Swimming pool
I'm new to this gym and was really looking forward to using the swimming pool as part of my fitness routine. Unfortunately, my first impressions were disappointing. When I visited, there were several men in regular boxer shorts instead of proper swimwear, treating the pool more like a holiday resort than a fitness facility. It felt unprofessional and off-putting.
Additionally, the pool itself did not appear very clean, which raised hygiene concerns. For a gym of this standard, I expected better maintenance and clearer enforcement of pool rules. I hope management addresses this, as the facility has potential, but first impressions matter.

Poor services
Showers at the swimming pool don’t work properly and also not very clean at the shower area. Too many people in the same time in the pool and it is not enough room to swim, lanes too narrow it’s very likely to accidentaly hit the others on the same lane.

The good and the bad . staff are great ,the Aqua classes…
The staff are great ,the Aqua classes are excellent.
The booking system can be tricky for those of us who are challenged by technology and the showers need an urgent upgrade.

The showers are very poor
The showers are very poor. One of the three individual showers only has cold water. Both individual and communal showers only run for about 4 seconds at a time.
This is probably only a tenth of the time that other local authority premises offer. This has been the situation for some months.

I love love love this gym. I love the staff, the cleaness of the gym, the classes. To me it's worth the price 😁. And it's 2 minutes from my home, so accessible for me. Although I wished it was a bit cheaper 😜

"New Member Experience – Not the Warmest Welcome"
I recently joined the gym and was really looking forward to the experience. Just a small suggestion — as the reception team is the first point of contact and represents the face of the gym, it would make a big difference if they were more welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, my interaction with the staff member at the Vauxhall center wasn’t very positive, as she was neither kind nor willing to offer basic guidance when I asked for some initial information. A friendly and informative first impression can go a long way, especially for new members.

Very very disappointed with the way you run your whole business , I cancelled my membership within in a day , because they had a bread down with the sauna , I’m still waiting for my credit ! The most annoying thing , is every day you are asking me to verify my age 66plus , I’ve cancelled my membership , Im done with your complete incompetence!!

People from the street walking in to have a shower and use the swimming pool
People from the street walked in without a pass behind another person and used the swimming pool to wash their one month dirt-disgusting. Also too many medical members are coming to the centre. It should be a set time for them to come

Severe Allergic Reaction After Swimming – Unacceptable!
I am extremely disappointed with our experience at this swimming pool. Both my partner and I visited twice, and after the second visit, we developed severe allergic reactions.
The next morning, we both woke up with intense redness, itching, and rashes across our arms, face, and torso. My skin began peeling, and my partner developed large red patches on his stomach. These symptoms have now persisted for 5 to 6 days and have not improved despite our efforts to treat them.
We have never experienced anything like this at any other pool. This raises serious concerns about the water quality, chemical levels, and hygiene maintenance at this facility.
I strongly urge the management to conduct an immediate inspection of the pool’s water treatment process. This is not just a minor issue—it’s a public health risk, and other swimmers may also be affected without realizing it.
We will not be returning unless there is a clear explanation and corrective action taken. I hope this review encourages greater attention to safety and cleanliness for all future customers.

It's always the little things ....
I recently joined Vauxhall Better Gym and whilst facilities are good here are some of my reflections after my initial session ....
1. Ladies Toilet - dust and dirt in corner crevices. Handsoap bottles need refilling. Feels a bit grubby
2. Gym Floor - 3 machines I counted were out of service but an engineer was present to repair
4. No antibac wipes or tissues available to wipe down machines after use despite bottles of antibac available
5. Machine Hogging - can't believe this continues to happen! Why do members literally sit and read their phones before repeating reps?
6. No members of staff available on gym floor.
Above all staff and members are friendly. Hope above is useful!

Your comments about the ladies’ toilet cleanliness and soap availability, the out-of-service machines, and the lack of antibacterial wipes are very important to us. Really nice pool to use
The pool and pool changing area etc, being new compared to many centres, is a pleasure to use - only thing is it’s popular for a small pool.
I also enjoy the playlist - such random and often great songs - really curious who picks them! (The Ting Tings? Deep cuts)
Bit frustrating the WiFi doesn’t work as loading your barcode is trickier.
Also the ladies’ loos can often be neglected - out of paper or soap etc

Good instructors, facilities not amazing
I had very good time during my Saturday class with Rosemary. However they are going to discontinue this class. Some people can only workout properly on a weekend and instead of increasing number of classes, you even want to reduce them?
Please change filters of water dispensers, they are worn out ( red light ) since weeks now.

Aurora is the Best Coach …
Aurora is the Best Coach I was very tired and stressed but when she did the class. She manage to help to go through it. I love the way she is on point with breath and movement . How she cares about avoiding injuries. Please we need her during the week. I can't make it on sunday
