Better - Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium Anmeldelser 

For us local residents the noise abuse from your P.A system is ridiculous.
Your music and people shouting down a microphone is way too loud !

Offer a lot of facilities but the swimming pool showers and changing rooms are filthy. A child had done an poo in one of the showers I tried to use. Also a lot of people who cannot swim holding up lane swimmers or sitting on the edge of the pool soaking themselves or shouting at top volume. Suggest non serious swimmers have a lane to splash about or stand around in. Lifeguard did ask them to behave but they just ignored requests.

Events at the Stadium are very noisy and disturbing for local residents. Tonnes of trash left in Mile End park and traffic grid locked when there are events. Great to use the Stadium but please consider residents with regard to unacceptable loud noise from blaring speakers and making our area dirty with traffic and trash.

I don't understand everytime I'm trying to find mile end leisure centre on my better app so I can attend there its not showing.
Can anyone help me to be able to attend mile end leisure centre for my better membership

Really struggling to find an excuse for the existence of this gym anymore. Prices increased again to £42 per month, majority of the equipment is either faulty or broken for weeks at a time. The cleaning is abysmal, I pay an extra £4.60 per session to use the track and the toilets are brown, dirty and foul. Takes weeks or months for the staff to change the filter on the water fountains. Lanes at the pool are too narrow for more than one person to use. Sauna out of action for months. The women’s gym has one large functional mat and barely any space for free weight work outs, a number of treadmills are either broken or not even plugged in. Whole place is a total joke. Today we had one small toilet roll to serve 4 women’s toilets, and the other toilets were completely locked.

Great location and a friendly atmosphere.

I reguarly go swimming at 8am in the morning at the weekends or 6.30am weekdays. Nine times out of then the lights are not on in the womens toilets when I get out. Each time I complain and everyone acts all surprised. Surely I am not the only one to complain about this. Why is this happening, it is so frustrating. One toilet near the womens gym has been out of action for months with a sign saying "under repair" or similar. How long does it take to fix these things. Other toilet doors do not shut properly or at all as well as one shower door (first as you come out of the pool). Toilets often have no toilet paper despite it being first thing in the morning. The water sprays out of the tap on an angle in the hand basin making one saturated. I often see staff standing around chatting to each other near the entrance and I think rather than stan there, go and top p the toilet paper or turn the lights on. The swimming changing rooms and womens on that side are very run down. Very poor maintenance and hygiene.

My son wont be going back to mile end for swim lessons the staff have no regard for children that are a bit fearful of dunking their heads under water in the pool. Or integrating them back into the class not surprised aquatics centre were worse

I really like the gym plenty space and equipment friendly staff and a nice atmosphere I would recommend it to anyone who asked

The equipment is good quality and new. The ambient it's great.

When taking out the membership I was told I could have access to the sauna and steam room facility so I took out the corporate membership. Since joining I have not once been able to book the facility once. I was told to try at 10pm, so I did and still it was booked. I made a complaint to the centre and was advised many members make multiple bookings but only attend one of the bookings, and there is nothing they can do about it. My complaint went further and I was advised I would get a call back from the general manager Harry but it’s been two days and still no response.
I’m disgusted with the service I have received and will not recommend anyone to join the Mile End Better gym. The customer rep who emailed me to say there’s nothing they can do is responding to this review below 👇 Amir you must have a bad memory or that many people complain that you can’t tell who this is. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

The coaches are great. The children get to do variety of activities during thebone hour session. Very happy with the classes.

Unfortunately it was a parking notice I should not have got as I paid for the parking at the leisure centre. the manager wasn't available when I visited the leisure centre on the 25.10.23, but the staff did give me an email to contact and talk to someone in Better UK, a guy who said he will pass my email on to the relevant person i.e. manager or customer support. He tried phoning the manager whilst I was on the phone, no answer. The customer service team have been helpful once I went through Resolver, as I had no communication from my previous enquiry from Better. Going through Resolver got me the answers I was looking for from Better Customer Service which was good. I do think if the centre manager had been available my concerns could have been dealt with quicker and resolved sooner. Customer service was good in the end but not sure if they actually got involved with the problem or kept a record of my issue. I didn't get a definitive answer on whether any action was going to be taken on their part. I hope they did as I received an email from the parking people stating it was their error and the notice had been cancelled, So thank you customer service for your support and anyone else that helped.

Great staff - helpful and nice

Very easy to register and book lesson online. Wide variety of times available to choose from. Great swimming teachers. Paul was great at settling my child in.

Staff are very helpful and pleasant my score reflects the Swim changing rooms not being clean enough and smell of urine particularly toilets. Lockers don’t always work and take money and not lock. Can’t get booked on fitness classes first time and go on waiting list, receive a message to book but space is already gone. A fairer system needs to be in place.

It was our first swim lesson and we loved it!! The teacher was informative and fun. Just the right mix of teaching skills, but also just playing in the water. We can't wait for next week.

Very nice and helpful staff, great variety of activities to choose from for a great price. So far I’m really satisfied!
