Excellent company to deal with.
I've just read recent reviews and really cannot understand why they are so poor. I cannot fault the company. I've been ordering bulbs from them for several years now and I have ordered thousands in fact probably 20 or 30,000. I've put in a late order for 2000 mixed daffodils two days ago, as I realised I had not got enough for the job I was doing, the bulbs arrived this morning. DPD delivered, they are one of the best delivery companies out there. Really happy with the service from Boston bulbs and DPD. Regarding a previous review regarding the 10% discount. Whenever I go on their website the 10% is automatically discounted without me even logging in as it recognizes my phone. You may think it's not been discounted but when you check the invoice it clearly shows it as.
I find the quality of bulbs is good, some people may not realize but the bigger the bulb the more you pay for it so if you want cheap bulbs don't expect top quality.
I have had cause to contact the company twice in the past where one batch of bulbs had a higher than expected percentage of soft bulbs and another order where there was a bit of a short fall in numbers. Both times I phoned the company the phone was answered immediately and they totally replaced everything and more. I will continue to use them for all of my bulb requirements in the future.

I placed two orders earlier this week. I “registered” because I was told that would entitle me to a 10% discount. Neither order was discounted. I have tried to calm, have left two messages, and nobody has bothered to respond.

Delivery is ok, but really, this is not good enough, and feels like a total rip off to boost registration numbers.

I am super happy with my purchase. I ordered £70 worth of bulbs on Tuesday 16th September and they were delivered today Friday 19th September.
I now have 700 bulbs to plant out. That is such good value for money.
The bulbs are all in excellent condition and extremely well packed with clear labels and planting instructions.
I had emailed to ask when my order would be dispatched because I wanted to make sure I was home and I had an instant reply from Koby.
My experience has been very rewarding and I am looking forward to seeing all my bulbs come into flower.

I ordered 1000 fritillary bulbs, 100 winter aconites and 100 daffs at the beginning of September, they were very later being delivered. The aconites were tiny compared to the ones I'd ordered from a different company a few years ago, less than half the size. The fritillary bulbs had started to grow out by the time they'd arrived, I put them straight into the fridge in the vegetable draw to keep the fresh and planted them the next day. Nearly broke my back and was in agony for two days, now not one of the fritillary bulbs have come up yet the ones I'd bought 10 years ago in the main meadow have flower buds on. Less than 30 of the 100 aconites have come up, just one of N. obvallaris has a flower on it but I paid £147.99 for a lovely spring show and not got it! I'll be asking for a refund on them, if I don't get one I'll be contacting my credit card company. This is just terrible service! I was so looking forward to seeing all the bulbs from my new conservatory as well. It's the last time I shall ever use Boston Bulbs! You buy bulbs for a show in the spring. I haven't got what I paid for! Edited. 09-03-25

When I complained to the terrible results to Boston Bulbs, I got no response, nothing.
This is a terrible company with NO customers care whatsoever!
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Ordered £40 worth of bulbs, £5 for delivery and my parcel hasn't turned up! Was hoping to get the bulbs in the ground but not sure when I'll be able to do that now... no response to emails. My advice would be do not use!

Not very impressed with this Company. Won’t be ordering again.

Very slow delivery, approx six weeks from ordering and then only after sending an email asking where my order was. Some bulbs going rotten, bulb sizes not very big.

I will stick with my preferred supplier in the future.

Ordered 11/9/24, received an email 20/9/24 warning of delays but orders would be fulfilled in 7-10 days. Still waiting 15/10/24. The order includes daffs which should be in the ground now. Website claims all NEW orders will be fulfilled within 7 days after ordering. Ha !

Wow ! first day after this review my order is despatched, second day it's delivered. Coincidence or not, I'll let you decide.

I ordered 50 double late tulip bulbs in August. They have just arrived. The quality is very poor. They are small bulbs only suitable for naturalising, not for displays in pots. Bulbs ordered from other companies arrived sooner and are far superior. I am very disappointed.

The company have been very up front about the poor yields experienced by bulb growers. Their stock is limited this season. However, my own order arrived in full, very promptly, all healthy bulbs ready to plant out.

Placed an order for 100 allium purple sensation bulbs. Paid via PayPal and received no order confirmation. I have emailed Boston Bulbs three times and left an answerphone message and received no response whatsoever. Very disappointing and inadequate customer service with is unacceptable. Failing a response I shall be reporting Boston Bulbs to Trading Standards.

Not impressed. Ordered in September didn’t arrive. Emailed them in November to say when would the order be despatched as we were going away and they then sent email to say shipped. Nothing else, parcel force then tried to deliver, left Card to say left in local post office, but when went to collect they didn’t have it

Emailed Boston Bulbs saying that I hadn’t had the order, no reply..... went through parcel force. Who eventually traced the delivery 5 miles away. At different post office. So, eventually got the bulbs which by this time were past their best. Let’s see what comes up...

I would not use this company again, perhaps their strength is dealing with large wholesale customers and not direct to consumers. If so don’t try to sell to all markets

burn your money instead of placing an order. at least that way you get something out of the experience as you warm your hands on the flames and realise that you didn’t waste your time dealing with a company that takes your money then you hear nothing from them and they refuse to respond to emails. still no bulbs. still zero customer service

I placed an order over a week ago for over £70 worth of bulbs but have sadly received no bulbs. Emailed twice to find out when the bulbs will arrive and they haven't replied. Explained that I'm going away and if they don't arrive soon won't be here to accept the parcel. Not impressed at their poor customer service and am very disappointed. Order no 18776.

For the third year, I have purchased a few thousand bulbs for our communal gardens and am delighted to confirm that, once again, Boston bulbs have produced top quality blooms. I think every single bulb has flowered. We have the most splendid colourful display. I am very happy to buy from Boston Bulbs as quality has been guaranteed each year. Thank you.

Nearly 50% of bulbs were rotten on arrival. Vendor promised replacements a few weeks ago which never arrived. No longer responding to emails.

Poor.

I recently took delivery of 250 Hawera bulbs which were to be planted in a sensory garden for the blind and visually impaired. They were of poor quality and it was doubtful if they were mature enough to flower come Spring. I contacted Boston Bulbs, sending photographs, and after checking their remaining stock, they agreed that they did not reach the required standard. As compensation they have asked that I pick out a quantity of bulbs from their website which they will send free of charge. Excellent customer service and totally unexpected from a company who has listened and acted. Thank you

They replied when They saw this- they say they have the bulbs but short of courier companies but offer to send out tomorrow or a refund

They took my money and say they have run out of blubs, they do not reply when I asked for my money back. I don't want bulbs after the planting season They should have come in September

A good price for the quantity of bulbs I have been waiting for. However, the autumn flowering crocus I planted last year are in full bloom while the long awaited delivery from Boston is clearly not in full flower, they were disappointingly well advanced when they finally arrived in mid October. They will need to be planted immediately and with great care.
