i recently visited the dive shop , i have been away from diving for a while and wanted some advice , the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, i left with a new mask and snorkel then very soon signed up for a review course , i cant wait to get back into the water.

Great service and wonderful people who know their stuff and only too willing to help.

I have made some expensive scuba purchases from Aquanauts over last couple years and each and every time,
They have been so efficient with delivery and my purchases have always arrived within 2-3days of purchase (if not sooner). My go2dive shop, very happy with their products and service.

Disappointing weather conditions meant that we couldn't do the planned wrecks, so Seth, the skipper, offered closer alternatives or even the option to be dropped at Mountbatten and transport would be arranged back to the shop (this was due to restricted access because of work on the lock, something we were informed about midweek).
The feeling on the boat was to dive, so we did the Breakwater Fort and Firestone, which was great to dive again after not diving it for a few years.
Always a tough for a skipper, but a good call was made, balancing comfort, safety and the range of abilities on the boat.

We had a great day out on the Aquanaut's boat on Saturday. The weather meant that we couldn't visit our planned wreck but Seth, our lovely skipper, had several other options and let the divers decide where they wanted to go for both dives. (He even offered the option of going back to port but nobody wanted to.) Seth made the right decisions on the day and we thoroughly enjoyed our dive 🙂

I’m not one to write bad reviews but I think future customers should be aware about my experience with Aquanauts. There were a few problems that happened during the day:

1) I booked a dive out to two of the wreck boat trips, on the day the weather was very windy and there was southernly wind. Meaning we could not leave the main shipping channel area. So we dived in the main shipping area, which had very strong currents and poor visibility. I think this was a poor substitute and the trip should have been cancelled. Note this change in dive site was made on the boat in the shipping channel not in the dive centre.

2) I hired equipment from the centre, which failed on the first dive. The bcd and inflator house started over inflating 5 minutes into the dive. In the process of this accident I lost some of my own equipment.

3) The skipper did his best for the day and did what he thought was best. I think the problem was management not wanting to cancel the trip.

I will not be using the dive centre or store again, nor will I recommend the dive centre to anyone.

Small, low cost, but hard-to-find product advertised on web here and by nobody much else delivered very promptly and without fuss.

Needed some last minute items before I headed off on a dive trip, called up Aquanauts with some questions and not only were they extreamly helpful they were able to source the last missing item I needed after I placed my order, calling me back and the process for adding the item to my order was extreamly simple. My items arrived the next day and I'm happy to say i'd ready to go diving.
