I had the most brilliant experience…
I had the most brilliant experience getting my bar tape done, and installing mudguards on my bicycle. Thanks to the expert bar tape work of Craig, the patience, expertise and great customer service of Paul and Russ; especially with the mudguard. A fantastic team with incredible product knowledge and great customers service.

The customer service is often good
The customer service is often good, although one guy at the Streatham branch started sorting out my online purchase, then broke off to serve someone else, and just left me standing there. Train him or replace him?
I’ll see if the service at the Peckham branch is better, because I like Balfes.
I can say that Balfe’s beats Evans Cycles for online retail service.

Great customer service
The team were great in servicing my bike. Although something wasn't right after the initial service, they did their best to make the corrections and rectify it as soon as possible.

Helpful, happy Bike Gurus
I took my bike in as was having issues with gears that I couldn't figure out for myself. The guys at Bales Streatham were brilliant- so helpful and knowledgeable. They resolved the problem, were chatty and were never patronising which is one of the main problem with bike shops generally.
I can't rate this shop and the geezers inside highly enough!

Great bike shopping experience
Immediately felt comfortable when I walked in. Staff pleasant and friendly but not pushy. Had been to 4 other bike stores but didn't buy from them as they either instantly assumed I'd want a 'ladies' bike or tried to flog me the most expensive bikes. Craig who dealt with me was super helpful and professional. He made the experience easy and stress-free. Bought the bike and the whole kit. Will definitely go back when I want an upgrade and recommend Balfes Streatham to everyone.

As a regular customer at Balfe’s I am…
As a regular customer at Balfe’s I am always quite surprised with the low attempt to make my life easier. You are my local bike shop yet it always seems when I come in (quite regularly!) that helping me get my bike fixed is a hassle to you and no attempt to try and limit the hassle the fact you are so busy means for my broken/not working/in need of help bike. When I bought my bike with you, I got more attention and support but it is dried up further and further over time.
