I cannot recommend Auger highly enough - knowledgeable and friendly staff, efficient teams, great communication and the staff always arrived when we were expecting them.

We had a leak in the back car park of the church and were referred to Auger by our insurance company. They kept in touch with me and arranged a date for a site engineer to find the problem. He worked very efficiently, digging holes until he located the problem on the neighbouring property. The holes were filled in and tarmaced and drawers and cupboards which had been emptied to find stoptaps were left filled and tidy. The engineer worked hard to make sure the church could open again on Sunday as it had had to close for three weeks because of the water problem.

Always kept up to date with progress and a very good professional service

Without my knowledge or permission, an Auger surveyor illegally entered my holiday let property and carried out an investigation into what I was subsequently told was a leaking water pipe. Their Surveyor's Report claimed that the mains water pipe belonging to a 3rd party, that runs through my property was leaking within my property. Believing the surveyors report to be accurate, I gave permission for an Auger engineer to attend the property to carry out the repair. The repair required excavation work, so for Health & Safety reasons, the property had to be taken off the holiday let market and I travelled from London to be in attendance. The engineer arrived 3 hours late, started the excavation work in the garden, and soon concluded that the leak was not on my property. He filled the hole in, and promptly left. This whole episode cost me around £3000 in loss of rent and expenses incurred. Realising their mistake, Auger then went to extraordinary lengths to avoid taking any responsibility for the debacle they had created, refused to discuss compensation, and told me to claim against my insurance. This all happened early August and here we are 3 months later and I've had no follow-up from them or confirmation that the leak has been repaired. Furthermore I received no compensation for the damage to the garden which was promised, or received an indemnity against future subsidence in the area beneath the steps where they carried out the excavation. Maybe I've been unlucky but the measure of a well run company is how they respond to their mistakes and put things right. The Auger I've experienced are incompetent and disingenuous...avoid if you can.

Auger were appointed by my insurance company to fix a water leak on my property. They were very efficient and friendly throughout the booking process, were able to offer me a cancellation and get an engineer on site 4 days earlier than expected, and had the leak sorted in under half a day. Their engineer, James, was very approachable and professional, and got the job done with minimal disruption. Thank you Auger for a fantastic service.

Water went AFTER Auger attended and did diagnosis. Mistakes happen. What rankles is that multiple calls to the company (promised callbacks never materialised) merited the response: not our problem. Speak to your insurer. End up paying £££ to get plumber out. Avoid this company

The office planning and communication was mediocre. The operatives carrying out the repair were brilliant and very hard working given the weather conditions encountered.

Operative on site was very knowledgeable, helpful and informative. The completed job was in a timely manner and I was extremely pleased with the tidy job and reinstatement of garden and path when finished.

Auger personal and operatives have always been polite and efficient the operatives in the field have always left site looking better than it did and always a pleasure for them to work at my property.

Call centre good - engineer awful

From my initial contact with Jodie Kay the Customer Care Lead, to the final day of work to lay a new Main water supply to my home, and re-connect the shared supply to neighbours, Auger were excellent in every way. I have a difficult situation as a full-time Carer for my husband and Auger took this into account at every stage of the process. Decisions were made with me and with my situation in mind at all times. The Lead Water Engineer Simon is without doubt both exceptionally skilled and personable, making decisions in my best interests and overcoming technical problems with the experience and care gained over many years. Simon is the best possible ambassador for Auger, and he and his team of Aidan and Jamie worked so well together on each day of the job. When a difficulty arose I was informed of it, but then it was managed quickly and with great expertise and care without involving me again. My courtyard and adjoining lane were excavated in a tidy manner and all excavations placed in rubber buckets to be re-used when backfilling the holes. I could not have wished for a more courteous, pleasant, and extraordinarily talented team. Water problems in one's garden can be extremely stressful, but with Simon to manage the whole project aided by Jodie to check on my well-being I felt cared for from start to finish. Simon took the strain from me and liaised with neighbours and advised on SWW policy and practice as he once worked for them and knew how things should be done. This is more than 'above and beyond', it is stratospheric and I am so very grateful to Auger to have been allocated such talent to solve my water problem. Thank you all so very much.

The people who came to investigate and repair the drains were very knowledgeable, friendly, polite and did a brilliant job.

Auger were clear, efficient and professional from start to finish. We had a freshwater pipe leak coming through the foundations of our house and spilling into the drain. The team at Auger were really quick at identifying the source of the leak and then got it fixed in a super-quick amount of time.
