I put an order on December 22 2021 on their online store for Legrand products. I chose Betterlivingstore against Lowe's or HomDepot because they were the only one with the product in stock...
Unfortunately, a mont later I received two separate shipments (one on week 2, other one on week 3) and there's no sign of the remaining items.
They seem to dispatch their order to the manufacturer and the customer is left waiting.
Their promise of in-stock and fast delivery is misleading. Other retailers give you an estimated wait time; in fact, had I ordered the same items at Home Depot online store, I'd have got them within two weeks!
Shoppers be aware.
Central vacuum
We had a central vac installed and Clint was excellent. They finished up a partially installed system and did a great job. They also found some faulty wiring related to the previous work (by someone else) and fixed that. They were fast and very professional, and we couldn't be more pleased.
Pleasant to deal with
They the G9 LED bulbs I needed and they were easy to order and showed up a few days later as promised

My experience with Betterlivingstore.com was excellent. I had questions which were answered in a prompt and courteous manner. The items I ordered were at a great price and arrived on time. I was very satisfied.

Now waiting for order
Ordered because everything was listed as "in Stock" and even showed the quantity of each item. However, AFTER placing my order I was informed a day later that I would now have to wait because 1 of 2 items was not in stock. I am now waiting for them to tell me when item will be available to ship.
Pricing was pretty good but not good enough to make up for the wait due to their misrepresented stock.
Had their inventory shown as out of stock I would have ordered from another vendor. Oh well.
Need to Improve Customer Service and Inventory Status
I ordered 10 sets of hangers on 8/24. Site indicates products will be shipped in 3 to 5 days. Finally, over a week later, I sent an email for the status of my order. I received a call back to say my order was out of stock and if I had a number 2 choice. No. So I sent an email last Thursday morning to request the order be cancelled and a refund issued. It's Tuesday morning and I don't have a response or refund yet. AND, the item is still available for order on the website.

Did not receive them over night as promised . When I did receive my order one of the glass fixtures was broken. Made another phone call. Again spoke with Beth she said she would over night the broken piece . Did not receive it over night. Finally got my replacement . Probably would not do business again with this company.

I have made two purchases from the Betterlivingstore web site, the site is very easy to use. Prices were very reasonable. Service from customer service was outstanding. I never write reviews but I was treated so well I made time.

Customer Service doesn't have access to your order
I actually had to call after 11 days and ask where my order was. They don't have access to your information, your order, or your invoice...they need to call the 'business office' -- they could not answer the question -- I now have to wait to hear back from them, about 'a business day or two'.
Tracking your order 'is not something customer service does'. I have never, ever experienced an online customer service department that doesn't know what happens to orders once they are submitted.
Once I get my call back, and see that the order is shipped successfully, I will conclude my business relationship with this company for good.

fantastic experience at joplin mo location
My husband and I underwent an extensive home remodeling project. It required many weeks and many professionals. I visited the Better Living Store in Joplin MO on many occasions. I had no idea they carried so many quality products and had such a varied inventory. I worked extensively with their representative Melanie. She is fantastic! !! She helped me choose and special-order unusually large and intricate light fixtures. Everything arrived in perfect condition, exactly as she had assured, and precisely on time. (She even provided a little solace and a listening ear for my harried situation! )

I love shopping at the Better Living Store Outlet and Retail Store. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The shopping experience is always pleasurable. No high pressure sales pitch, just knowledgeable employees that are willing to assist with any home needs. Tony English and Sara Green assisted us while we were building our home with lighting, a Beam system, and closet organizers. They were courteous and provided us with the information and supplies/products necessary to add to the beauty of our home!
