I am a year on from my wedding and still no refund.
The photo booth didnt turn up on time so was unable to use it.
Our package stated a before 12pm delivery. This did NOT happen.
Contacted them about this the next day and were helpful to start with and then from there nothing but hassle.
Offered a partial refund which i accepted but im still yet to receive.
They even sent be supposed conformation of the refund however its never gone into my bank.
After many emails saying i haven't received the refund they then went silent and did responded to my emails.
This also happened to someone else i know so wasn't a one time unfortunate event.
This is why i have now chose to write a review!

Unhelpful, incorrect items and terrible customer service!
For a company that deals with weddings and other special events, I would not trust this company to be part of your event as it has caused nothing but additional stress.
I have actually not had any issues with this company prior to having my items delivered (as I see some other people have experienced) and found the booking and monthly payment process easy. Although, they did try to send me final reminders about my invoice that we paid in October 2024 in March 2025, seeking that I make urgent payment. I had
booked this at least 18 months prior to my wedding date, and made final payments 8 months prior to the date - so thought everything would be in hand!
My wedding was on 19.06.25 and my items were recieved as planned the day before (18.06.25).
My package clearly stated what was included, but I did not receive what I had ordered. My package included (and I DID NOT RECIEVE)
-props on sticks (only word boards were included) - this wouldn’t be as frustrating but my package very clearly stated props on sticks & word boards - so that’s what you expect to receive??
-White guest scrapbook/guest book & pens.
Had I have known this was not what I was going to receive then I would have purchased items separately. This is not the kind of stress you need the day before your wedding.
I only recieved 3 packs of printing strips (150 photos) instead of 4 packs of printing strips for 200 photos (what I had paid for!!).
I emailed within the allocated time of receiving my order (within 60 minutes, I believe I emailed within 20) to make the company aware that I had items missing, and it’s laughable that they think they do not have any accountability for the items missing in my package. I recieved a response to advise that the items I recieved were correct - despite showing evidence of what was included in my package. The person responding to me couldn’t see that guestbook & pens were ‘included’ (so that must mean it’s untrue?!) - this was actually what was responded to this part of my email “I cannot see guestbook on the order but will not be able to resolve this in anyway before tomorrow regardless”. They advised that with regards to my missing print packs that would need to be investigated because it had been listed that 4 had been packed - I’d note that as part of the checklist you are sent beforehand that there is no photo evidence taken of the print packs, so despite this being completed with 4 packs being put into my order, I only recieved 3. But my word against there’s! Again, nothing that can be done to rectify the situation though with regards to fewer prints being sent to me.
If they cannot rectify the situation then they should not tell you to email within 60 minutes for assistance!
The worst thing about this whole situation is that I did not once get any acknowledgement of the stress this caused, or an apology and that is actually what has led to me writing this review because it was absolutely disgusting customer service. I would comment on who replied to me, but they didn’t even sign off with a name. I’d also like to note, apart from receiving the initial response, I sent a follow up email and have still not received anything to date.
I’d agree with every other negative review here - spend your money elsewhere with another DIY company, or invest in a proper Photo Booth where at least you know you can trust and rely on them to do the job you need them to do for your special event.
I would seek a full refund, but at this point, I know it wouldn’t be worth trying to pursue this and would rather leave my dealings with them here. I still paid £174 for a service I did not receive.
I wish I could comment on the actual booth itself, but after the let down of this company, I just could not trust that it would work or that I would be helped on our big day so made the decision not to use this. I would not recommend.

Money grabbing bas*tards!!!!
I would give it zero stars but not an option.
I booked with them back in 2023, for my wedding end of 2025. They were taking monthly payments, but my card details had changed and I emailed them asking to change payment details, to which they sent me a full amount bill notice.
Emailed them serveral times to then hear nothing back.
I emailed them to say sadly I won't be needed their Photo Booth as the wedding is cancelled and I have now recieved, two years later nearly, a final notice to pay the remaining balance otherwise it will be sent to the courts. It took them 30 mins to reply to my email after stating I wanted to cancel it, yet couldn't respond to my email about changing my bank details!
Disgusting company and they're money robbing bas*ards!!

you say you "go out of your way to resolve real issues" ummmm have you not seen the other reviews on here? Oh they are all made up rants, I see.

Like everyone else, rating 1 star because I can’t rate ZERO.
Have had absolutely no contact from the company, and no way to access their “customer portal” and only got a response because I asked for a refund. They’re now claiming my account is overdue and will have charges applied despite the booking being months away and them never sending an invoice for the balance. Very glad to have found out in time to book a different vendor for my wedding.
Avoid like the plague.

