The staff are always very helpful
The staff are always very helpful. I always find great deals and exactly what I’m looking for. If I can’t find it in store I’ll order online and collect from store. Blacks Dundee has been a big yes for me for years. To sleeping bags, and my favourite camping gear.

Vegan Walking Boots
This was only my second time in the store and I was lucky enough to be served by Lisa.
I went thinking they wouldn't stock vegan boots but Lisa found a pair instantly that were right up my street, beautiful fit and so very comfortable when on.
Lisa made me feel at ease and went above and beyond to help me pick the best cleaning and protection products, along with a selection of comfy hiking socks. If all the staff are like Lisa, Blacks will do exceptionally well.

Fantastic customer service
Jony the sales assistant was really friendly and helpful. I tried on three different pairs of walking trainers and was able to find a style that was comfortable and suited me.

I bought a Berghaus fleece for £73 from my local Blacks in Dundee. I also bought a Berghaus beanie that was on sale for £14. Was helped & served nice & politely. Fleece fits well & is warm & comfortable.
Beanie fits perfectly. Nice & tight & feels quality. No problems to report at all. Happy customer. Will be back. Blacks is my go-to for outdoorsy equipment & clothing. Thank you 👍

Excellent customer service from Alix. As it was just before Christmas the shop was busy but well organised and staffed. I received patient kind and skilled service. The choice of boots and shoes was extensive and attractive.

Great knowledge and service
This is the second time I have had the pleasure of dealing with Lisa. The first time my mother was looking for walking shoes and although we didn't find the right pair for her, Lisa's knowledge of the shoes and theri characteristics plus her super friendly manner made me decide to come back when I was looking for a pair for myself.
So today I went in and with Lisa's guidance purchased a pair of merrell moab gtx 3's which I hope will serve me well for a few years.
If you are looking for an honest non pushy place to buy a pair of shoes of boots you should check out Lisa at Black's.
