First time in four years I have been able to return to Bayfields owing to having had various eye operations.
I was very impressed with the new layout in the shop. Being early for my appointment I was offered a hot drink while I waited, so what’s not to like with service like that.
My time there from booking in with a friendly receptionist to seeing Mr Quinn the optician who was great, friendly and very patient.
Then I saw Stephanie who was brilliant, her help was invaluable when choosing frames and the type of lens, talking me through each stage and checking I was happy with everything. She is very professional but at the same time it felt like chatting to a friend.
I would highly recommend using Bayfields for their fantastic service from start to finish.

Very professional team of people, both the optician and the technician

Asked for my prescription to be emailed, I was told it would be with me within 2/3 minutes.

Email never arrived.

Then I asked them to email to another email address of mine.

Email never arrived, still waiting.

Then later that day I started to receive promotional junk mail from Bayfield to the second email address I gave over to them for them to email me my prescription too.

Still waiting for email with my prescription.

The so called head office has a phone number Tel: 01274 619 318.

They never answer the phone. You could try day after day for your whole entire life and they will never answer your phone call.

There is no head office email address.

I was looking at a some spec's by Persol when they supplied them and I then looked at the brands website and the spec's that I was investigating were cheaper on the brands website and that was at full RRP and when I brought this issue up with Bayfields I was presented with a shocking answer and the answer was, WE HAVE TO MAKE A PROFIT SOMEHOW.

After reading other good reviews I chose Bayfields for my hearing test. Anisah gave a detailed hearing test and explanation of my hearing aid options. I found her very helpful and professional enabling me to have confidence in her advice. Though perhaps a little bit more expensive than others it is worth it for comprehensive aftercare care and service.

The eye test and examination was detailed and i was carried along.

We were concerned when Bayfields took over the optician’s we had been loyal to for many years. At first we were unsure but after our last visit we are impressed with the experience. The team were very professional .

Eye examination and test conducted in professional and friendly way . Selection of new spectacles helped in a patient and friendly way . I have seen these two staff several times before and always find them helpful .

Very good experience. I booked in for a sight test, which was very thorough and detailed, and then chose a new pair of frames. Both the optician and the assistant who helped me choose my new glasses were very friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was not rushed. The customer service was excellent.

My new glasses arrived before the expected date, which was a nice surprise, and they were absolutely perfect. My prescription is for varifocials, and it’s not always the case that they are 100% right, straight from the lab, but these are absolutely spot on.

Whilst the glasses probably weren’t the cheapest I could have found, I’m absolutely delighted with them, and also the service I was given, and this is why I’m a returning Bayfields customer.
