I called it
I called it. Had hell getting my money back on a transmission they promised to send but were waiting for parts. After searching their address it was a garage on a house and their customer service was a paid answering service. They were removing their names from LLC filings and Im almost sure bankruptcy is near. If you have a warranty, you're out of luck.

I have provided Best Buy Transmission with all the documents they requested to warranty my transmission and I got 0 response. I don't believe this company is a legitimate company. If they were, they would have responded to me via email. I have been waiting for 3 weeks!

I purchased a transmission back in 2022. It is under a five year warranty. I now need the use of that warranty and the company has blocked my number. I activated the warranty on October 3, 2025. And I have been ghosted ever since this is a warning to all consumers. Do not buy a transmission from bestbuytransmission.com. They do not honor warranties and the transmissions don’t even last more than a couple years. They are only there to take your money and run and produce Shawty Work in the process.
Been a bad trip
Been a bad trip. They will not answer their phone. Took my my have not received my transmission. I read the the reviews too late. Been calling for 4 weeks now. I guess I try to report them for wire fraud.

I ordered and paid for a 48RE transmission. I also sent them a good 48RE core. However, they sent me a 47RE transmission and wouldn't return any emails or phone calls. Total scam company.

Fraud and false advertisement
This warranty they speak so highly of is a scam!! I bought a transmission from them and the dealership I had programming it told me it was junk. Sent it back got a new one, that one was junk, sent that back and finally got one that would work. They assured us after we paid the bill in full to have the dealership do all this we would be reimbursed 100 percent but a year later have received absolutely nothing for reimbursements. They completely ghosted us and will not return phone calls or emails. I absolutely can not believe these guys are still in business with the fraud and false advertising they promote. Sounds like a decent deal but hind sight is definitely 20/20 and I would absolutely NEVER buy from this company again. I am in the process of getting a lawyer to try and recoop a fraction of the money my business had wrapped up into trying to get a working transmission in my company truck that was at the shop for 10 months. I trusted them with their word and email they sent us assuring they would cover the costs. If I knew this was the way they treated their customers I would’ve sent the first one back and went else where.

many people does nto respect cars trucks and other units . get drink have lots of beers do things they are not suppose to do .. and think it will hold up... no one talks what is really wrong . with it....

Do not buy from them!! My truck has been in the shop over a month waiting on their warranty service. After installing, it lasted a full 2000 miles before it started messing up. Now they are doing everything they can to get out of fixing it. They are absolutely horrible.

They tote their 5 yr warranty
"Having one of the industries longest warranties is great, however, standing behind it is where we really like to shine."
But don't believe the BS, because when I comes down to it and you need the warranty, (which you will) They will just lead you on and on, phone call after phone call. Now to be fair, they are very nice on the phone and they tell you all things you want to hear to get you to hang up. They will say "We will handle this" and "we're working on it we speak" but in the end, NOTHING. All you get is empty promises and a broken transmission
For some context. I submitted a claim over 6 weeks ago, I filled out their warranty form and submitted all supporting document and pictures they ask for. I didn't hear back for 5 days, so I called and I spoke with Taylor on the phone and he assured me my claim is legitimate and they should replace my transmission under warranty. He also told me I would receive a phone call from the warranty department that day, but nothing! I called 15 times over the next 4-5 days and nobody answered, then I finally got Denette on the phone (she's in sales) again very nice lady, told me she would escalate my claim and Taylor should call me back that day. but again silence.. I continued to call every day and no answer, finally got a lady named Kathy on the phone and she assured me again that she would be getting in touch with Taylor and I would be hearing back. but here we are 7 weeks in and not a single phone call or advancement on my claim. So now I have a $3500 paperweight in my truck.
Their customer service is terrible, and leading customer on and lying to them is unacceptable.
Reliable transmissions
I've bought two transmissions from this company in the past couple of years. Both are working great, I haven't had any problems with either of them. My experience has been positive, and I'd definitely recommend to my friends and family.

