Good experienced workmen carried out the tasks to a very good standard and worked through difficult weather conditions to complete the work on time. Very pleased.

Poor after sales support. Refuses to return any calls

This was the second time I have used A Rated Home Improvements. This time new front door and conservatory. The whole process was excellent from Richard in sales and Martin and the installation team. Communication throughout was great and we are really pleased with the products and craftmanship. Would highly recommend

Triple glazed windows condensating, a lot more than the double glazed units taken out.had to replace blinds due to water damage and mould.ive talked to the company TWICE and was promised someone would call out guess what FALSE PROMISES. Had conservatory and front windows done ,no problems after 10 years,these last windows ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. cheapest of the cheap at premium prices. I've used A RATED THREE TIMES ,THERE WONT BE A FORTH.A rated I've seen your reply and I'VE DEFINITELY GOT THE RIGHT COMPANY, DONT WANT ANYMORE PROMISES JUST WANT DECENT WINDOWS AND AFTERSERVICE.

From beginning to completion it was an excellent experience.
Anthony, the owner came out to us and listened to what we wanted. He drew up the plans and showed us what the end result would look like . He was enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable offering us his views.
We had a date and time and the team of fitters arrived promptly on the due date. They were amazing and the speed and professionalism was outstanding.
They were clean and tidy and at the end of each day the work area was spotless .
We are so pleased with the end result. It is a great space to enjoy the views of our garden .

We had a conservatory built by A-Rated. The design and plans were done quickly and efficiently, The fitters were prompt , super friendly, skilled and they worked at a great pace.
They built 2 great south facing windows with a superb apex at the front . We had a hybrid solid roof with 3 sky lights incorporated. They had to build a box gutter which was a challenge but this was undertaken brilliantly . The plastering and electrics were superb .
The end result is amazing we are so happy and love sitting in this bright airy space .
The fitters tidied up after themselves every day and the conservatory and the area they worked in was left clean and tidy , all packaging taken away.

I have been trying for months to get through on phone and via email but to no avail. Internal frames coming away.

I have been asking for months for them to repair a back door that they installed, it keeps locking shut, I even asked what if it were my only exit in a fire? I have sent countless emails and can't get through on the phone. Shame because the job was great. Installed in April 23 door has been broken since April this year!

Updated review. They have now been and fixed the door and also found an issue I didn't know about and sorted that too, the guy was very helpful. I have also had a phone call and a personal apologies for not being up to par, but have made significant improvements to how they deal with call backs and in the future will be a better service. I appreciated his honesty and have upgraded my review from 1 to 3 as my extension is wonderful.

Shambolic company. Poor quality composite door that split in the cold weather. That was last December. After hounding them for best part of a year after being fobbed off with excuse after excuse, we finally had the replacement part fitted today. Fitters rushed the job and put the glass in the wrong way around so the logos on the glass are upside down, gaping gaps and glue everywhere. Lovely! Seriously considering ripping the door out and going elsewhere for a new one. Disappointed, dissatisfied and would certainly not recommend A Rated!

I had a front door fitted 4yrs ago had nothing but problems with it water coming in I couldn't lock door reported problems with it waited 7mths for them to come out change lock in march this year got the same problem again reported but haven't heard anything back again nothing but problems since door been put in

Poor installation complained from day 1 that roof repair liquid coating was used to seal guttering. Can’t get them back to do a proper job despite repeated complaints

Firstly, we are pleased with our Superlite replacement conservatory roof. (Fitted Nov/Dec 2024) It's a nice job, the conservatory looks vastly better inside and out. With a much improved thermal performance its created a usable living space all year round.
The initial sales pitch attempts to get you to sign immediately, something I never do. There are openings for negotiation in the form of throwing in a few freebies.

The installation process went smoothly. Staff working directly for A Rated Home Improvements were great, polite, friendly. The weak link was one of their contractors, seemed unable to do a satisfactory job and viewed us - the punters as being somewhat stupid. Just the sort you DON'T want working on your property hense the four stars.

