Went to Baife's to give a "rested" bike a once over. . . Was recommended a "tune up" - which was perfect for me. Confidently back on the road now.

From the moment I saw my new bike.
From the moment I saw my new bike in the window at Balfe's Bikes, Reigate, and walking into the shop to make my first enquiry, I was treated extremely well by the staff members who were very keen to assist me with my questions. After speaking to the manager I was able to negotiate a deal which both parties were happy with. I now have a new bike :-D Overall a great experience. I believe I will be well supported by Balfe's Bikes. I will definately buy from Balfe's Bikes again. Thank you to Matt, Julian and Simon for all your help.

I assume you are talking about marketing emails informing you of our latest promotions etc? Not something we have any control of in store, I'm afraid, but if you've already unsubscribed then they should cease. I would just make sure you don't have multiple emails registered if you are still receiving content!

I bought a Marin Gestalt Gravel Bike 2026 in black. The staff was very Kind. I asked for suggestions, which resulted in this magnificent bike. I am loving riding it. I recommend Belfe's of Reigate.

Great bike, but not the usual level of Balfe's service
We've bought several bikes for the family from Balfe's over the last few years so we decided to get our son one from here for his birthday. By chance they had one in stock in the Reigate store and it was perfect. We came back having left time for it to be set up and I asked for the owner's manual (which the bike even had a sticker on the handlebars saying to refer to it) and was told that bikes don't ship with manuals anymore. On checking with the manufacturer, this is not true. During the set up, no proper attempt was made to make sure the brake levers, saddle or bell were set up correctly for my son and we've had to adjust a lot of things since (not really a problem, but disappointing as Balfe's are usually very particular about this) . The bike is great, but this is not the usual level of care and service given by Balfe's.

Thank you for leaving a review and we are sorry to hear of your experience.
I can see from our system that your bike went through our pre delivery inspection in the workshop like all our bikes do before they leave the shop.
We do offer a 6 week check of all bike's and so with this yours will be due end of July/early August.
If you do need any further adjustments being made to the bike please do bring the bike back into us before this date and we will happily carry out the work.

This was our second visit to the shop
This was our second visit to the shop, all staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The bike service was quick, they replaced an inner tube which was reasonably priced.
I would highly recommend Balfe's Reigate.

Hi Paul,
We can only apologise to you that back in the handover of the bike in October 2023 it was not explained to you that the specification of the bike had tubeless ready rims but not tubeless ready tires.
Through our recent communication we explained that in order to make it tubeless you'd have to change the tires due to the bead being less reinforced and risk of air loss/burping.
As a gesture of goodwill for the confusion we offered to waiver the tubeless set up fee if you brought a new set of tubeless ready tires which we had ordered in for you.
Unfortunately you decided not to go through with this but we still hope you are enjoying the bike throughout this glorious summer.
