Calling center not working try to call 3..5hours per day nobody answer

The biggest scam company out there!!!.

I hardly ever write reviews but I am shocked at this company. Initially took qoute in March as it was lower then all the others. First mistake there. They asked me to fit a black box. I watched their videos and tutorials on how to fit however could not find the port in my car. I called and emailed them. Spending +2 hours at a time and they still would not answer. They threatened to close my insurance. I called them on the day it was due to be stopped and told I would have a pay a premium now to set it up. I needed insurance urgently that day as I am a front line NHS worker and needed my car to see my patients. They charged me £200 on top of the price. They then asked me for my NCB which I provided from lloyds. Again I got a threatening letter saying they will cancel my policy. When I called them they said my NCB has to say 14 years. I called lloyds who said we always write 9+ years. Spoke to these i4diots again who said you will now need to pay another premium of £200. I was so angry at this time I requested them to cancel my policy. Been told now that I will only get £200 back from my £1000 payment. All my years of driving never had an issue with insurance. Don't use this company!!

I wish I had read the reviews before proceeding with this company. There are few words to express how awful they are. Like the other reviews, our policy was cancelled for incorrect reasons. They refused to listen to us and have taken over £800 from us. The customer service is non existent. It takes hours to get through and when you do they are extremely rude and disinterested. I have no option to report this company to the financial ombudsman. I do not want anyone else to experience what we have over the last week therefore PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Plus we are owed over £800 from this company.

Stay away from them, wish we had. Threatens to cancel your insurance for any reason, in fact even if it's there mistake! On hold with them for just over 3 hrs and then when they do answer state they will call back. Never do and you get letters and emails about cancellation. Trying to cancel but can't get through! Will be reporting to the financial ombudsman.

Unfortunately I didn't read their reviews before taking out policy.
Currently made complaint to Financial Ombudsman about them.

Terrible insurance company. Requested more documentation than any other insurer. Never confirmed receipt when I emailed them in. Never told me they were not the right documents. They interrogate you like they WANT to cancel your policy, which stacks up when you read the other reviews on here... Is it their business model? I only found out my documentation wasn't what they wanted because I called them. Then I was given unreasonable deadlines such as 4PM the same day. Spent over 3 hours on the phone with them in a couple of days sorting something basic. As other reviews say, the hold times are really long too. Then the people on the phone are nice enough, but very frustrating eg. getting confused by talking about old documents, asking pointless questions, etc. They need to go to their supervisor for everything, causing extra hold time, and they put you on hold to 'review your account'. PAINFUL. Avoid.

Scam

They owe refunds for 2 policies equal £2000 and I’ve had nothing. They cancelled my policies for false reasons it’s like they try to find a reason then take nearly 50% of your policy for 54 days cover. I’ve had to go to the financial ombudsman. They are part of achoice insurance do not touch

Please do not use this company they are scammers !!! Set up insurance took 115 pound as a set up fee no emails sent out no replie.

Was awful, went over my miles for the year got a notice of cancellation, upon ringing them and asking to pay for more miles or even pay for a different policy they told me no, it is a joke. They ended up using ‘no response’ as a reason for cancellation after sitting on the phone with them for 3 hours. Now I’ve got to deal with stupidly high insurance prices as a new driver.

absolutely dreadful. as a new driver, i was excited to sort out my insurance etc and feel independent.
i wasn’t made aware that would be receiving a black box until it turned up in the mail
i was then asked for documents regarding the named drivers on my policy which i found odd. not once in the letter did it ask for photos of the license. this company’s failure to pick up emails or answer the phone has resulted in me being charged an extra £160.

i cannot wait to change my insurance next year

Aura is a dodgy insurance company, I cancelled my policy with them and lost £321.15 Still awaiting an overdue refund of £393. Unhelpful, uncaring and unbothered about customer concerns. Also, Aura would not answer their phone for at least 40 minutes and leave you hanging in your problem. Please avoid getting Aura Insurance and get your insurance elsewhere with a reputable company even if you must pay more.

The most awful insurance company that I have never experienced during my many years driving experience. I have received at least 3 or 4 times cancellation warnings during 49 days insurance with the company. Finally, I fed up and decided to leave the company regardless what cost it is. I paid £620 and got refund £250 for 49 days. They have all reasons and conditions that not give you help; each call average to what for one and half hour to answer and end of the call make you feel hopeless and threatened. All I feel that I was threatened and scammed by this company.

I wish I could give zero starts because it is possibly the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with in my 30 years and plus of driving. Customer service beyond appalling: impossibile to get through to them on phone ( average waiting time to be able to speak to someone and still Not sort your situation out: 35 minutes), no response to emails (one email sent on March 24th has received a response on April 11th!) and requests of documents I could NOT provide due to circumstances and it has been clearly explained to them at least 5 times. Their app does not work either. I am going to report Aura to the Ombudsman, they should not be out there selling services they clearly cannot offer. But very quick in taking the money.

Do not buy insurance from this company. The price might look cheap but when you call them you will never get anyone to answer the phone. It is a rip off company. You have been warned. Probably there is no one who works in this company. I have tried to call this company on numerous occasions to claim or to enquire about anything on the policy. NO ONE ever answers the phone even after waiting for 1.5 hours. How is that possible? A terrible terrible company. Don't be fooled by the price.

AVOID THIS COMPANY.. my son took out his first policy with them after passing his test. They wrote asking for information about previous insurance cover before he took it over. He sent off an explanation and within a week they had cancelled his policy. END of story.

Awful insurance company! Nobody knows what they are talking about and you’re constantly being told multiple times by multiple people different things, also passed round in circles as no one has a clue and can’t help you. Forever waiting on phone calls until it’s being ended due to the length of the wait. I got told multiple times false information from aura insurance on multiple occasions on how they deal with their policy holders. I was sent the wrong tracker and was sent a notice of cancellation due to this when it was their fault! Just a money grabbing company. Worst insurance company I’ve been with! Would not recommend at all

Hi review was for Aura car insurance not Aura Digital Security.

Honestly the worst insurance company I have seen, have created so much stress and hassle for me, and at the end charged me about £200 to leave. I cannot explain everything that happened as it is too long, but here are some notes
-If you want to contact them, you will be left on hold for at least 40 minutes (everytime) and occasionally get hung up on
-You will constantly be told different things from different employees, I don't know if it's poor training or if different employees are told different things
-I received multiple notices of cancellation (which were "irreversible"), for things that were not in my control. EG.
•Not plugged in blackbox in the first 7 days (as I did not receive it for 3 weeks)
•Not providing additional information to them (which I was not made aware of until after I called them up about the notice)
•Not providing the correct type of evidence when the type was not specified ( an email letting me know would have been fine)
-I was finally let go due to me changing my address ( I am a uni student), this is a month after calling them up and telling them about the change in address, and being told it was fine
-Keep in mind that Aura is an insurance broker (I wasn't very knowledgeable on insurance as this was my first one, but was never explicitly told this) So when they refunded me, they took commison and admin fees, but even with that it still didnt feel like it added up right allegedly
- I had to wait 1 month to receive my refund (my insurance now, I was refunded for overpayment in 3-5 days)
- I was by told through email and phone that I would get a £30 refund when I returned the blackbox. I have contacted them multiple times and after 4 months I am being told that I am not entitled to it.

For the 2-3 months I have been with this insurance, they have caused be nothing but stress and took up so much of my time on hold or on call with them, redirecting me to whoever, and constantly being told different things.
In the end I can see how me changing my address would have inevitably led to my policy being cancelled (they don't insure the new address area) however I should have been told this straight away, and that doesn't take away from all the other issues I had.
