Having been with Bayfields now for over 10-years I can truly say that the service I’ve received over the years has been exceptional. Every member of staff has always taken their time to explain everything in clear, precise and full detail and having previously experienced many other opticians, can honestly say that I have never had a more thorough eye examination than I have received at Bayfield. I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Despite complications, Laura Crane dealt with all issues competently.

Laura and Evie were patient and explained all I asked with my vision and hearing.

I had a very detailed and comprehensive NHS eye examination with the results explained clearly, with time made available to ask questions - highly recommended.

Laura was very thorough and helpful in deteting a problem following my cataract operation. She is so good.

I had my ear syringed as I had a build up of wax which was causing pain. The lady did the procedure which was quite painful. After she looked at my ear drum and said all was fine. She showed me photos of before and after and it did look red to me.
Later my eye pain got worse and I ended up at Halifax ooh appointment to see a doctor.
The doctor said I had an ear infection that was behind the wax. He said my ear was red and there was a discharge. I had to have AB drops and tablets.
The doctor said that the audiologist should have alerted me to the infection and it was clear that it was infected. Luckily I have medical knowledge but someone else may have left it without treatment.
If Bayfields are offering these services then they should be professional and be able to give the appropriate advice and after care.
I’m highlighting so this doesn’t happen again to anyone having the procedure done.

The team are all really friendly, helpful and very professional. There is a good range of glasses to choose from.
There is also a referral scheme with a good incentive if you recommend a new customer to them.
The location is easily accessible and whilst it is busy in the area there is usually limited parking nearby.

The OCT eye scan was great and Laura was excellent.
However, your system had incorrect GP details resulting in you writing to the wrong practice.
When I rang to advise you of this I was told it must have been me who gave that information originally. That’s nonsense.
Easier for you to accept responsibility and apologise then we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
