I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the facilities all round. Very clean and modern. The staff were the highlight for me. So polite and friendly and really helpful. As I am returning to fitness after some time away from exercise it made the process much less intimidating.

Overall a great gym
Overall a great gym. Needs another fitness studio to run more classes because it’s always a bit of a bun fight to get a space in class.
Most of the staff are helpful and friendly. Fitness instructors, apart from one, are brilliant.
It’s a bit spit and sawdust but you get what you pay for.

It’s particularly concerning to hear your comments about the behaviour of the lifeguards, as we expect all staff to be welcoming, supportive, and especially helpful to new members. We’re also disappointed to hear about the condition of the changing rooms and pool areas. Cleanliness and maintenance are extremely important to us, and the issues you’ve described, including odour, blocked drains, and water quality, are not the standards we aim to provide. The teacher is very old
The teacher is very old, not able or extremely slow to explain the exercises to swimmers. They can’t hear, what the teacher wants to say, hence they tend to ignore her and try to copy other swimmers.
Simply put, she is not good fit for this role any more and we as parents, would like to see more energetic teachers around our children, who are able to actively fill the 30mins with valued exercises, what we pay for.

Easy join and book sessions. Good quality gym equipment and nice Olympic sized pool - Robinson Pool and Fitness. The only thing letting it down is maintenance - cold changing rooms and cleaning could be better.

Very misleading
Very misleading, membership states that it is £6 a month for a junior membership.
It does not advise there is a £10 additional charge for EACH session used on top of this and a £10 charge for an induction.

This agreement offers 1 free booking a month and up to 30% off on other bookings.
To have the Junior Gym, Swimming, and Junior Fitness Classes included in your monthly payment, you'd need to take out a full Membership, which is currently £25.00.

The staff in the gym are friendly.
The code for the gym is not easy to get. You have to wait for staff to tell you the code. The toilets downstairs do not work properly and they appear dirty.

❗ Bad Review – Robinson Pool & Fitness Bedford
My 10-year-old daughter has had a swimming membership at Robinson Pool & Fitness Bedford for 2 years, but in the last year we have become extremely disappointed with the management and the conditions of the centre.
First of all, they do not have enough staff for all the children. Many times, the kids are left alone in the pool without proper supervision, and time goes by without them learning anything. It is frustrating to pay for a membership and see no progress because of poor organisation.
The changing rooms where the children get dressed are in terrible condition: dirty, with food leftovers, hair all over the place, and dirty floors. Nobody seems to clean them properly, even though a children’s swimming facility should be hygienic and safe.
The area where the children take a shower after swimming is a disaster as well: dirty, messy, and the drain is always blocked, so the kids end up standing in dirty water. This is unacceptable for a centre that claims to maintain standards.
On top of that, they never have swimming caps available for the kids. Every time I ask at reception, I get the same answer: “We are waiting for stock, we are waiting for stock.” The same excuse for months.
After everything we’ve experienced over the past year, I do not recommend this swimming pool.

Nice & quiet but some equipment needs replacing
I really like going to this gym, it’s never too busy and I don’t mind it doesn’t have a huge number of machines - it has enough. However a couple of the machines are in desperate need of maintenance or replacement. The adductor press is rusty and really wobbly, and the seat adjustment on the leg press gets jammed a lot.
