Great service from start to finish. Kelly at their Gildersome store was brilliant and spent a huge amount of time with us and was so patient.
After that, the email and text coms were just right and the ability to change the delivery date when our other works ran over was important.
And finally the delivery guys. We’ve had various different teams doing our new bedroom; some just seemed to think everything was a problem and to complain; not the Bensons delivery guys; they were quite the reverse two blokes enjoying their job. Nothing was too much for them. This just rounded off an excellent customer experience. Please pass on our thanks.

My husband and I returned to Bensons at Junction 27 after 9 years of purchasing our last bed. We found our experience first class yet again. We were greeted by Craig who also saw us 9 years previously! He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and we would highly recommend you seek him out to discuss anything bedwise. He took lots of time with us choosing our new mattress and having recieved this exactly as promised are again very happy with purchasing and our visit to Bensons. Delivery was on time efficient and the gentleman, Adam and Paul polite and careful.

This has been an extremely frustrating experience from start to finish. My partner and I spent over £2,500 on a bed and mattress, only to wait seven weeks for delivery. When the bed finally arrived, it was faulty. After reporting the issue, we then had to wait a further five weeks just to receive a response. During this time, we were left without a proper resolution and felt forced to escalate the matter through the credit provider due to the lack of support. When bensons for beds eventually got back to us, no meaningful solution was provided. Instead, we were offered £100 in vouchers, which is wholly inadequate given the amount spent, especially considering that most items in the store exceed this value, making the vouchers impractical. Overall, the combination of excessive delays, poor communication, and failure to properly resolve a clear fault reflects very badly on the company’s customer service. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before purchasing from them.

Had a great experience thanks to Kelly, who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and informative. She explained everything clearly and helped my partner and I find the perfect mattress. Excellent customer service, highly recommend!

Bought our Mattress from Benson for beds in Birstall. Kelly the sales lady was absolutely wonderful. She showed me how to use the machine that helps you decide the best mattress for your sleep position. She showed me all the ones recommended and let me have time to try them all. She also showed me other ones I may like. I never felt rushed or pushed into buying something. I got a great deal on the mattress I felt most comfortable on. Thank you Kelly and Bensons for Beds.

This is my second review regarding Bensons for Beds (Unit 8a, Birstall Shopping Park, Leeds WF17 9DT), and unfortunately the situation has only become worse.

I strongly urge anyone considering purchasing from this company — especially from this store — to think very carefully before doing so.

Since 11 March, I have received no resolution, no refund, and no meaningful communication. There have been no calls, no clear updates, and no accountability from the company.

What is particularly concerning is my experience in-store. Despite being fully aware of the situation, the store manager processed a 20% deduction in the system as a return. However, this was not a standard delivery or accepted order — the goods were not accepted and were returned immediately at the point of delivery.

Under these circumstances, applying a 20% deduction is completely unreasonable and does not reflect what any customer would fairly expect.

It is also extremely difficult to contact anyone who can actually resolve the issue. Head office appears inaccessible, email communication is ineffective, and customer support does not provide real assistance.

The total order value was £6,700, and attempting to deduct 20% in this situation feels excessive and unjustified.

Customers are not properly informed about these risks, and it gives the impression that significant amounts of money are being withheld unfairly when issues arise.

If you do not want to risk being left in a similar situation, I strongly advise against making purchases from this store.
