I used Alpine Aluminium to complete my renovation. My order included 4 windows, a front door and a sliding door and I am extremely happy with the high quality outcome. I visited the showroom to see exactly what I was buying before my purchase and the staff were friendly and happy to help. The installation were on time and left no mess. I would definitely recommend.
Excellent product, great customer service.
After searching all over looking for a high quality sliding door at a reasonable price I came across Alpine and found information on their new "Super slimline sliding door". the salesman quoted me within a matter of minutes and i ordered the same day as it was the slimmest door I could find at such a good price!! Amazing service, couldn't be happier. 100% would recommend.
Amazing service
An utterly terrible company
An utterly terrible company. I had a two panel sliding door installed leading onto my balcony in early 2018. The first appointment was cancelled on the day because the glass wasn't ready and the second because of weather. It was eventually installed by contractors using an Alpine van, despite their contract saying that they only use their own installers. Trim was missing to finish the inside and on the outside, foam was left exposed to the weather and I was told an aluminium pressing was required to make the opening weather tight, which would be an additional cost. The glass had been replaced twice due to occlusions/scratches/finger prints between the glass panes in the 6 months following installation. I had significant leaks, which they attempted to resolve twice by putting silicone between the frame and sill on both the inside and outside, but it still leaked.
They refused to make the opening weathertight without me paying for an aluminium pressing and replace the glass despite its terrible quality (a large number of dimples causing the view through it to be blurry). I filed a small claim which they challenged up until it went to court, then they agreed to replace the glass and install the aluminium pressing. They did this but the glass had yet another hand print between the panes, which was replaced again and the current glass has a significant scratch which they said would be polished out and hasn't been. The aluminium pressing wasn't installed and instead a 25mm plastic trim was installed with silicon to fill the gaps. The door still leaks even in light rain. In heavy rain I have to place a towel on-top of the sill.
DO NOT consider this company. Their marketing is good, their sales team are good, but their product and after sales team are utterly terrible. I will be filing another claim for the full value of the door and will have it replaced by another company.

Besvarelse fra Alpine Aluminium
Got quoted ridiculous prices everywhere…
Got quoted ridiculous prices everywhere else! Quick simple and Cheap with Alpine! Couldn't recommend it enough.
Avoid. Read ALL reviews and make an informed decision.
My advise is do a little digging with Companies House and be careful who you give your money to. Alpines MD; Peter Davidson, previously traded with the company name 'Alpine Windows and Conservatories' before being served a Final Gazette and struck off, most likely for not filing his accounts. I've just checked with Companies House this morning and Alpine Aluminium Ltd (as they are currently trading) have THEIR ACCOUNTS OVERDUE. This is a massive red flag.
Here is my experience so far; I'll happily update this as the ridiculous saga continues.
1- Several days arguing about how they would take my balance payment. Alpine refused to take the balance on a debit card (despite me paying my deposit this way) and demanded a bank transfer. I refused to on the basis this would leave me unprotected. They insisted it was in their terms and conditions. It was not and they had to relent.
2- On the day of installation I got a phone call at 10:10am (approx) to say production had not finished and therefore they would not be coming. No-one could tell me when I could expect the windows and doors and no-one bothered to call that day to update me.
3- That evening I left a negative review on Trustpilot. This provoked a response from Josh Parkin; the General Manager (as his staff refer to him) or 'Chief Executive' (as he refers to himself) and an offer of 10% discount to take my review down. I agreed on the basis there were no more problems but told him explicitly I would publish it again if there were any more issues. He promised installation the following Friday (16th August).
4- On Monday last week I received a call to confirm the windows were being fitted the following day. I advised it had been agreed for Friday 16th.
An hour later I got a call from someone different advising installation would be the following day. I advised it had been agreed for Friday 16th and asked for an email to confirm this. I specifically asked not to be called again. I emailed Josh- he didn't reply but I got a phone call from someone else.
On Friday the fitters arrived in the afternoon- the usual fitter had called in sick and someone else had been drafted onto the job and they had another installation the same day in York (some 2 hours away from my house). As a result my job was rushed and not completed.
The site was left in a dangerous condition with broken glass (from my old window) all over my kitchen and yard (I have two Westies, one of whom is a puppy). It says a lot about about how professional a company is if they are prepared to leave a site in this condition.
