Berry Lodge Surveyors Ltd is no more. Had 2 Directors, both resigned. One is an individual who runs Stokemont Surveyors. Both firms should be avoided at all costs. Stokemont currently being investigated for wrongdoing

I contacted them to deal with a party wall issue with our neighbours. I have tried contacting them since August (after they had completed the survey to follow up with a few matters) and still no reply. I finally got through to the receptionist two weeks ago and was told they would call me right back. 2 weeks later and still no reply. They are a very unprofessional and unreliable company and I would not recommend them.

Terrible experience. Would not recommmed. Call centre issues as with others but also had 2 surveyors leave the company in a 3 month period and was left with no notification and delay in project. Had to start liasing all with other surveyor. Poor service

I have contacted this company seven times trying to get a call back as an on going customer. Each time no matter what office contact number you ring you are transferred to a call centre. They in turn attempt to connect you to the party wall agreement department with no joy having to leave a message to call you back. No one ever calls you back so it's a complete waste of time. Customer relations is obviously a joke to this company and deffinatly one to avoid.

Deeply unpleasant practice to deal with. Beware, once appointed to act for you on Party Wall matters, you are locked in without the ability to withdraw - even if (as in my case) their charges became unreasonable. They cite that they are appointed "under statute and not contract law". Be comfortable that the PW surveyor that you appoint will be flexible and reasonable.

Responsive, organised and thorough - very helpful throughout the party wall process.

I chose this service based on trust pilot, and it was incredibly poor and unprofessional. They looked around the property, and just focused on minor cosmetic issues and missed a lot of problems that were pretty obvious. I ended up not using their report, and creating my own snagging list. Not only because it was incomplete, but because the report was extremely hard to read with poor descriptions and bad visualization of the problems. The service was extremely expensive. After consulting with friends I realized that they charged me at least twice as much than other providers, and with a much worse service. I wrote an email to them complaining about it two months ago, and they never even answered me. Stay away from this service.

We engaged Berry Lodge as the adjoining owners on a party wall agreement. They were really reassuring from the first phone call on what for us was a unknown process taking place at a stressful time, and took a careful, thorough and helpful approach throughout. Our questions along the way were always answered thoughtfully and clearly, and we felt confident that the final agreement reflected our wishes. We would certainly work with Berry Lodge (our contacts were Beau and Tughan) again. The only reason for awarding four rather than five stars is that we had to chase/follow up at a couple of points - but it is very possible we had an unusually high number of queries and in general in the team were very responsive and helpful!

The Surveyor Seyi at this company provided me a clear/informative insight into the steps needed to take before proceeding with my Party Wall works in next coming months.

Seji offered me some great free advice, quickly and professionally. I didn't end up needed to pay for any services but was still treated very well as customer.

Seyi was very responsive to emails and also gave a lot of time over the phone to explain various options regarding our party wall survey. Very happy with the service and costing.

From start to finish the experience with BerryLodge has been simply and stress free. I have been kept up to date at every stage with no delays, really happy with the service and would recommend. Thank you to Beau and Seyi who have been dealing with my agreement.

I Would strongly advise you avoid Berry Lodge for any party wall work or any surveyor works.

We had the severe misfortune of being landed with this OUTFIT a few months ago.

The person we dealt with, he was rude and demeaning throughout and we also felt that he misled me.

He was continually dishonest and was caught out when he sent a bill of extortionate fees that were never ever agreed.
When questioned was caught lieing again. I can't put to much detail on the review or BL will get trust pilot to block it again.

They have a bad name in the industry for good reason.

They have been reported to the governing body and in my opinion this is a company to steer clear from!

This company failed procure and reference the actual plans containing the fine details from Land Registry Office. When I pointed this out and provided the actual fine detail plans to the management they failed to respond and do an accurate which also leaned on the accurate measurements provided by the Land Registry. Legal Which? solicitors advised me to request another survey from them at no further expense as they are in breach of consumer law. This they have failed to do. I'm very disappointed and disgusted especially at having paid them £725 plus vat. The surveyor who appears to be the only surveyor for the company totally failed to prepare a proper survey as said. I note that he has been complained about in a previous review also. Unfortunately its not just him at fault in this company. The management were all written to and all failed to rectify the matter - they only demanded another figure well over £1000 to come out and do it again properly. Utterly disgraceful and shameful. I am looking to report them to RICS in the coming days unless they put it right. They were supposed to be the professionals and have enough knowledge to procure the accurate fine measurements from the Land Registry Office. I feel their service is lazy, sloppy, negligent, worthless and a waste of money. Which? legal are disgusted with their serious failures and said their report was not fit for purpose and is in breach of consumer law.

1 They have falsely claimed that there has been changes to the boundary since the survey has taken place. No changes have taken place to the boundary since the survey took place despite they falsely claiming so and I have documentary evidence proving that the company are aware of this fact.
2.The company has since been supplied with Land Registry documents of a far better scale where everything is down to the last inch which they failed to use their professionalism and get for themselves and use. After becoming aware that such was available i provided them with it.
3. I have never said that I was happy with the report. I am disgusted with their nasty responses and failure to put the matter right.
4. They have failed to reference their measurements against the actual land registry deeds precise measurements (as people who hold themselves out as professionals they ought to have had the common sense to have procured these measurements - which are precise down to the last inch from the land registry office themselves but neglected to do so)which would add weight to the survey - hence these people are a waste of time and money and what they have issued is incompetent and neglectful. They have had months to put this right but have failed to do so. I am prepared to adjust this review if they put things right. I would say avoid this company like the plague - they are a waste of time and money.

Used this company to send party wall notices and do condition reports. Service was good and quick. Will be back in touch when I do the loft works next year.

Berry Lodge handled party wall matters for our proposed extension. It was a complex one as there were 6 parties to serve notice to, but Bradley and the Berry Lodge team did a great job throughout. Would highly recommend them