As a company that has purchased multiple transmissions from Best Buy Transmissions, we are extremely disappointed with their handling of a recent warranty claim. We trusted them as a supplier for our business, believing their advertised warranty would provide peace of mind for us and our customers. Unfortunately, when we encountered an issue with one of their transmissions and filed a warranty claim, they denied it without fair consideration or a clear explanation.
The lack of communication and clarity throughout this process has been incredibly frustrating. It is nearly impossible to know who we are speaking with, as there seems to be no consistency or identity in terms of their representatives. The responses we received were vague and unhelpful, making it clear that resolving our issue was not a priority for them.
Despite our loyalty as repeat customers and our efforts to follow their guidelines, including providing all necessary documentation, they refused to stand behind their product. Their dismissive and evasive approach feels like an intentional effort to avoid responsibility. This has left us no choice but to pursue legal action to recover our losses.
As a business, we rely on our suppliers to be reliable and honor their commitments. This experience has completely eroded our trust in Best Buy Transmissions, and we strongly advise others to avoid working with a company that fails to communicate, deliver on their promises, or take accountability for their products.
Not the customer service I’d hoped for.
Bought a transmission in 2021 after choosing this place for the good reviews and warranty option. Here it is 2024 and needing warranty replacement, and can’t even get anyone to answer the phone. Was told days ago I’d have a call back. I haven’t gotten a call back or an email. No extensions work to get to a live rep. No chat option online. Need better phone customer service.
What happened to their great customer service?
I have dealt with BBT before with great prompt service. I simply called and talked to Kathy this morning to see if she could find out if my warranty was still good. (as I have in the past with other reps). she told me someone would call. at 2:30 I called back. She told me she emailed me a form. Not true.She then emails and I receive it while I'm at computer. Since I couldn't find previous paper work I simply wanted any info on my mileage etc. from 2021. She came across evasive and wanted me to tell her my mileage. I preferred her to just send me a copy of my warranty info on vehicle to protect myself. finally I just gave her my mileage and by a miracle she immediately knew my previous mileage. of course it was over the warranty limit. Maybe it is. But why did she have to go back and forth and argue when all I wanted was my previous info? I will never know if it was accurate info (and could have with an email). why did she not want to share that? poor customer service. guys in the past were great and prompt and shared info with no problems. if she would have sent me or told me my info as I asked and I would have seen warranty was no longer valid I would have bought another one on the spot no questions. But this really came across shady. No longer a customer.
Worked flawlessly
No issues with them at all, I ordered my 4L60 transmission Dec 2020 replaced it myself, no issues and has worked flawless and we are at 2024 now, Getting ready to try another one for a newer truck which now is having issues. I’m sure Best Buy will treat me right.

These guys are the real deal! Ordering process was a breeze and customer service was on point. Purchased the transmission Feb. '24, installed it a few days later and it hasn't skipped a beat. Works great. -Highly recommend Best buy transmission.

this is not a 5-star company... it is a10-star company!!!!! ordered a transmission on monday and it arrived a few days later on thursday!!! are you kidding me you can't send a letter threw the mail that fast!!! also used this company before for another vehicle a couple years ago and that transmission is still working perfect!!! i have never left a review on anything but this purchase i couldn't resist...!!!!
AVOID THIS COMPANY THEIR WARRANTY IS A JOKE
Stopped dealing with this company as they will sell you a transmission at a decent price but god help you if you have a warranty claim. They pay $350 total labor to have the transmission replaced and if you did not by the trans fluid from them you are stuck with that bill as you customer is expecting this to be done for free. With everything that needs to be done it is an 8 hour job. You have to get one of your techs to come in after hours to make this work as tying up a lift for a day when you minimum labor rate is $169, and hour is a losing proposition for a shop owner. You want to keep your customer happy and not charge them the difference, so you have to pay your tech O/T to do the repair. Communicating with them is another issue good luck as you always have to leave a message. The only person that answers is the core returns, and she is less than friendly. Also, the timeline is once you file a claim and finally get the replacement trans and then install it the core has to be returned for them to send out the labor check. So, from start to finish it will be @ 2 months to get your $$$$. Plus, if you have any issues with their transmissions, you are on your own. I had a customer that i installed an oversized trans cooler to help with the overweight Dodge High Top van he was hauling products in to keep his trans in good operating order. Guess what the transmission failed, and I simply asked them to write a letter stating the benefits of having an oversized trans cooler with this type of application. The customer was out of town and took it to a dealer who of course said you always use OEM and I got sued for $4,400 and the judge told me because the transmission company would not provide some kind of backup the was going with the dealer's recommendation and I got stuck with the bill to R&R the transmission. AGAIN AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THEIR WARRANTY IS A JOKE AND IF YOU NEED ANYTHING FROM THEM TO COVER YOU THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!
