We ordered two recliners at end of…
We ordered two recliners at end of February - told 8-10 weeks for delivery - paid 50% deposit. Obviously delayed because of pandemic. Kept in frequent touch with the staff on email requesting updates, but for past 10 days cannot get hold of anyone. If they have gone into administration have the decency to actually contact your customers and refund their hard earned cash! It is disgusting they are appearing as everything is normal - dreadful way to treat people - shame on you Alan Ward!!

We bought our suite from Alan Ward a few tears ago and we have a problem with the leather had like dark dots on it but Alan Ward where superb and reolved the issue for us 5 *

Frustrating that i dont get confirmation that Cousins are aware if this missing piece!
I bought a dining set from Alan Ward in February this year, took delivery beginning of march. I understand because of the virus the shop is closed but i wad missing the three seat pads off the bench. I emailed beginning in may and was told they had no idea when seat pads would arrive so by email i would have an extension leaf instead. They had been paid for the seat pads back in February. I was told they would arrange delivery of the extension leaf. Since then i have heard nothing sent six emails different ways over the last month and had nothing back! Seems either there isnt anyone even looking at emails? No customer service?
I received a phone call to say cousins would be in touch? I filled in the relevant form on cousins website (twice)! But still not heard anything its been six weeks since i filled in the form first. I only want the extension leaf for the dining table and just before Alan Ward closed they were in the process of delivering this item so i know its in the warehouse? But i would just be happy to get a reply? I have phoned the number on the letter i received from cousins and they dont answer!

Took our order, then ignored us
Due to take delivery of items at the start of April - it's now over 2 months later. Since then, we've been ignored no to end. They refuse to answer the phone lines - it just cuts off. Emails are being ignored. They have over £2.5k of our deposit. I understand COVID as I run a business myself - but at the very least they could of kept 1 or 2 employees on to keep people informed on the status of their orders. I have now started a chargeback for non-delivery. Overall I'm extremely disappointed as the in-store experience was good - but the after-sales service has been shockingly poor. I would never expect this from such a high-profile business that sells high-end goods.

Has Alan Ward Ceased Trading?

- companycheck.co.uk is reporting a downgrade to their credit check info (to credit limit of £0 which is a bad sign)
- article in Shropshire Star suggests they are in administration
Before lock down my sofa was due to be next off the production line. However, whilst most furniture stores seem to have reopened, Alan Ward remains closed and is not responding to mesaages on either the contact phone number nor Web address provided for updates during the covid situation. I can only assume that the business is in dire financial circumstances and is delaying the inevitable by remaining furloughed and closed? I'd be delighted to hear otherwise as it has been a good retailer in my previous experience and I fear for the jobs of its staff. However, what else am I to think if it's not taking the opportunity to open up nor respond to customer enquiries regarding outstanding deliveries???
I would be grateful for some form of reaponse...

Not sure if this Company is even still trading!
Not sure if this Company is even still trading?
Table and sideboard delivery due a month ago early May - no contact from Alan Ward to warn about delay. No response to my email and phone line just has a recorded message saying most staff are furloughed. I have no idea if we are going to receive the goods valued at over £2k - am now pursuing through my credit card company.
I understand times are difficult and expect delays, but they should at least have the courtesy to keep customers updated when they’ve spent this much money.

Everyone was helpful and nice
Everyone was helpful and nice, not pushy. Sofa and chair arrived early, delivery guys brilliant. Only criticism was sales person for final deal took a long time and I had to leave to go and fetch my kids from school. Would have preferred to come back another day but instead was rushed to complete order and pay deposit. Had to return next day as a consequence to check all order correct, good job I did as address incorrect and cushion order not completed.

Very good salesman and excellent product
Very good salesman who actually listened to what we wanted from our sofas and was honest in his assessment of the available products, without pressurising us into a sale.
Delivery was efficient with the sofas placed in position and the old sofas and all packing removed.
We are very pleased with the quality of the sofas, they are exactly the same as in the showroom. All in all an excellent experience.
Well done Alan Ward, keep up the high standards.