The gaps between the walls and windows are filled with foam and not sealed and the render is damaged in several places. The job sheet said the render was to be repaired but the fitter said although it was on his job sheet they should have sent someone from their building team to do this.
I called Josh on Friday. He didn't return my call. Nor would he take my calls yesterday. Eventually (at 16:29 yesterday) he emailed back taking no responsibility and even going so far as to suggest someone in my home was responsible for the damage- for how could I prove it was left like this?. He said he has no paperwork which shows they ever said they would be rendering (despite me having a copy of this) and they NEVER do this (despite their fitters telling us something different and showing us their job sheet)
He also said windows sometimes get broken when they are removed and he cannot legislate for my two dogs, missing the point entirely. I was not concerned about the broken window - nor were my dogs present during installation. The point is after breaking a window the fitters should have tidied up, not left shards of glass all over my property.
According to Josh, I have voided the terms and conditions given to me in the installation confirmation email by not being present for installation - my husband was in the house for installation and I notified Josh this would be the case in a telephone call (obviously Josh has no recollection of this). Furthermore, I have carefully checked over the installation confirmation email and there are NO terms and conditions on there.
Josh said I should think myself lucky to be dealing with someone as senior as him. After 22 minutes of listening to Josh spout nonsense about how important and busy he is and terms and conditions which either don't exist or are not provided to customers I ended the conversation.
I'll happily post all photos and copies of all my documentation on the Alpine Aluminium Facebook page to prove everything I've said in this review as I suspect the next underhand tactic from Alpine will be to accuse me of libel and defamation of character.
It looks like our only choice is involve Trading Standards and our solicitor.
Update: I posted this review three hours ago. I just received an email from Josh advising me his legal team will be pursuing a libel case against me, as predicted. They will be calling out to do the rendering tomorrow though apparently.
I replied to say there will be no one in the house unfortunately and, as per my previous emails I had asked Josh to deal with my husband and not to contact me again. I received a reply from Josh to say 'we will not be attending your property at any point in the future. My legal team will contact you in due course'.
Update: I have now had to pay to have the work completed by someone else.

Really happy with everything from start to finish of my sliding door. I will certainly be recommending to friends looking for the same product.
Well the saga continues!!
Well the saga continues!!! Despite having an engineer visiting us on the 17/06/19 and fixing part of our problem.. he noticed more issues with the bi-folding doors and gave us a service report which we expected to be addressed as soon as possible despite several emails with the customer service, nothing has happened! I never dealt with such a poor customer after care.. it looks like as soon they get your payment, they forget about their due diligence!
Avoid at all costs!
Fantastic service from start to finish
Fantastic service from start to finish. From ordering them with sales who took the time to understand what I needed. I ordered the AP45 sliding door at a great price. Installation was smooth from when the fitters first arrived until they took me on a walk round of the install and showed me how the doors should be worked. Lastly I would like to mention the customer service team who were very informative and attentive throughout the whole process. Highly recommend.
rubbish standard of work, will not fix issues
Be wary of this bunch of cowboys. When they came to install one of sets of doors they'd made it 100mm to small and the handle was a different colour to all the rest. The guy who phoned me back about arranging a replacement tried to tell me it was supposed to be like that!
Eventually they came and put in the correct size.
A month later one of the tilt before turn windows broke, when it was turning, it was still tilting and hitting the wall. a month after they 'repaired' it, it broke again.
All winter there has been a howling gale coming through one of the doors, the insulation strip is about 6 inches too short and the door is not fitted tight in the frame. I've messaged several times over the last few months, they stopped responding to emails. I phoned them and was apparently bumped to a priority case. that was 3 weeks ago and still nothing.
Do not use this company
After being let down by our builder and…
After being let down by our builder and his favoured supplier, my brother recommended I try Alpine and I can see why. The service from Alpine has been magnificent, start to finish. Alpine were quick to provide a quotation to meet our needs whilst taking into account what we were looking to achieve with the entire extension. The doors and windows were installed within 3 weeks and we couldn't be happier with the finished look.
“Our dedicated team provide exceptional service”. Yeah, right.
