Booked an expensive 5 day tour in Rome and Naples. My requests were ignored, we missed key historic sites, and tours were switched from what we requested. If you are looking for custom private tours, use someone else. Audley just consolidates mass market tours. Our private tour of Pompeii had 10 people and half didn’t speak English. Feel like it was a complete bait and switch operation.

I recently returned from a 13 day Audley South African tour. Thora Taylor did an exceptional job of planning and communicating every detail of the trip. She planned the flights, individual transfers within the tour, three very different and wonderful places to stay, (including a B & B, a tented Safari and a guesthouse) and several day discovery tours and specialty eating opportunities. I have been on numerous tours previously and this was among the best. I attribute that to Thora and her teams knowledge of the area, her personalized attention to my wishes and her ability to think through the details. Internet, written and telephone communication were key. I would highly recommend Audley and Thora

Our experience with Kelly Edwards through Audley travels was exceptional from start to finish. She created a truly customized and personalized vacation for a family of four including two teenagers and every detail was thoughtfully planned. Communication throughout the process was excellent. We always felt informed and prepared which made a big difference in traveling internationally. The accommodations were not only beautiful, but perfectly located, allowing us to fully enjoy each destination without unnecessary stress. The excursions were spot on, engaging, well, organized, and perfectly situated for both adults and teens is struck a great balance between sightseeing, culture and downtime. What really set Audley travels apart was the ongoing support during the trip. Knowing we had a resource in Italy to contact if anything that came up, provided incredible sense of reassurance. Traveling in a different country comes with a lot of moving parts especially with kids and having expert guidance to help navigate it all with truly priceless. A special thank you to Kelly Edwards, who was amazing to work with—attentive responsive experienced and clearly dedicated to making our trip unforgettable. We would highly recommend Kelly Edwards if you are planning on traveling to Italy, and want a seamless personalized travel experience.

Our self-driving trip to Wales was our eighth trip with AudleyTravel. Every trip has been perfect! When you consider the dozens of myriad details that comprise foreign travel, a lot can go wrong. Multiply that by eight. We have never had a single issue on any of our AudleyTravel tours.
If you are considering a trip to Wales, and you should, go no further than AudleyTravel and ask for Mareesa Ahmad, the country specialist (also England,Scotland, Ireland, and Iceland) who is the rock star of travel specialists, the very best! She developed a perfect itinerary for us; even kept in contact while in country.

Lily Cohen helped make our dream vacation possible. We are new to international travel and she had a lot of suggestions and options that put our concerns and nerves at ease. She really listened to what we were looking for on this trip and made sure we were able to fit it all in. Even a couple of last minute changes didn’t phase her and her team. The peace of mind knowing everything was booked and handled for us was priceless. We can’t wait to start planning our next adventure and make new memories.

I want to take this opportunity to highly recommend Audley Travel and KRISTEN ZIINO. We traveled to Egypt with 14 people from all over the east coast of the US. Kristen was so responsive to all our needs and questions. We were never waiting for answers as she was on top of everything. She took care of having everyone pay her so I was not responsible and that was helpful. The binder Audley provided was full of all the info we needed.

Besides touring Cairo Kristen had to set up a dahabiya with full crew. Everything ran like clockwork! The drivers and guides were where we needed them to be. The flights to Luxor and from Aswan happened without issue. Our guide was an Egyptologist GAMAL OMAR. I would highly recommend asking for him if you re planning a trip to Egypt. He was so so knowledgable and helpful to our group. Taking the boat from Luxor to Aswan was beautiful , relaxing and interesting. There was a lovely pool/spa on board. The staff was at our beck and call all day. The food in Cairo and on the boat was very good and there was a lot of it!

We were a bit nervous about traveling to Egypt with all that has been going on with Israel and Iran. Kristen was super patient with us and willing to talk with those who were waffling about going. She did not push but she gave us info from people who were currently there which was so reassuring.

We had a fabulous time thanks to Kristen and Gamal. The family will have memories forever from a country with so many ancient historical sites to explore. Thank you Kristen and Gamal!

We used Audley travel to help plan our two week family trip to Spain and it was personalized and tailored specifically to us and our needs. Erika, our travel agent was so informative and insightful. She lived in Spain and therefore knew all of the tricks and behind the scenes information that was so valuable! She helped plan such an amazing interactive and engaging experiential trip for us and my kids will have lifetime memories because of her expertise! We will always return to Audley when planning our getaways! We cannot speak highly enough, they are organized, communicative and so helpful throughout the planning stages and even during the trip ensuring you are always supported! They honestly think of every detail!

Frank Pergola at Audley created a magical trip for us tailored to our varied interests. We were able to experience so much of what Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia have to offer. The private tour guides were very knowledgable and friendly and we all learned so much about the history, culture and cuisine of these cities. Frank provided sound guidance and put together an amazing trip, providing beautiful memories. Looking forward to the next Audley experience.

