Staff were helpful, spent time with us to ensure we got the mattress type that we wanted. Unfortunately when it came to ordering they check listed our requirement as a 'small double' in the invoice it was only listed by size (120 which I now know to be a 'small double' ), but I assumed they had ordered what I had asked for (double). I am a heavyset woman and its fairly clear a small double would be too small. Come delivery day the mattress arrives and its clear its smaller than we thought we had ordered, we contact the store who tell us we must contact the Head Office, contact Head office who ultimately tell us that they cannot tell the store what to do in this instance. Result to get me the double I requested I must pay a further 10%, am looking into the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman though it seems sledgehammer to crack a nut when simple customer service would have them replacing it, especially since it turns out both sizes are the same cost!

Everything from point of sale to delivery and assembly couldn’t have been better.
The two guys who delivered and assembled the bed were great, unfortunately I can only remember one of their names which was Mark. They clearly work together frequently and make a great team. They were very careful, ensuring nothing was damaged as they carried the bed up a awkward staircase. Would highly recommended the company and these two guys who are a definite 10/10.

Delivery team were happy to carry the mattreses 100yrds, from the road as they had not been allocated a small van and we have restricted access.

Whole experience was made very easy from knowledgeable salesperson to helpful and considerate delivery men, also emails to keep informed on progress and delivery times.

Excellent customer service all throughout. From order to delivery, can't fault it. This is the kind of consumer experience that should be everywhere.

This was my first purchase from Bensons Beds. The staff at the store listened carefully to my requirements and were very helpful without being overly pushy to make a sale. We were treated with respect and good customer care. The delivery went well with the bed fully assembled with care. (electric bed). Would use this company again.

The service from Benson's was first class from start to finish. In the showroom, Connor was pleasant but respectful and very competent. We had simply gone in to have a look around, but he sold us a bed!
Likewise, the delivery crew were very pleasant and finished the job of assembly quickly, but very well.

Perfectly happy with the experience, brilliant service in delivery and putting in right room, would revisit in the future.

Staff very friendly so made ordering in store relatively easy.
Delivery guys were excellent, on time sending txts previously with time of arrival so all went to plan. No mess to clear afterwards which was great. Would recommend the store again.

I made a mattress purchase at Bensons (Huntingdon)some years ago and recently returned to purchase a replacement as I'd recalled having decent service and a none problematic delivery with my last purchase. I remember the representative who served me being helpful and not at all pushy.
Unfortunately, I can not say the same for my most recent experience. I was greeted by a sales representative on entry, I'd explained to him that I'd like to buy a new mattress, and what my preferences were. While showing me around, he selected a pillow that he had thought I must try (not asked for). I settled on a mattress, we went to process the purchase, which I had decided to make by finance. I was then asked about the pillow, the representative also casually mentioned that it was quite costly. Honestly, I'd felt a bit put on and ambushed, since at no point had I asked to be shown pillows. But since I was already making a finance agreement, I thought why not, and allowed him to add two such pillows to my purchase. He explained the mattress guard policy and purchasing terms of the mattress in detail, but not once mentioned Bensons policy of no returns on Pillows and stuffed items. We set up the finance, and delivery date, were he chose to send the pillows out with the mattress, rather than giving me them in store to take home. The representative left me to finalize, which I chose to do in store incase there were problems or I'd further questions. He did not return, leaving me to ask other representatives in store if my purchase was complete and if I could leave. At the time, it had felt as if there was no interest in maintaining good service, since the money was made.
I'd received various automated emails leading up to my delivery date, none of which communicated any problems with my delivery, which I was encouraged by. However, on the delivery date, my mattress arrived without pillows, they were not on the drivers order. I called the store to find out what had happened, where it was explained to me that the pillows were out of stock at the time the delivery was shipped, but they were already out with another courier and I could expect them later in the week. Since I had no prior notification of this, I found it odd, and asked if there was any tracking information to confirm this. The gentleman I spoke to said this would not be available to them in store, and directed me to customer services. It took around 30 mins to connect to a customer service agent, who informed me that no such delivery was to be expected as mentioned by the store, since the items were out of stock at the warehouse, however, if the store had stock, that they should just simply be able to give me the missing items and sort the internal logistics of that out after the fact. I called the store to arrange this, but instead of simply doing it, the representative proceeded to explain to me the difficulties he would face doing this due to internal systems and processes and that he would need a day or two to process this. Since the items where costly and that I had already been miss informed once, I could not settle for this and informed him that I could call customer service to see if things can't be escalated and resolved on the same day. When, I managed to connect to a customer service agent (another 30 min wait), they were quite confused by the stores push back and reiterated that I should just simply be able to go to the store and have them give me the goods. I did just that, were the sales rep again greeted me, explained that he wasn't quite done with the internal process, but had resolved that I would leave the building goods in hand regardless, as if he were doing me a favor by that. I received the goods, thanked him and left. By the time I got home, I'd decided that I was so fed up by the experience that I no longer wanted to keep the pillows, especially since I'd felt them miss sold and pressed upon me in the first place. I again called customer services, explained my situation, who allowed me to return the goods to the store out of good will. I was not able to return the goods in person, but my representative informed me that when attempting to return the pillows that the store met them with resistance, despite her mentioning that it was already discussed with customer services. The store had originally refused, citing it's returned goods policy towards pillows, then mentioned how it would affect my finance and protection plan, before conceding and agreeing to do what was already arranged, again as if it was a favor. I will not be using them again, it's marred my feelings of my entire purchase, and made me feel quite taken back about it. Every opportunity to simply do the right thing as bare minimum was missed and only resolved at my inconvenience whist being met with push back.
