Everything is behind a paywall and most of the musicians on there are already too busy or flaky.

Not a viable platform if you are looking to actually make music with people.

Ich habe schon Musiker für meine Band über Band Mix gefunden. Ebenso gut ging es aber auch kostenlos über ebay-Kleinanzeigen. Ich finde Band Mix auch nicht besonders gut strukturiert .., oder bin sich zu blöd, um die Struktur zu erkennen. Öfter ist es auch vorgekommen, daß kontaktete Musiker sich überhaupt nicht melden, oder daß sie sich melden und erst im Laufe eines Telefonats darauf gebracht werden müssen, daß sie 60 km weit weg vom Übrungsraum wohnen und sicherlich nicht Lust haben, 120 km pro Probe unterwegs zu sein. Meine Erfahrzungen erstrecken sich über einen Zeitraum von etwa 2 Jahren.

Customer service is non-existant. My credentials - which I keep in a password manager - are being rejected and I've submitted more than a half-dozen requests for a password reset email over the past few weeks to no avail. How is one supposed to use this site if there is no support when needed?

Bandmix is a great way to connect with musicians that fit for your project. I would definitely recommend it.

Very comprehensive and concise meet-up/social site for musicians of all backgrounds and interests. If serious about meeting other musicians, surely enroll in the $ version. The 'free' version is limited, and you will miss out and burn time. The $ is valid and has the best value. If you're going to join and sincerely pursue the best of BandMix then sign up for the full enrollment. So many musicians here. Very satisfyingly impressed with the wide range and the ability to search. Regarding your own profile abilities, very impressed here as well. You can upload photos, videos, and sound clips. Searching and setting your search parameters is very easy. Well done!

A great service. How actually useful it is depends more on the users because they are the ones that are trying to find bands/bandmates.
But this was an invaluable tool that helped me find a number of opportunities within my local area.

If I could give this no stars I would. This waste of space site is full of fake musicians profiles and scams. Getting covid twice and dying would be better than paying a subscription fee for this.

Bandmix has the feel of a really bad dating site and it's built around the same formula if you want to communicate with e mail you have to become a premium memeber
also no one out of 5 members i messaged me back
it seems tom be populated b y people qwho can play 15 instruments,name drop the people they supposedly jammed with,blah blah
maybe if your livng in New York Berlin ,Dublin etc it might be useful but for the likes of me living in an isolated area its about as useful as t*** on a bull

I WILL AVOID. 2 pages of reviews are damning enough to conclude that BM greedily grabs your dosh & wants more yet actually useless.

Same as many others, the fact you are signing up to auto renew is not made clear and they will take your money without prior notification. You will notice that there is a complete lack of response to anyone highlighting this issue on Trustpilot, I wonder why?! Scammers 🤬

Great site for Working and Casual Musicians. Retiring from Band's so wont use again myself but highly recommend it.

I cancelled my subscription, yet they are still taking payment from me. I have tried to contact support but got ignored!

Band mix is seen by many as expensive and hit & miss, I c add n only say that I found three outstanding musicians here and the app & website were great.
I’d definitely use bandmix again.
One improvement I’d like to see is the search parameters be more accurate. If I’m looking for guitarists, it also gives me bassists outside of my search area. Other than that, I now have an awesome band thanks to this website.

The staff at Bandmix are courteous, knowledgeable professionals in the music field. Their organization is very responsive to your personal needs and give you a constant feed of viable verified candidates for your musical and band related needs. There are a plethora of choices for you to expand your musical horizons and find you just the right musician to complete your band. With very competitive rates that allow to do virtual auditions and message other like minded musicians privately. Nothing bad to say about this staff.

So in a 15 month period, my ensemble (The Splendid Anachronisms), given we have posted ample information, photos, demo audio and video, have netted a big fat goose egg on successful connections, both in terms of adding talent to our effort, and venues we'd hope might spot us. As a matter of fact, most in the community I know have never heard of Bandmix.com. Bandmix has no criteria for quality control of its member content. I would estimate in the 80th percentile of listings don't even contain a photo, let alone demo audio/video material. Our presentation is straightforward, not claiming to be anything we're not, just an honest effort with reasonable objectives. Most Bandmix.com content seems to be either shadows behind no front material, or bar bands with no real focus on what they seek. Worst of all: Bandmix provides NO feedback forum or blog where members can voice concerns or ideas for improvement of the service. It's basically pay and you get what you get. Adding to the insult are periodic emails saying, "We have (x number of) new musicians near Columbia, MD," which reveals faceless llstings with no demo material, or others no where near my geographical area. This reflects simple "GIGO" data matching with little concern for the quality of the product to customers.