We entered a competition back in 2024 to win a photobooth for our wedding- we won runner up. We decided on a classic pod with a white background. A week before our wedding we received an email to tell us that unfortunately the printer wasn't working so as a good gesture they would upgrade and we would receive the photos 24hours after. The pod came the day before our wedding, NO white background, a horrible rose one. Five chalk boards with the words Bride, Groom, I wasn't invited, team bride. No accessories. A very disappointing experience even if it was a competition.
We have since reached out to BoothIy as we are unable to access any pictures, to receive NO communication from them at all, even though it states all contact forms answered within 7 working days.
We certainly would NOT recommend this company and will never use them for any future event that we may have.

Customer service is absolutely non existent and the only reply I've had from them is asking for another 50 quid to "upgrade to a managed service"and no other contact after that.

Warning: Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Company
We booked through this company after winning a prize, and what should have been an exciting time quickly turned into a nightmare. After paying their bill, we were suddenly told that we had the wrong date for our own wedding — a mistake we do not believe was ours.
We tried to resolve the issue, but instead of helping, the company dismissed us and claimed we weren’t even their customer, which, frankly, I now wish were true.
This experience has caused us a great deal of stress and disappointment. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Had our wedding in August 2024, long story short. It never came on our wedding day, after months of back and forth emails Boothiy finally agreed to refund us...but the refund never came! This was around October/November 2024 time and never had a response since.
Concidently renamed their brand a new name photo in a box under new management. Waste of time, effort and money!
Easy to set up
Easy to set up and great that we could do it all ourselves! Guests loved it and we have some fabulous photos as the day progressed as we weren’t restricted to a time frame. We had a slight technical issue but the help desk responded and helped resolve the issue quickly.
Terrible customer service
Just awful to try get in contact with, so rude, I emailed a few months ago saying apologies I’d had to email but the customer portal wasn’t working.. the response ‘it is working’. Just an awful experience in general, after paying my first half of the money I kept getting emails asking me to book the same product for my ‘big day’ so I decided to just pay the fee and cancel it. I can’t imagine it would have been a great experience with the actual photos as described below in other awful reviews of this company. Just be nice, customer friendliness costs absolutely zero. I cut my losses and have hired a £600 Photo Booth and the company I’ve booked with has been so friendly, easy to deal with!

After reading the response below, you can see that this company is not one to engage with. I have sent several emails to try and get a satisfactory response. Seem to have now taken down their insta and Facebook (or blocked me!). Reported me to Trustpilot but my review was upheld.

Awful customer service
Awful customer service. No response to emails. We got married in July 2024. And still haven't recieved our photos. Before the event I emailed to ask for collection date. No response. The photobooth was eventually collected. I tried to recieve my photos on the portal but this didn't work, I emailed. Which took weeks for a reply. They advise me a late fee had been added and that is why I cannot get my photos and I need to pay it. I haven't recieved an invoice and there is nothing on the portal for me to make the payment (although I don't feel like a late payment fee should be added due to lack of response) I advised them of this. Weeks later I finally get a reply and I am advised they will waved the late fee and get the photos sorted. 2 months later still no photos. In this time I have chased this. I then get a aggressive response from them reminding me the late fee had been waved as a gesture of good will. This email was recieved in november 2024. I have chased on a monthly bases with no response still now. These are pictures of a day we can never have again.
Awful experience for our wedding day!
Do not use this for a special occasion. Great idea and we were looking to save some money on a photo booth at our wedding instead of paying £500-600 more on hiring one however wished we had just spent the extra money! It was tricky to set up on the morning of the wedding. There were problems upon set up and errors throughout the night. They also have very strict requirements for sending it back the next day otherwise you incur big charges. I think the think that topped it off for me was the very very poor customer service when emailing them about some issues we had, the chap was rude and I felt belittled. Not what you want after your special big day! Avoid at all costs!

Amazing! Such a smooth process from start to finish. They listened to my needs and absolutely delivered - I have managed to capture some beautiful memories in the form of pictures with my loved ones. Would strongly recommend using Boothiy if you’re looking to create memories, have easy access to your photos & be provided with top customer care that listens to your needs. Thank you!

Awful company. Avoid at all costs.
Normally I take all negative reviews with a pinch of salt, but please take my advice and avoid Boothiy at all costs.
Courier was late with the set up and was going to turn up the morning of the wedding.
Different backdrop than requested was included.
When complaining they refer you to the t&c’s which are flaky at best.
When I tried to contact them the night before our wedding to resolve the issues - not in a negative way, they replied saying I shouldn’t be messaging them so late and it wasn’t a technical issue.
The whole experience caused a lot of unneeded stress that was not worth the small saving we made.
Should have paid a bit more and used a reputable company!
Update after Boothiy reply: delivery was due around the 10th April 2024 for our event on the 11th. It may have been booked under my wife’s name.
I was prompted to write the review after almost a year due to stumbling upon the rude messages in my WhatsApp which reminded me of the awful service we received - I wanted to make sure others don’t risk the same issues for their wedding day.
I still have the messages saved if you or trustpilot require proof.
