaving for school in August! But now he will go more than prepared and that makes me so happy.

Busy Bees have been amazing with our daughter and so welcoming she has loved every minute of being there we have really noticed that Soraya’s development skills have increased.The team at Busy Bees are so helpful and kind as a parent you want nothing more than to know your little one is safe and well looked after while enjoying there time at pre school and Busy Bees definitely provides this and so much more so thank you very much for everything you have done and continue to do to help our daughter learn and grow whilst also making everyday fun and exiting x

What an amazing nursery! The best in the area in my opinion the staff cant do enough. The app is updated constantly making it easy for me to keep track. The staff genuinely care and my daughter has had the best experience there. We are moving house soon so we unfortunately have to leave after 6 months and im devastated! Such a positive experience especially being a first time working mum. Thank you to Yanique/Bria and all the amazing girls there you are wonderful!

My son really enjoys every day at the nursery.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 6 months now and she loves it, and so do we! All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and my daughter has settled in so well! They genuinely care about the children, and try to ensure that their day in nursery is similar to their day at home which has made the transition really smooth! They are constantly doing different types of engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors, and they have a brilliant app that they keep you updated with EVERYTHING! This includes nappy changes, meals, sleep time, and even upload adorable pictures on a regular basis of what they have been up to during the day! I am extremely grateful for finding them, and even though I've moved a bit far from them now due to work commitments, I continue to send my daughter here as I feel really comfortable with everything they do! ! Would definitely recommend!!
