Stay away from clinic. Operating under company name BURNABY METROTOWN CHIROPRACTOR CLINIC by JAS MADAHAR
Ordered mid august 2023. Expected product 5-10 days (beg of Sept)
He made them incorrectly ($780 orthotic inserts two pairs). Both were no foam. 3/4 length no frills
They came with this sanding that was not on the demo pieces shown to you during your selection. And they slip around in the shoes so badly. Brought them back. He was quite dismissive of my opinion that the sanding was going the wrong way and hence it’s slipping. Insisted it’s because I don’t want the foam lining (full length foam). Told him that it should not slip as it is supposed to rest under my arch what does the foam have to do with it. And if the company cannot make them so they stay put why on earth is no foam an option?
Pushed the foam option on me. So fine we had them shipped out to have foam put on them
Recall: I was supposed to have them in 2 weeks. So. In late September I got a new part time. That plus my full time his operation hours were just too restrictive and getting there was a challenge. I had had a serious injury in March of 2023. Used up most of my time off options for the year.
Tried to go after work. But they close so early. You can’t just go. They want you to book.
Booked. Secretary gets back to me with a time that is smack between my doctors appointments. So I wouldn’t have time to get a bus. Tried walking there. Got so turned around as grimmer street is broken up into several parts so by the time I realized this I had no idea how to continue or get back to the main road. Told them. Please just ship. It’s so stressful trying to rush there when their hours are so restrictive
They said they don’t ship
I called them out on how stupid that is. And it wasn’t like I was asking them to pay postage.
Then he changed his tune and said okay I will ship but then we are no longer responsible for the item once it leaves our clinic
Um…. You made it wrong the first time…. And I’ve yet to see them after they supposedly got re made and have foam on them…. Why on earth do you think I would release you from your responsibility to provide a working pair of orthotics??
Just absolutely had enough with this experience. (This is now middle of October by the way, 6+ weeks since i ordered them)
So I informed them I think it’s time I contact MasterCard. Which I did.
The doc has tried and tried to be a pain about this. And the pc financial supervisor who has followed this case since October laughs at his attempts and has pointed out they have very little grounds to win the dispute.
The doc : has my orthotics, had my money (at the time I filed before MasterCard issued a forced refund while they investigate) and they can’t prove the orthotics fit me as they have them.
Me: I have second opinion that the orthotics were done incorrectly hence they slide. And the foam is not needed or necessary except for comfort (I’ve never needed comfort as the ones from my other doc fit me like a glove and I don’t even know they are in my shoes) and instead of 3D image, my other doc uses actual foam molds that you stomp your foot in and it’s a true representation of your feet
This doc tried to fight the dispute. By replying with blank response. According to pc financial Mastercard supervisor, he did not respond correctly so this will count against him as this case is now escalated to Mastercard Canada.
Ultimately I’ve had my orthotics done by absolute physiotherapy clinic Burnaby. And I’ve had them done twice here. Two years apart. And the first pair is still perfect. And now I have 2 more from them. Ordered it the day before end of year. And got them first week of January. Just had my benefits reset so I will be going there for 2 more pairs (nothing like rush in the mornings and needing to move insert from one shoe to another, having them in all of my regular shoes I wear (sneakers/rainboots etc) is much nicer.
My advice is stay away from DR MADAHAR
**** it is now middle of Jan 2024 (ordered it middle august 2023 for a 10 business days turn around) I still don’t have the inserts. What a nightmare of a doctor 😅
