Friendly and clean!
I love the fact that the Better gym at New Barnet us always immaculately clean. The staff are wonderful, particularly Ozzie and Jason in the gym.

Teachers are not paying attention and…
Teachers are not paying attention and correcting students. The class is too crowded.
I have 2 boys swimming in the Barnet Leisure Center for more than 2 years. The only reason we are still here is it's local for us.
There are always ~20 students in a class, the teachers either chat with each other or just walk around. My children are also not happy as their progress is very slow and they are not sure what they need to improve, no feedback or correction from teachers. It's like they are in free swimming.
I gave feedback to the centre once but nothing improved. We are thinking of changing to another centre as don't want to waste time here.

You need to register your car two days in advance to park for free
Staff very helpful, easy instructions, i did the online registration for my membership and the parking, everything was smooth

Not great
Update: I'm not satisfied with the response from Better. The apologee is pointless without a plan to resolve the issues I've reported. I'll be leaving Better and joining the nearby Charge Up gym that offers much better facilities for boxing and martial arts.
There are specific staff members who have an issue with the usage of the light boxing bag. They either won't or can't tell me why it can't be used. Strangely other members of the team are quite happy for it to be used. The bag has now been removed completely and in it's place I'm expected to use the heavy bag which is so compact it's injuring me. I've got cuts on my shins from the hardness (I am worried about risk of infection), and pain in my elbows and shoulders from the impact. I've reported it as an issue numerous times but the message isn't reaching management or they don't care. There are some really pleasant employees here who are as baffled by the behaviour of their colleagues as I am.

It's OK
Like - facilities largely clean and equipment seems in good order.
Dislike -
- the app is not user friendly at all difficult to navigate and see your bookings
- the waiting list system for classes is not fair and adds to the stress of getting into a class - by the time you see the email that a place has become available it's already been taken. Places on waiting list should be organised by order of registering and when places become available the first in line in the waiting list should get the place and so forth.

Lovely Leisure centre
Lovely Leisure centre, local to where I live, in walking distance. My only issue is, the current in the swimming pool is very strong! Its like swimming in the sea, the current is so strong compared to other swimming pools. I dont know if they can adjust this or turn it down. Other than that, its a very nice leisure centre.
