Fraudulent activity on account
I became aware of two large payments on my account (in the thousands), as I received notification that one would go over my limit and couldn't go through.
The service from the fraud department is less than reassuring. They can't give me any information about these, didn't initially give me a reference number and the call centre staff attitude is dismissive, bordering on rude.
They let the one payment go through, even though I called them in less than an hour of it being made, and it shoeing as being made at a later time in the app. I've been with them for a good number of c years, but will be closing my account once this is sorted.
Bricklayers day they monitor for suspicious activity. In my recollection I've only used this card for balance transfers, so why wasn't this flagged.

Today I spoke with swarani regarding my issue and concerns with my Barclaycard.
She was extremely professional and helpful in reassuring my concerns and totally made me feel at ease.
I would highly recommend this person be retained and promoted to a very high role in the company as her intelligence and understanding of professionalism was remarkable.

3 week timeline to fix balance transfer mistake
I had a dreadful experience with Barclaycard. Santander mistakenly took my balance transfer twice, They put a request into Barclaycard to ask for it back within 48 hrs. Barclaycard are saying it takes them over 3 weeks to resolve this even though they have confirmed receipt of the request from Santander. They can process balance transfers within 48 hrs why so long to rectify a mistake.

Barclaycard refunded my dispute, then months later took the money back without telling me. This pushed my account over limit and caused penalties and credit impact.
This is careless and unfair. A bank should not make a decision, let a customer rely on it, then reverse it later with no notice.
The delay also prevented me from taking further action against the retailer. I’ve been left financially worse off because of Barclaycard’s handling.
Very poor customer protection. Very disappointing.

As there is a big fraud involving Barclaycard India
Basically it started after I accidently made two payments instead of one in July 2025
My bank resolved the issue and Barclaycard refunded the second payment
Issue closed (So I thought)
However I kept getting payment reversals and Barclaycard saying that I still owed them the payment
I got the Ombudsman involved as I was going around in circles and getting no answers
The issue was sorted finally in September 2025 with their help
The October statement was correct
The November statement was correct
The December statement was correct but on December 30th after the UK packed up for New Year
I had another payment reversal
I got in touch with the Ombudsman again on Jan 5th 2026 as Barclaycard still said i owed them the money
The case is still ongoing in spite of the Ombudsman upholding my complaint and Barclaycard still refusing to acknowledge they are wrong
I have been with Barclaycard for over 40 years so you would think that they would treat me well as a loyal customer but no they have treated me like rubbish
They are a very corrupt company now

Do not get a Barclaycard (even for the Avios) as it's not worth the pain
Only took out this card for the Avios but it's not worth it and I am about to cancel it. The app is dreadful - it displays really random spending 'categories' (who cares??) yet you can't even see your true balance properly as they don't show credits so you have no idea if something you have returned has been refunded or not. Plus it's impossible to speak to anyone. I will be returning to MBNA as their service is excellent.

Pathetic Customer Serivce
I have been a customer of the Barclays JetBlue. My card has been shut off three times in the last three months due to their security systems. One time, I had to have a new card issued, not because of any payment issues, but because they seemed to think there was fraud. There was not. This was over a $12 charge. I called Barclays, have been on the phone for 1/2 hour, and have been transferred to multiple people. I have reached the point where I want to cancel my card, and now I have been transferred to yet another person. This has left me on hold for 4 minutes. Whatever you do, skip the Barclays JetBlue Card. The customer service is really a joke.

You now have to enter all of the card details, each and every time you want to make payment including your full name.

If I could rate 0 I would. Of all corporate card providers I have used over my 25+ years of working life, Barclaycard is by VERY far the worst. Card not delivered in time, +1 month delay. All other providers I used managed to deliver in days. Had to spend hours in total on phone with Barclaycard's customer service to get my card working for online purchases required for my profession. Online customer portal looks and performs like something an amateur designed in the mid 1990's. Barclaycard offers no advantage whatsoever over competitors, just disadvantages and offering subpar performance. I am actively pushing for my employer to switch to other provider. Stay away from this card!

No support for fraud victim
I received a letter saying my limit was being reduced from £5000 to £450. I immediately contacted barclays confused as I had settled my bill weeks before. The guy explained my credit file shows I applied for a £1000 loan via Vuelo financial services in Dec and no payments have been. I was told i need to contact the credit agency. Of course I hadn't taken this loan it appears Vuelo paid this loan to someone who didn't even spell my name properly. You would think you could talk to someone in Barclays fraud team to explain what had happened. No you call and get a worker abroad who puts you on hold whilst they talk amongst themselves. Not even the app has the facility to send an email. On top of this all, when i contacted Vuelo financial service i had verify my identity and take photos before they would talk to me and was then told it takes up 35 days and the are unable to tell me anything.

Pulled every trick you could imagine
Difficult to fully explain how uncooperative and underhand Barclaycard Disputes are.
I have an ongoing Section 75 dispute with them and they have pulled every trick you could imagine to get out of their legal obligations. It is an open and shut case. So far they dragged it out for 5 months, with increasingly complicated proofs required and shorter and shorter timeframes (for me not them) to achieve them. At this point they owe me another £245 for the expert report they demanded I get and said they would refund, but then proceeded to debit it from account. Next stop the Ombudsman just waiting for the 8 weeks now to pass having made a formal complaint.

Shocking Service
My initial Credit limit was too low. Initially I was told wait three months, and a review will be possible. After this time a letter with an offer for an increase the credit was sent. I applied even though this proposal was less than half my previous card. The application was then rejected! A complaint failed to reveal the root cause which I now believe was a typo on salary. The arrogance, bias, and sheer disregard of a customers needs and information was shocking. I moved my account for more cash back, better credit limit, and a better account app. Wake up Barclays you are not alone!

I had an issue with my bank card
I had an issue with my bank card. Couldn’t understand the word they were talking about really bad English didn’t sort the problem out. Couldn’t transfer me to anybody. Absolutely waste of time.

If it was possible to leave no stars I would have done so. This is in addition to my previous review when I was supplied with a 'Contact us' link in response to my complaint. This sends one on a loop. The link to the 'contact us' page suggests using the chat function on the app (doesn't work), Phone.......yet again. Message says "We've fewer colleagues to speak to you in our contact centres at the moment, which is having an impact on call wait times - we're truly sorry about this. If you need to get in touch, please visit our contact us page". You can see where I am going with this. It's an absolute farce and if I wasn't determined to get the incentives that prompted me to get the card in the first place, I would give up......But I won't

Utterly hopeless customer support
Had a Barclaycard for well over 20 years and although transactions with the card are simple (automated so no human interference), the few times you need support it's completely non-existent. For example, I had 3 debit cards saved for payments on the app. This month they have all disappeared. No option to re-add them so logged onto the website. Again, no option. Clicked on 'help', but again completely useless. Tried their comical ‘chat’, but after 2 minutes of bot convo – SURPRISE, no one available. I now must call these lot, go through all the security for something so trivial and basic.
I always get the feeling banks find interaction with customers below them, and we are just an annoyance. We should be grateful we give them our money. Maybe why all my other banking is with building societies.

Impossible to register PoA
Impossible to register PoA. I have Power of Attorney for my father, yet despite multiple calls, online registration and a visit to a Barclays branch, it has been impossible to register my PoA. I have made a complaint to Barclaycard but received no support or help for 2 months. Their inaction has caused high levels of stress.