It's wise to keep a photo diary of every stage of conversion for your own records.
Thankfully we haven't had any structural issues so I can't comment on after sales service.
I've since offered them a project converting my side load garage which was met with Luke warm enthusiasm and didn't bother getting back to me - their loss.
Would I use them again- yes for a replacement conservatory roof or conservatory definitely.

Every aspect of this company is 5*. I wanted an extension onto my property and A rated made that happen flawlessly. After having a few companies around to estimate, I decided to put my faith with Anthony as he was honest, realistic and made my vision happen within my budget.
All the aspects of the different teams were punctual, respectful and professional. The end product is amazing and they have gone above and beyond. They finished before estimate time and eye to detail is amazing. I can not thankyou all enough and I will continue to recommend you to everyone.

We had high hopes for the service of this company. Richard the salesman was very approachable and nothing was too much trouble, we put our faith in him and the company, and went ahead with a new conservatory roof, which was installed in October 2024. Initially we were very pleased with the work, and looked forward to enjoying our new room. Initially we had one small problem, which was a small white mark on the anthracite window. We were promised touch up paint but that never materialised. After ringing twice about it and no action, I even called at the showrooms and spoke to a guy who said they would get it sorted, you guessed it, nothing happened. Then we had an issue with the bi-fold doors not running properly. Rang again to report it, and was told it was easy to rectify and would be sorted out. Nothing happened. Fast forward to May 2025, and we discovered we had a leak in one of the roof lights. Rang them again several times, could not get through on any extensions. Finally spoke to Nigel, the boss, who arranged for the team to call out on May 7th, which i was happy with. Unfortunately I had to cancel this appointment due to a family crisis, so I rang to re schedule, and again spoke to Nigel who said the team would be out on May 14th at 10.am, today. It is now gone eleven am, and there is no sign of anyone coming. We have rung several times and cannot get an answer. We have had no message as to why they have not stuck to the appointment arrangements either. Don't bother leaving any messages on their service issue support on line, as we did that too and had no response. It seems the after sales service with this company is extremely poor, and judging from other reviews, this is very worrying as a lot of hard earned money is being spent, and they do not seem to like to rectify issues that arise. It is upsetting and very stressful, so I would really advise caution if thinking of using this company.

Poor customer service, fails to answer phones or answer emails, leaves a product unfit for purpose and won't pass building control standards... eventually they sent someone out but 6 weeks later still no written plan to resolve the issues despite being promised in an email.

Unfortunately we may have to pursue via the legal route.

A Rated installed a front door, a back door, and 4 windows.
The front door developed a crack from regular use, what could be a manufacturer issue. No problem. We contacted A Rated to inquire about a replacement within the guarantee time and this took months to even be seen by a human. When we finally hear about a solution, they kick it down to the manufacturer. We wait another month. RIng them. They say, yes, oh, we had the part! Good. By the way, we noticed the seals on all the windows you installed seem to have a draft. Can you send someone to inspect to make sure they are installed properly? Yes, great. Takes several emails to get to talk to a person about agreeing on a date for installation and inspection. Someone broke their arm or something. New year comes along. Can't get a date down. I ring, requesting confirmation via email. Ghosted. No reponses. Decided to escalate with the regulator after warning them on the issue, the only time they seemed to respond to my emails. Decided to drop a review here to see if it does anything.

Had a front door and windows installed, excellent service, the installation was professional , really happy with the final result.

Geraint and Anthony turned up on time and worked hard without a break all day. Really nice guys who did a great job, will be going back to them when any similar work is needed. Thanks.

Recommended by my neighbour and couldn't be more happy. We had 4 windows and back door fitted.
The fitters, Geraint and Anthony were excellent, they were very professional and did an excellent job after which they tidied up really well. Will be using A Rated again and are happy to recommend them.