Alpine installed windows on 20th and 21st of February 2019. Two triangular windows on the gable end have a gap above the, 5mm at the bottom rising to 30mm at the top. It is now more than 4 months later and the gaps are still there. No one returns calls. In that time they have sent and engineer to fit ‘fillets’ to cover the gap which would have looked awful and been an unacceptable solution had the parts supplied even been the right size (too wide for the bottom and too short). His opinion of the windows as fitted ended “excuse my French”. He wrote a report and took measurements. They lost that. They then sent their surveyor out who said “they clearly need to be remade”. He remeasured and that never made it back to my file until I had chased several times. For the last week someone has been waiting for a reply to an email to Josh Parkin (General Manager, I am told), who is sick/away/“I don’t know where he is”. It seems there is precious little management going on up there.
Really quick and hassle free service
Really quick and hassle free service. Would recommend.
Came across Alpine Aluminium after me…
Came across Alpine Aluminium after me and my partner were let down by another company and looking for someone to quickly install a sliding door in our home. Gave them a call and spoke to Connor (the salesman) who was very helpful and quick to get us a price after explaining our situation. Cannot fault the whole process - no nonsense and very quick service! The doors themselves look great. Thank you to Connor and Alpine for your help, would recommend to anyone.
Sliding door review
We had our sliding doors installed, they look fantastic. However the lock was always a bit stiff; 6 weeks after installation we couldn’t open the lock. We rang and we’re told that somebody would come out in one weeks time to fix it. I spoke to Michelle on several occasions and she was always extremely helpful and seemed to understand our frustrations. The install team did arrive on the scheduled date and fixed the lock as promised. It is now better than it has ever been and we are extremely happy with our doors.
Poor service in handling a faulty handle and lock
I got a bi-folding patio door installed on Monday this week. The installation went fine, although the installers forgot to give me a call an hour before they arrived to allow me enough time to get back home from work. Luckily I was getting some work done in the kitchen, so the tradesman let them in. I then arrived on site, the door installation went fine and I signed all the necessary paperwork and left to go back to work.
In the evening on that same day, I tried to open the door but the push T-handle would not work and therefore I could not open the door fully. The lock was also jammed and the key would not turn either. I reported these issues on the same day via email.
On Tuesday, after a number of phone calls and repeated explanations as to what was wrong with the door, they promised they would send someone on that same day to look into it. I then called them again before closure of business to check whether they had sent an engineer or not and was told the engineer had to leave earlier for the day and could not check the door, so they would try and send someone on the Wednesday.
On Wednesday morning I called again and they informed me that actually an engineer had been on site and confirmed that the handle was to be replaced. This was contradicting what they had previously stated the day before. They then said they would send someone on the Wednesday to get the handle fixed. On Wednesday evening I checked the handle and I could open/close the door smoothly but the lock was still jammed so I could not lock the door.
I then complained via email and received a response with no signature saying this matter had been reported to their Operations Manager. The calls made the previous day also mentioned that this case had been reported to their Operations Manager. In their email, there were no further details, no contact details were provided as to whom to contact to follow up on this matter, not even a basic timeframe given as to when the lock would be fixed.
Over the phone I always liaised with a lady from their Accounts Department and another Admin staff member. What I really wanted was for me to speak to the After Sales Team (they report on their website their After Sales Team email address, phone number etc.). So, I rang the After Sales Team on a number of times on Tuesday and Wednesday and nobody picked up (Aftersales: 0113 4689291).
I received in the meantime their guarantee in the post. How could they issue a guarantee for something that was faulty in first place and that was reported promptly?
I informed the sales contact that the door he sold me was faulty - no response as of today.
I requested their complaint procedure - no response.
I asked for the contact details of the Operations Manager so that I could deal with the person who has been asked to deal with this matter - no response.
The level of service is poor as they will just fob me off saying someone is looking into it without providing any further details as to whom, when and how will I hear back from them.
Their website quote that they are a member of the Consumer Protection Association. If you check with the CPA you will soon find out they are misinforming and misleading customers by saying they are a member of the CPA.
I paid for the door in full and I am very frustrated I spent a lot of money on a door that should have been fit for purpose and apparently it isn't. A door that cannot be locked isn't worth buying as your home insurance won't respond!
Amazing 7 day turn around from initial…
Amazing 7 day turn around from initial quote to installation. Couldn't be happier with the finish and it's completion time.
Great company!
I chose to use AA after they were the only company out of several local ones who didn't use pushy sales techniques. I found the sales team to be consistent, friendly and genuine; they let the product speak for itself. I am really happy with the work which has been carried out and had no hesitation to make a positive recommendation.
