£12 reactivation this year but not for last 3 years
I have had a membership for four years
BET2410900. Your ads say it is easy to manage your account. That is not true. My original senior membership was discounted and had full access to the centre. I wanted to pause my account for 3 months and I was told the only way was to cancel it. When I reapplied I had to pay full membership to get access on Saturday classes.
Each year I needed to cancel my membership from Mar to July. Then reactivate it. I did this each year with no fee. This year I have been charged £12.

Thank you for your feedback, and for your loyalty over the past four years.
We’re really sorry to hear about your experience managing your membership, as this is not the level of service we aim to provide. We understand how frustrating it must have been to lose your original discounted senior membership and then have to rejoin on different terms, particularly when trying to pause your account.
We only permit freezes for medical reasons, so if you do not wish to pay whilst you are away for three months out of the year, you do need to cancel and rejoin when you are ready. When rejoining, you will be subject to a small, one-off set-up fee to reactivate your account.
We can confirm that we do still offer a Senior membership at your location, however you have not selected this option for the previous 2 years.
If you would like to discuss your membership options please feel free to contact your local centre or our Customer Service team.

Getting booked on classesz…
The only issue is I cannot get booked onto anything I want to do.
I set my alarm to book Aqua and whilst I got into my app straight away, it said the class wasn’t available. Later it said fully booked.
I have been referred by my gp, work full time, and evening classes are getting full in seconds

SEND inclusive and kind staff
Came to the toddler and learner pool early this morning with my children - my oldest (8) is non-verbal autistic. A member of staff (Jack) was leading a water aerobics class in the main pool next door and noticed my son and offered to turn the music down to make it more comfortable for him. We declined, as our son loves the pool and splash pad and knew he'd be fine but I wanted to write how great it was that Jack noticed, understood and tried to make our hour swim more inclusive. We love York Leisure Centre and will be back again - great facilities and staff! Thank-you to Jack in particular!

Good centre but website/app difficult…
Good centre but website/app difficult to manage and get information from. I've not been able to book anything for nearly a week due to small print rules that actually should be made clear when booking.

Simply not interested in the members
Simply not interested in the members. Don't listen to suggestions and management sit in their office upstairs.
Poor receptionists have to deal with everything.
Apparently head office control everything.... The HO is in Belfast!
So not really a ' community stadium'
