I paid in advance in 2023 for a course of thirteen treatments at the Birmingham clinic, 28 Waterfront Walk. Six were provided. Seven were not. My requests for a refund were refused.
I brought a claim in the County Court and obtained judgment against the company in January 2026. It has not been paid.
A County Court warrant of control was later returned unsatisfied, on the basis that the bailiff could not trace the address, despite the clinic trading openly at those premises throughout.
The clinic at that address now trades under the name AllySkin. The website for it does not display a registered company name or company number.
I have reported this matter to Trading Standards. The judgment remains outstanding.
If you are considering paying in advance for a course of treatments, consider what recourse you would have if those treatments were not delivered. In my case a County Court judgment has not been enough.

The staff in Leeds Allyskin were brilliant. I somehow mistakenly came at 1:30pm when my appointment was at 1pm. But they were brilliant with me. They looked after me.
Rebecca did the face laser and was brilliant.
Bryony was lovely I didn’t need to worry about anything and she got me sorted. Bryony did the full body laser. She was brilliant and looked after me.
The staff included Edita are lovely they looked after me, do all the treatments and help me understand my treatments and my progress.
It helps me with my independence. My carers take me to Allyskin and pick me up later. I don’t need to relay on my carers because the staff are brilliant it helps me with my Autism to know where to seat, where to go, what’s happening and it helps with me to focus and not get worried or have an anxiety.
I have been going to the Leeds one for a few years and the staff have been lovely

I would give this company 0 starts if that was possible. I brought pre payed for laser treatment and without giving me a refund or alternative there just e mailed me saying the company has gone into admin and my future appointments are all cancelled but what about the money there took? Apparently there reopened under the name ALLYSKIN and it’s crazy how you can’t even walk in and speak to them as the staff downstairs will not allow you to go up and have a chat without a valid appointment e mai. AVOID AVOIDED AVOID. Will be reporting this to Action Crime and HMRC

Been getting a Hollywood laser hair removal and after only 2 sessions I can already see the results. My skin is smooth and the hair is growing a lot slower. Sam the manager is great too, very accommodating, friendly and professional.

Staff a really friendly and put you at ease. Had excellent results from laser hair removal.

I am a transgender client with the Birmingham branch via the NHS.
Everything about this process has been amazing. I am disabled and the venue is accessible, and all effort is made to make sure I'm ok.
When I have needed to cancel appointments there has been no issue - in fact I came to one electrolysis appointment and my hair growth wasn't enough so my appointment was rescheduled last minute without me losing any time.

The clinician who treats me (I'm sorry I forget names so easily) is wonderful. She explains everything, including that the amount of sessions the NHS funds aren't enough to be hair free, and gives you all your options without any pressure to spend more money if you can't, and will work with you to find the best options

She is very sensitive to trans issues, which can be a rarity in cisgender clinicians, and always puts me at ease

I paid for an electrolysis appointment in full weeks before my appointment. I tried to rearrange my appointment but was unable to get through via phone call. The day of the appointment came and I did not want to waste the appointment so I traveled from Cardiff to Bristol to reach my appointment. Once I arrived having already paid for the Bristol clean air charge and parking I get a phone call telling me that my appointment was cancelled due to the electrolysis machine being broken. I was told that I had to email customer services to get a refund. Furious at the situation I entered the building as I wanted to speak to someone face to face and found that the phone on the desk was unplugged- hence why they didn't answer my calls. I have since spent the last few weeks trying to get a hold of someone in the company to get a refund I have emailed 3 different addresses. I have called several different numbers and I am always met with "you need to submit an email to claim a refund" THEY WILL NOT RESPOND. I cannot warn you enough- do not give Allyskin any money. I am at the point where I'm having to go to my bank to get a refund.

The customer service is painful. If you want to move an appointment they don't answer the phone or emails at all. After my current course I won't be booking again.

DEE was amazing so nice and helped me out with my progress helping me check my progress and was amazing at lasering my hair off making sure I get what my money is worth! 🩷thank you!

Terrible customer service!!! My appointment was cancelled without notice after it taking months for me to book it. No words on this review can describe how much they suck!! Will be reporting to HMRC

I have 2 laser hair removal sessions left from Skinspace Bristol and received an email today saying that the company has ceased operations.

It looks like the company has changed their name to Allyskin and still operates at the same location.

It baffles me that a company can simply change the name and not refund its customers.

Skinspace UK now known as ALLYSKIN is a company I would strongly advise people to avoid both as a client and as a potential employee. I worked here for just over three months and my wages were paid late every single pay day. My salary was due on 30 June and I only received half of what I was owed. I was then told the remaining balance would be paid on 3 July yet eight days later I still have not received it. I have contacted the company multiple times and have either been ignored or dismissed. Nobody has been willing to take responsibility or provide any meaningful help. I have remained patient and professional throughout this situation but there comes a point where it becomes completely unacceptable. This is my salary and it is being withheld. Like everyone else I have bills to pay, a car to finance and a life to live. During my time working here I also witnessed concerning practices. Prices were regularly changed simply to encourage clients to purchase packages. I was also made aware by my own manager that the Hydrafacial products being used were not genuine on many occasions yet treatments continued regardless. I never wanted to leave a public review but after exhausting every other option I feel people deserve to know about my experience. Working for this company caused far more stress than it was ever worth. If you are considering applying for a job here or booking treatment as a client I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