Erika Jolie was our travel specialist. She did a great job planning our trip to Portugal. She knew the country well and helped us know where to go, what to see and picked our hotels. She responded to us quickly via email and had FaceTime calls with us. The itinerary book we were given was most helpful. All around we had a great experience and would recommend Audrey and Erika!

We had a wonderful five days in Tokyo. We contacted Audley when we realized that we needed guidance for the 5 days we were going to be in Tokyo. Our specialist, Julia Prajsnar, put together a very good itinerary, with visits to some sites around Tokyo, as well as trips to Nikko and Kamakura. We were met in Tokyo by a wonderful local guide who helped understand the train system and things like that. Audley booked our hotel, which was very nice. It was not cheap but well worth the money. For our next overseas trip we are likely to talk to Audley again.

This was our second trip planned by Kelly Edwards with Audley Travel, both to Italy. This recent trip (March 2026) was to tagged on the back end of a scientific conference in Tuscany that included visits to Florence, Sorrento/Amalfi Coast, and Napoli. Kelly's expertise with Italy is highly evident; she was able to arrange private transportation for key legs of the trip which is well worth it (the drivers were outstanding). Importantly, she arranged the high speed Italo train (over a slower city) train from Florence to Napoli which is spectacular as well as highly comfortable. Her expertise also extended to understanding best options for the hotel in Sorrento given that most options are closed in March. The tours arranged with partner contractors included a bike tour, hike on Path of the Gods on the Amalfi Coast, and even a cooking class/session in the private home of a highly acclaimed chef. A highlight was a tour of Pompei by a guide that has guided tours for over 20 years that provides a perspective you cannot reproduce. The personal guides arranged by Kelly were always knowledgeable and very kind and considerate. Very creative and always looking out for us, Kelly and Audley even exceed our expectations and experience from our trip to Northern Italy arranged by them last year.

Aislyn, our contact at Audley Travel, put together a marvelous itinerary for our recent trip to Scandinavia (Copenhagen; Stockholm; Bergen). As a specialist in the region, Aislyn had personal knowledge about hotel options, tour guides, and "must sees." She was easy to work with and responsive. A+ service!

Chris was very helpful in organizing our family trip to Japan. He made our vacation much more enjoyable with his thorough planning, and knowledge of the country.

I travel often, but this is my first time utilizing Audley & Chris Flad made sure our trip to Japan was unforgettable !

From the detail he put into each day, to our passes into events, train vouchers, the best tour guides & the hotels was really top tier.

I promise, your mind will be blown & you'll have an upper echelon experience. 12/10 !

Chris Flad was simply PHENOMENAL!!! He planned out our trip to Japan for 5 (My best friend, sister and her family) and I literally can’t explain not only was Chris flexible, patient, and understanding……However we all can’t express how awesome he was to work with! He was super detailed, listened anytime we needed anything and was quick for responses with anything that we needed! He could not have planned a better trip and can’t wait to book our next! Thanks SO MUCH CHRIS for everything that you did for us and our trip! Truly a once in a lifetime experience that we had in Japan!

a joy! Everything was well planned, our tours were exactly what we wanted. Our hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto were wonderful and comfortable. Drivers appeared on schedule. Guides appeared on schedule. We loved our time in Japan and saw so much more than we bargained for!!

Our 10-day trip to Bhutan exceeded our expectations - from the responsiveness and thoughtfulness of Audley's Bhutan country specials Jason Toms during the planning process all the way through to our last hour in the country. Jason asked a lot of questions and listened well, ensuring that every detail of our trip was on point. As he had personal knowledge of the hotels, modes of transport and activities we discussed, he hit the mark on everything for us. All the details he planned clearly were extremely well vetted because everything large and small, from transport to hotels to experiences went off without a hitch. Their choices for local partners were excellent, and we can't say enough about our guide for the entire trip - Sherab Dorji. He was incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, and an all around great guy!

From the onset when we connected with Audley staff with regards to extending our stay in Japan, seeking ideas and destinations for the extended stay, they were very professional in their understanding of our needs and the approach towards meeting our requirements, and finalizing of the logistics. On arrival at our hotel in Tokyo, a complete package with train tickets, Wi-Fi booster etc was sent to us. Their partners Discova were very helpful as well in answering any questions we had.

Mr. Presanna de Silva was wonderful. Prompt, an excellent driver, and took the time to point out and explain the history and geography of this beautiful island country.

Ana was great to work with. As a Brazil specialist she helped me to customize a private journey in Brazil & Argentina prior to a cruise for some clients and also was able to assist with some of the ports on the cruise for private excursions. Great experience.
