Food was great however we had ordered ribs and wings and hadn't received wet wipes although table next to us had received wet wipes. Also there wasn't my favourite beer (blue moon).

Ten of us met at Arbuckle’s (Downham Market) for a family breakfast get together 25/01/2026.
As usual it was warm the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were their usual friendly and attentive selves.
I have given the 3 star rating because unfortunately I thought the quality of the breakfast food was not up to the usual standard.
I had the Farmhouse breakfast, the sausage was clearly overcooked, the (fried) egg yolk was hard and there was just the impression that the food had been sitting around for a while and some aspects could have been better.
The experience would not stop us going again but I think management may like to keep an eye on the quality of the food.

Stopped by the Ely restaurant yesterday 15/12/25 . The welcome was really good , all staff are very personable and friendly.
The food was great, nice and hot .
Vaida was lovely pleasant, friendly and professional. Although the restaurant was busy Vaida made us feel welcome.

The staff were very accommodating of my partner in her wheelchair and excellent service from our waitress, Stephanie, at arbuckles in DownhamMarket. Always greeting us with a smile and laughing with us, even when we raised an issue about one of our meals being too dry.
Looking forward to coming back and being served by her again.

We went there today and the place was packed but we were still treated like we were the only ones there the staff here are so good friendly and professional always on hand when you need them but never hovering nothing is to much trouble and the food was absolutely fabulous good portion size and cooked perfectly we have eaten here at ely arbuckles several times now and have never had a bad meal and really look forward to our next visit

Excellent food! Staff was amazing esp phindi. Was lovely and chatty. Had me laughing and I have not been out for a while due to mental health issues. She made me feel so at ease. And even chase after me when I left my fan on the seat. Managers were lovely too.

Excellent service tonight and our waitress Phindi was helpful and friendly with great customer service

Good food and service

We visited Arbuckles in Downham Market this evening.
We had a steak which was cooked to perfection, a lasagne which was ‘like Mumma used to make’, we also had a child’s meal.
Katie, our waitress, was very nice. She was attentive and had a constant smile.
For dessert we had a caramel, apple crumble with custard which was phenomenal.
Absolutely recommend Arbuckles. Their aim is to please and they succeeded today. Thank you

Sunday 6th October 2024 travelling to Kings Lynn, stopped at the Stonecross Service Station, Arbuckles Restaurant.
This was our very first visit to an, Arbuckles, but thanks to Ricky who served our table, will not be our last. Barbara and I were made very welcome, Ricky assisted us when choosing from the extensive menu and through out our stay made our first experience a special one. Ricky has a very pleasant manner, carries out his support role in a very calm and efficient way, seems very much at ease with what he does and a definite credit to his colleagues and the restaurant. Went to Arbuckles in Ely yesterday for breakfast staff was great but food was very very poor sausages were overcooked and tasteless eggs undercooked bacon, dry and hard to cut hair found in hash brown baked beans obviously microwaved as dryed Tomatoes for a couple of seconds as they were hard soft drink that was flat And hardly any flavour. It’s a shame as we was looking forward to it after having an excellent main meal a few weeks ago certainly will never have one of their breakfast again.

My elderly mother had a meal in Arbuckles on Saturday evening, she has not been well since , with terrible stomach pain and Diarrhoea.

We had a meal today and I have to say it was very disappointing so much so that one would assume there is a new chef. There were a lot of new serving staff, the food took a lot longer than usual to arrive at the table

The food was amazing! The short rib is to die for! Staff were lovely too.

Poor service and disappointing food

Visited for my daughters birthday. She was looking forward to the meal after a great experience a few years ago.

We were sat in a booth, and was quite cool from the front door and there was an awful smell coming from the toilets.

The service was poor, we were hardly checked on at all and when we got the attention of the serving staff it was as if we were an inconvenience.

My husband had been trying to order another beer, when he eventually got someones attention he was asked 'Do you want another beer or your food, as it is now on the counter?'

The main course was served, but not all meals at the same time as there had been a technical problem in the kitchen. The food wasn't very warn and the burgers were burnt on the outside and dry in the middle.

When we were ready to order dessert, again were made to feel an inconveniece which the reply 'I have to put this ticket in' - no apology.

We were actually all opened mouthed and laughing about how rude this was.

To conclude - such a disappointing experience. We won't be returning. We made a special journey to visit and there are much nicer places closer to home.

Well done to all the staff coping with the downpour today and reseating the outside patrons and keeping everyone happy

Arbuckles, Ely.
Being a Saturday lunchtime it was very busy, but as we had prebooked we were taken straight to a table with no queuing. We were served quickly, and the food arrived a lot quicker than I was expecting (several large groups in) and the food was hot and delicious. Will definitely be going back

Great Service and wonderful staff. But first a response to otherrs writing reviews, as the company has many branches id many areas, when writing a review STATE WHICH VENUE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. Do that especially with complaints and the company can do something about it.
My review is based on the location at Downham Market on the A10. Yes there was aproblem ... once ... i complained to the manager and it was sorted. That was one visit out of more than a dozen every other visit was brilliant and would recommend it to anyone. I was served by Bex,wonderful girl.

Given a £100 voucher for Christmas by my children to have a few nice meals here - upon paying for meal which came to just under £50 was advised the voucher needed to be spent all at once?!?!! Nowhere does it stipulate or advise this! Was forced to use only £40 of it (only after the manager reluctantly accepted) and had to pay the rest by card. Disgraceful service and humiliating - even worse when we were charged full price for a filet T-bone steak and was given rump which is considerably cheaper. Really poor service all round. Now I’m worried I won’t be able to use the remaining £60 on the voucher. Thieves.
