During my SandakPhu trek with India Hikes, I got AMS symptoms after which our trek leader took a call for my evacuation. Had a pretty smooth experience after I claimed for the expenses during the evacuation.

Got ASC 360 Insurance for our Everest Base Camp (EBC) trekking and it became useful when we had to use our insurance for medical evacuation due to Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). From Gorakshep to Lukla Hospital.
We were treated as Outpatients, which costed us each 100USD, which after 50USD deductible the balance can be claimed.
Few drawbacks though:
We contacted the emergency number that night we had AMS symptoms at Gorakshep (5164m), and the emergency number connected us to a doctor on call, and the doctor sent us few priscibtions to be taken that night. Where do we find medication at that hour? and at that altitude, plus it was an off season time. June 2025.
My wife had to take a pony ride from EBC to Gorakshep, cause she had shortness of breath at EBC, which costed USD150. But that cannot be claimed. The reson given was that, it needs to be pre approved by the Insurance. How do we get pre approval for the pony? it's about to be sunset and without mobile phone network coverage it'svimpossible to get pre approval?
Mode of Emergency evacuation is mentioned in the policy though ambulance / pony / helicopter.
Even in their letter of settlement form its mention pony. Upon requesting, why is pony mentioned in the form, the staffs prepared a new letter, removing the word pony.
So, looks like all Insurance has it's pros and cons, and you need to be well-versed in the policy or great at arguing. Anyways greatful for the airlift from Gorakshep. Staffs at ASC Kathmandu were polite and patient with our questions. Would be great if all our medical evacuations were covered though.

I had an injury in my left leg (during my trek to Everest Base Camp).... the Doctor at the High Altitude Clinic checked me and inspected the injury and recommended that, i should not walk anymore (meaning climbing down on rocky terrain & trek would increase the injury), fortunately i had completed the EBC Summit by then and had to descend back to lower altitude...i reported my stituation to ASC360 Insurance, after consulation with the Doctor they arranged for a Helicopter evacuation the next morning to lower altitude (to Lukla from Gorakshep)... the ASC360 Insurance Staff were very helpful and reassuring during my time of need.. All Thanks to them, was very happy i had an ASC360 Insurance to back me up in the time of my need...

It did not serve the purpose of emergency evacuation. Being a visitor in Nepal; the telecom company did provide free calling services to any local number but when I had to contact ASC360; I had to call to their Indian number for which services were not provided by telecom company; ASC360 failed to have a reachable Nepal local customer number which delayed the communication. You need someone who will assist and help during crisis and that’s what the insurance is required for and if the the agent doesn’t support and informs that they are not going to send for evacuation, it’s a mess. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to take ASC360, not reliable and trustworthy. Even the claim process was humiliating; rejecting the request by vague terms and conditions.
I am beyond frustrated and deeply disappointed with ASC Insurance Company. When I signed up for their policy, I was assured that in times of emergency, especially during evacuation or rescue situations, I would be protected and supported. That could not have been further from the truth.
During a recent critical situation where immediate evacuation and rescue services were not just expected, but absolutely essential, ASC completely failed to deliver. There was no clear communication, no urgency, and certainly no actionable support. Calls went unanswered, and when someone finally did respond, they offered vague, unhelpful answers and empty reassurances. It felt like I was left to fend for myself in a situation where their intervention could have made all the difference.
What’s the point of paying for insurance if, when it really matters, the company doesn’t show up? ASC’s failure put lives at risk and exposed just how unreliable and unprepared they are when it counts the most. I trusted this company with my safety—and they let me down completely.
I strongly advise anyone considering ASC to think twice. When emergencies strike, you need a company that acts—not one that disappears.

Immediate response to the phone by Gagan post my daughter's accident during snowboarding cours. Once when another colleague answered, the message was conveyed to him and he called back as soon as he could. Thoroughly explained all that was included and the documents needed from the PHC visited immediately after the accident to ensure smooth processing of claims post operation once operated after reaching home

I had a terrible experience with Adventure 360 insurance while on a trek in Annapurna. My friend fell seriously ill, and we relied on their emergency services, but they failed to respond when we needed help the most. We purchased helicopter rescue coverage, but when it was time to act, there was no support from the company.
In the end, our Nepal hiking company had to arrange a chartered flight to get us to the hospital. This was an incredibly stressful situation made worse by the lack of assistance from Adventure 360. I strongly advise against buying insurance from this company—it's not worth the risk. Be cautious and look for a more reliable provider.

What I liked?? I liked their effort to make me comfortable and safe in my need, they fulfilled all their promises under the insurance contract, I was evacuated by heli from Gorakshep, I was treated in Gorakshep and Kathmandu, it was very nice experience with ASC360 , specifically the lady whom I called 1st for the help, and Prateek , and Anshul…all were very much helping …that’s what anyone would expect at this situation..so 6 stars out of 5 for them and their effort..
What I didn’t like?? There was a Doctor on ground whom I was asked to have some words after I checked with doctor at high altitude in gorakshep, now this Doctor on call , who had no any idea about my illness, was cross checking the other treating Doctor who was treating at high altitude…….the way this Doctor was arguing and questioning the judgment and treatment plan of the main treating doctor was totally unethical, I was feeling as if he was not even having the degree, because without properly asking history and without option of examination, he was forcing me to take some medicine which was totally opposite of what Doctor at Gorakshep advised me after proper history taking and examination…so I am deducting my one start from 6…..still giving 5 stars….
ASC360 should do something about their doctor at ground….otherwise it was very nice experience with ASC360…
